Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10 years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.
If you see any factual food errors in my videos, please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. • 13:01 Definitely a quesadilla. Also, the mushy, baked Mac & cheese is a northern thing. I’m from the northeastern part of the US, but have lived in several states….including down south. Up home the baked Mac & cheese is soft, but when I was living in the south it was al dente. I like both, but grew up on the softer texture…that’s how my mom made it. I make it al dente, because … culinary school. 😂❤

    • Try making a baked Mac n cheese like a au gratin but make the cheese sauce a bit thinner. Could bake it from uncooked pasta, to a less than al dente, al dente or fully cooked pasta. Obviously a root veg au gratin is raw, but might work for a baked Mac. Definitely something that's possible, just some trial and error. Or even doing a single layer of Mac but like a lasagna, then you stack the layers when finishing the dish. Then you're not baking cooked pasta forever, the layers between will have some other texture and finish with whatever sauce and crumb topping. Make the single layer Mac lasagna, cool it, when serving reheat on a flattop or pan, stack the layers with a little sauce between them top with more sauce and garnish toppings. Maybe even doing a bechamel sauce for the lasagna, finish with a bit more robust cheese sauce between layers lightly and then a more generous amount on top. I work at a hotel that caters to a lot of college students, I'm definitely going to get with a coworker of mine and make this special. Something tells me they'll love it.

  • The most surprising thing in this whole video is finding that $1 hotdog. Especially in NY. Basic as it is some carts would still charge like 5-7$ for it.
