  • As a Packers fan, my hat's off to Caleb Hanie. He performed admirably in an incredibly tough situation. It's every kid's dream. Down two scores, a trip to the Superbowl hangs in the balance, and coach calls your number. He almost got them there. As happy as I was for the Packers to win that game, I think just about everyone became a Hanie fan that day. How could you not? It was a gritty performance against nearly impossible odds, and he almost brought them back. I'm sure there are a few throws he'd love to have back, but the kid's got nothing to hang his head about!

    • Dom Capers was the biggest contributor to that. Once Hanie came in, Cpers ceased blitzing, sat back and made Hanie beat them. That strategy almost backfired.

  • How did Cutler keep his job after this game? Hanie was leading a comeback but did a better job than Cutler could've.

    • Cutler was playing with an MCL injury. Hanie had a shot the following season when Cutler got injured after leading the Bears to a 7-3 record. Hanie lost 5 straight games and killed their season. He was absolutely god awful. A lot of people forget Cutler was pretty good a couple years ago.

    • Bears had a defense and a great young receiving core. As a bears fan I still can’t believe we didn’t make it back to playoffs with Marshall and Jeffery. The team failed to have a defense like this. When urlacher left it was like he took the defense with him and that’s what killed chicago.   • James Starks was such a wonderful speed and second back to have. Always productive when we needed him to be. Same thing with Sam Shields: he struggled to stay healthy a few years but when on the field he was pretty productive and one of my favorite players to watch. The early 2010s Packers players were an awesome and loveable bunch. Go Pack!

  • Even if the Bears had won this game and gone to the Super Bowl, I honestly think they would have been blown out/crushed by the Steelers. Its almost as if the Packers did them a favor and saved them from embarassment. Sure the Bears D was solid, but the Offense wasnt that great despite some good players i.e. Hester, Knox, Forte, Bennet, Olsen, Gould etc. Cutler would have screwed up a ton in the big game
