I blame the refs in the first 2 games more than anything. When I saw some of the calls they were letting slide, it made sense why Denver simply wasn’t able to recover after having the snot beaten out of them. No wonder Malone was so angry in game 2

The fact he’s built like that is why he has the softest touch in the league. Maybe ever.
He actually developed his hook shot, floater and that soft touch in the paint growing up and playing against his much older brothers. They were towering giants over him so he had to figure out how to score against them.

I can't imagine how it felt playing hoops without refereeing and trying to take the physical play without whining, because I grew up in Belgrade, Projects in New Belgrade, my Gym teacher was Bata Djordjevic future national coach and Sasha Djordjevic father who went to same school as me! Anyone calling for faul was deemed weak, so I imagine that he's early days were far harder, because he had to prove to his brothers that he is worthy! He also developed intelligence in how to absorb and avoid bigger man,using his brain instead of athleticism! Anyway, he is extremely strong, has great reflexes and his stamina is unbelievable!

All the respect in the world to the wolves rn, but seriously what more help do they actually need? Two all stars (both of which will likely be all nba and one was 7th in mvp voting, the defensive player of the year, the sixth man of the year, a coach of the year finalist, and at least a second player who will likely be all defensive team… As a nuggets fan I don’t know that I’m sold on the nuggets winning the series yet. Not sure I ever will be until it’s actually over and they’ve either won or lost, but In all actuality the wolves have talent over the nuggets right now. The nuggets are the best clutch team in the league, have a championship mentality, and are battle tested. If the nuggets win this is actually a massive W for JJ Reddick and Lebron James for literally talking about experience in one of their recent podcasts.
Yeah until there is 4 wins for Denver, it's not over, game 5 and 6 are going to be tough also yeah if Denver win Lebron and JJ podcast stocks is going up.
as a wolves fan myself i think the losses show just how composed and experienced Denver is as a unit. i think the series is up in the air, people counted Denver out too soon and then just as quickly started calling minnesota washed. if the next games are like games 1 and 4, things are gonna be really fun to watch.

Monica (sorry if I misspelled, referring to the female analyst in this segment) really knows her stuff. She never counted the nuggets out and her analogy of Gordon is perfect. He’s the release valve. AG gets cooking when Joker and Murray are making the defense scared of them. Gordon is absolutely elite at finding open space for catch and shoots as well as paint attempts when the lead creators are doing their job.

Wolves problem is simple to fix. Do not play Gobert. I repeat DO NOT PLAY RUDY GOBERT. The team play so much better and with more space when he is not on the floor. Game 2 is a classic example.

What people don’t understand and don’t mention enough, is that the Denver Nuggets have the hearts of champions and not only that, you can tell that they want it more. I know the Minnesota Timberwolves probably want to win also, but the Denver Nuggets want to win more than the Minnesota Timberwolves won to win.

The game was always just back and forth buckets, the lead never went anywhere or went away. The nuggets hardly won the game per se, but the Wolves lost. To anyone who didn't watch the game, the 12 point lead that stayed the whole game all came about when the Twolves thought it was a smart idea to not have ANT, KAT, or Rudy on the floor in the start of the 2nd Q for a good 3-4 minutes. Once at least one was in the lead virtually stayed the same. But sure, let's attribute it to the nuggets having the heart of a champion.
Jokic make all good defenders look like fools. Adebayo, AD, Jarren Jackson. Gobert and Naz did a good job game 1&2 but the joker figured them out.
