OKAY, HAMSTERS SHOULD NOT BE IN WATER. Hamsters can't dry themselves like cats can, and it can cause them to be super cold and maybe even freeze to death. Water can cause wet tail, which is a deadly disease (one of my past hamsters died from it). Wet tail can be caused from other things, too. It can be caused by bad foods, water, sudden major increase of stress, etc. You also SHOULDN'T put ANY hamsters together! They are solitary creatures that only come together to breed! After about 8-9 weeks of age, they will start to feel territorial, and will fight sometimes to the death. Hamsters should only use solid plastic wheels, as mesh ones can cause injuries and bumble foot. And finally, chewing on cages ISN'T OKAY. Hamsters chew on cages because of BOREDOM. It is not cute, nor funny. The most common reason is because the cage is TOO SMALL. Hamsters need a bare minimum of 450sq of floorspace. Cage chewing can cause serious health issues. Hamsters also need 6+ inches of bedding so they can burrow and do their natural behaviours. ALWAYS do a ton of research before you get any species of pet!

Agreed. I thought this would be a cute video but by the second clip scared me. I feel so bad for the little hamster who was stuck on the wheel. I don't understand why wire wheels are even still a thing? The plastic ones are much safer and more fun for the little cuties and probably cost less to make anyways. In a lot cases I feel like it people just don't fully understand how to take care of their little buddies, like they genuinely care about and love them but just don't know how certain things can affect their hamsters.

None of these are cute or funny. The first one.. that’s called stargazing. Hamsters do that when they’re very very stressed and it can be fatal. They clean themselves and use sand baths. Putting them in water ride of the natural oils in their skin and permanently damages it.
