Louisiana's wild hog problem is getting worst every year.I set five traps and caught in two of them for a total of 13 pigs in two days.I show the whole process from setting our homemade traps, baiting the traps, catching the pigs ,cleaning the pigs and cooking a awesome jambalaya.I have caught up to 32 in one trap and as many as 58 in one weekend.
Man that’s the life right there hunting trapping and feeding family and friends. Keep the good videos coming
Thanks Daniel! I appreciate you watching and commenting!
I agree im in the city
@@johnengland8619 it’s nice to know someone upp there respects our way of life and how we feed our familys
@Jan Garcia yea and I have everlasting respect for you too man I hope life’s going good for you!
I hate I live in the city, man these videos make me want to move. Love the videos!
I'm a biologist and not a hunter but many of my friends are. Someone has to do this as it is vital for balanced nature conservation. Also, hunters donate tons of meat to local food banks annually. Thank you!!
Thanks Jeff! I appreciate you commenting and saying it needs to be done.I can only imagine what would happen if nobody hunted or trapped the pigs.
Yep. Thanks for makin it all ethical and clean.
we are the last species to have any moral right to talk abt maintaining balance. unfortunately we r the only ones that can talk. balance would be when 90 % of the humans died and there is minimal human animal conflict. wouldn't be needing 76 million dollars in Louisiana then. crops would be enough for the remaining 800 mln humans. w/o unnatural (mechanised) farming that is

I'm Muslim and live in Canada. I don't even eat pork and I've never seen a wild hog in my life, and yet I loved this video! Goes to show that some things are universal... like you catching your own food, not wasting any meat, donating to the community and cooking for friends and family. 👍
Thank you so much! Appreciate this comment!
@@user-bd9rp3vr1f you’re just jealous that you can’t eat pork. Feels bad to be you

Hello Hamza. I fully understand that as a Muslim, Mohammed strictly forbids eating pork. But as a non-muslim, educate me on why God, who created such animals in the first place. for his children to eat in order to obtain protein for our bodies to stay healthy. I personally know Muslims who eat non-halal meat & chicken. So my question remains: "why can Muslims eat non-halal meat. but can't eat pork,?
@@rickprusak9326 Because it is a filthy animal that feeds on excrement and dirt that is harmful to humans, it feeds, for example, on dead mice, which are the cause of the emergence of a dangerous worm in the muscles of the pig .... It was also forbidden to the Jews before us ... As for why we eat halal meat for the sake of the method of slaughter.. If there is torture in the animal, then it is forbidden for us to eat it.. The Islamic religion forbids slaughter in unconventional ways in which there is severe torment for animal
Wild hog management sounds like a great way to save crops and provide meat for needy families all over The country! Best part is they are a free roaming food source!! You're an inspiration Ken. I think you're into a good thing here!
Keeping the environments balance, making their own foods, helping other folks out of food reach and enjoying the hunts. Godbless you guys!!

The fact your helping the environment by catching, and eating your hunts without anything going 2 waist is a major plus. I have alot of respect for people who hunt the right way and not just 2 kill but 2 hunt for purpose of food. Respect. Keep up the good work💯🤟

You are doing a great service to family, friends and people in general. I love your channel. Keep it going.
I admire this so much! Here in Portugal as in most of the world, we have the same plague but instead of being able to control it, we have major restrictions to control the populations, we are rarely allowed to hunt. It's getting worst every year with the flufly daisy lobbies that have never set a foot in nature and don't understand the dynamics of the ecossistems saying you can't kill the poor animals. In Germany, hunters are getting paid per head to control this plague. In Portugal we get arrested if we kill 1 without being in an organised hunting. Ridiculous!!!
Wow! That’s crazy David ! Thanks for watching and commenting! Looks like the pig populations are exploding around the world. Hope they end up letting you guys hunt them. Take care brother!
The Lord Jesus said 3x in the Book of John that satan is “the prince of this world”. That’s why we don’t have such freedoms- instead satan loves bondage and death. But “If you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”- Romans 10:9.
exactly the damage they cause is unreal in portugal not only to peoples gardens but the tracks they drive on to get to there houses
@@alanhutchings6713 the lord said I made all the animals and everything there is and put man in charge to work out thing to cull scavengers and keep danger away from us but Satan says the opposite to get maximum kill of humanity here in Australia you cannot swim in creeks or rivers any more for a good half of the continent there are millions of crocidiles that will eat you the people are set up for a massive slaughter if someone attacks here and it is looking like china is going to do it if they can and we only have a 4 shot rifle allowed for us now the pollies worldwide have been allowed to much power to correct that massive death to the populations of the countries that are having problems
They know they eating all y'all food. So they help with population reduction essentially. Poor countries really have it bad. You can't even hunt wild food in a place where food is scarce
I am 65 now, when I was in my 20's I had a mentor that cooked this stuff. James Goudeau, one of the best people I have ever known. I would die if I had the opportunity to eat his cooking today

They're all over! I went on a pig hunt in Okeechobee Florida (I also hunt Iguanas in south Florida, with a pellet gun). Plenty of them in Texas and elsewhere.

Great Job on your part for trying to maintain balance to the ecosystem the land around your trap location looks healthy. Wild hogs such as these are so devastating to the landscape. Here in Texas we see it first hand with having the highest population of wild hogs.

I like the way you come up to the trap, not making the pigs more nervous than necessarily, and killing them at the spot without making much noise, a .22 is pretty silent. I've seen disgusting vids with people doing what they can to stir up the pigs.
