The India we always DREAMED of | Family travel in India, Episode 2
Take good care of you no matter where life takes you with AG1 drinkag1.com/thenewbys
As a foreign family backpacking in India we have been hoping to immerse ourselves into the culture and daily life of India. To ensure our two boys meet other children and that we are able to have genuine honest experiences that mean we both learn and understand India better.
In this episode, our second from India, we get into the rhythm of travel and as well as enjoying the hospitality of locals we also stay at our most comfortable hotel on the entire trip. Rohet Garh.

Please go to ladakh in india ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You guys are showing real culture of India, nice love from India from delhi
Thanks!
I'm Indian-origin, outside of India for my entire 40 years. I moved to India on a whim at the beginning of the pandemic. I knew just the basics of Hindi and the local language where my grandparents were from. And it feels like I finally took a breath, and my arms were filled, and my heart was beating.
You followed your heart and found your "true" home. Congratulations, I am happy for you. So many of us never make that all important step because we ignore the music of our heart.
I hope you can imagine what joy you bring to us who are watching your experiences with the boys, your locals that you meet, the sights and sounds in which you are immersed and in taking us to places that most of us will never go. Thank you so much for this travel experience with you and your family. What a delight!!!!🥰
Thank you for all the support and for this comment friend. We love being able to share these moments with you and to be able to take you along with us wherever we go 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
I echo this! Health prevents me visiting places where tummy upsets could prove fatal for me. I’m absolutely thrilled to be eye witness to such life experiences via your channel @TheNewbys
Come to India, I will keep you in my home and you will love to meet my family. I will show you the best places in India at my own expense. You are our guest.
Thank you for your kind invitation! However at my age I regret my travel days are restricted to watching on YOU TUBE@@Aryanindia47448
What a beautiful and humble family who shared their home with you. You never see nor find people like them in the USA or Canada.
What glorious experiences. Thank you for showing me why my grandmother, American born and raised with a life well lived, adored India and both she and my grandfather had converted to Vedantism before they met. She dedicated her later life working for and becoming dear friends with Swami Nikhilananda who founded the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Center in NYC a Vedanta Temple. My grandmother traveled with him throughout India. I knew the Swami as our family friend but was not old enough, nor schooled enough to travel with my grandmother who sadly passed away when I was seven. Crusoe for sure will have some vivid memories of this trip. You are giving us all such a wonderful visit. Thank you so much for every post you make whether from Portugal or your travels. Happy New Year❤❤❤❤Ellen
Thanks Ellen! Your grandma sounds like one amazing woman! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend.
European culture will rise again. It's culture will defeat religion and respect for our forefathers will increase. Family system will be back into prominence. European warriors will rise again ❤
You must say...Sanaatan dharm...Or vedic dharm... Or hindu dharm...Or Arya dharm.... Don't say vedantisim...Bcz it's seems like you are talking about any new seperate religion

Not sure why exactly, but the home visit with the family, children and elderly all around brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for posting content that can make you think about life on a little deeper level. ❤
A beautiful visit for sure Pamela. It was very special and we are so grateful to the family. Thanks!
Yeah if you go to any indian village you find this positivity and happiness despite they may have some problems in village but they are most pure souls because of thinking of indian religion they don't need any therapist despite having difficulties in their life
We love this episode in India! So many delightful experiences around every corner. So good to see Sawyer and Crusoe immersed in the Indian culture. Priceless❤❤️ ❤❤
Thanks Jackie! ❤️❤️
To all the naysayers from last week, delighted that the boys have safely and joyfully had all these great experiences in this amazing country. India: unforgettable!
Thanks Helen!!
🙄
India is a whole other world altogether. There’s no place like it. Just watching this makes you realise why India has 1.5 billion people and yet has some of the worlds most recognisable and magnificent animals, all living in harmony, while the country races ahead economically. I hope India’s ancient culture is preserved on its march to modernity. Thank you for this video.
Welcome to India 🇮🇳❤️. Experience the oldest civilization. 🙏
The people around small villages are so wellcoming, lovely kind nature. Cruseo and Sawyer will learn so much from your Indian adventure 💚
Thanks so true Sheila! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend.
Absolutely the most enjoyable 25 minutes of touring with your family so far! Meeting and engaging with Locals is so natural for all of you. Watching your children enjoy, totally enjoy this different culture is amazing. Cruso playing the ball game was so natural. Sawyer seems to be growing up so fast during these adventures. Please show us how well the Henna holds up. Beautiful artwork!
We will keep an eye on the Henna. It’s doing well so far! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend.
Hi Newbys, what a wonderful video! It is so nice to be welcomed by people you don't even know and made to feel so special by their hospitality and warmth. What a special experience for all of you. I loved seeing how the wheel was spun to create the pot. That is super cool!
Hi Frances. It was such a magical experience and we wouldn’t change it for the world 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
So true! India is famous for it's hospitality I have a friend that travels there once a yr, primary for the people because they are so warm and friendly!
This is making me miss India so much my husband and I went to India for twenty years we loved it so much there’s a place we visited called matheran you get a train from Mumbai and change to a toy train that takes around the mountains it’s amazing there are no cars or bikes there every thing go’s up there on train or horses we chose horses I’d never been on one before I loved it it’s like an old cowboy town no traffic at all horses everywhere I think you would love it stay safe you beautiful family xxxx
Beautiful friend. What a life, what an adventure. Great to hear from you, thanks for watching!! ❤️❤️🙏🙏
Matheran is just an amazing place. Quiet, serene, and peaceful, no honking and loud noises. Just nature and calmness.
If u want to visit and experience vrindavan holi festival of colours during March any year u r welcome .. food and stay will be on us I run a small guest house here 🙏hare Krishna 😊
Hi Newbys, you're really giving me a little taste of India! The boys are soaking it all in! Hope you're all well and enjoying travel to the fullest!
Hi Claire. Great to hear from you. We are so happy to hear you’ve been enjoying these videos. Stay tuned for some more fun Indian adventures 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
Loved Seeing the Henna getting applied to Tara’s hand. The potters’ wheel was really cool to watch.Crusoe & Sawyer loving their Indian experiences.🫶🏻🫖🥁

Because wee Hindu 🙏 know how to love our world.. welcome to India 🙏 sir
Could we imagine such a warm welcome in foreign countries when we go ? I don't think so!! This is India ❤ this is sanatan.
What a great adventure! Core memories being made for Crusoe and Sawyer❤ Just a suggestion since you have already put out one book…. A children’s picture book “Explore with Crusoe and Sawyer” you already have your outline. Be brave, and think big, explore.
Thanks so much Cindy! You have a great suggestion there friend, that is definitely the plan ❤️🙏🏼😃
Great idea! Brilliant 🤗💖💫💗🌎🙏✌
Oh, guys, what an amazing vlog. I'm in awe. The people in India are so warm and friendly. What a fantastic fabulous opportunity for the whole family. Thank you so much for letting us be part of your journey 😊😊❤ Lesley
Thank you Lesley! ❤️❤️🙏🙏
WE HINDUS LOVE ALL EVEN YOU ARE WELCOME TO MY HOUSE ❤❤❤❤
In India ,there is a saying “atithi devo bhava” meaning treat your guests like god. I am so glad you enjoyed a glimpse of Rajasthan and I again wished I had an opportunity to host you guys in Mumbai. Crusoe enjoying the music and playing cricket was a delight to watch.Tara, you looked soooo pretty in 0:20 the pink top😊
Too bad you did not contact them cos they were in Mumbai before they came to Rajasthan.
Beautiful! ❤
@@themintleaf1778 I did mention in the comments that I would love to meet them much before they left for a trip to India. ( from what I know, their schedule was fixed)
Thank you Anu! Well said friend. ❤️🙏

Thanks Janice!
Now Rohet Garh is my kind of place. This is what I was hoping to see. Thank you for sharing this beautiful part of India. It's the part of India I always dreamed of too. How special it was to see Crusoe getting into the music at the hotel.
Exactly Rick. Awesome!!
Such a special place to visit! These videos will being so much joy and memories flooding back when they are watched years from now. To see your boys enjoy playing with children across the globe as if they lived next door. Just WOW! My daughter has several friends from India and was just part of a wedding. The dresses and traditions she experienced were truly magical! And the Henna you had done, just as beautiful as the Henna she had (part of the celebration prior to the Ceramony) so glad you are all having the time of your lives!❤
That is one of the reasons why we love taking all these videos Angie, so our boys can look back and remember all the fun things we got up to. An Indian wedding sounds incredible, we can imagine what it must have been like! Thanks so much for watching 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
@@TheNewbysExplore Actually this is the wedding season in India. So you'll definitely find lots of weddings happening in India.
Henna is part of tradition but their is cool reason behind that henna makes our body cool and controls our tension while seeing that beautiful design 😅. Google answer if you won't believe. to utilize its natural medicinal herbal remedies, cooling the body and relieving the Bride of any stress before her big day. Henna is applied to both the hands and the feet as a means of cooling the nerve-endings of the body, preventing the nerves from tensing up.
For every act in marriage their is reson behind it. If you people know that you gone feel how beautiful it was and my indian traditions. Jai siya ram. Om namashivaya
Had to smile through this video. Reminded me a bit of South African villages. Such hospitable people the Indians seem to be. What an experience for your little boys. Enjoy the rest of your trip through India.
That’s true Theresa! ❤️❤️
Hi John, Tara, Crusoe and Sawyer……what a marvellous experience for you all and especially the boys, to be invited to the home you visited …a real, normal family life experience. And what a beautiful hotel complex….you deserve the treat!! Great episode. Best wishes and ❤ Julie 😊
Hi Julie. Words cant begin to describe how thankful we are for the incredible hospitality shown. We will forever remember that moment 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
I am so proud to see my country and it's culture and the hospitality of my people ..❤❤ Jai Bharat 🙏
I am enjoying this series of you in India and the people you meet. I thought it was so nice of your host to invite you to meet his family and it is amazing to see the children interact with each other. Sawyer is certainly in his element and Crusoe taking everything in his stride.
Thanks Lieuwina. Sawyer is LOVING it all. So is Crusoe. Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend.
I just loved the blending of families and cultures. What a special time!
Thanks Cynthia!!
For you, a return to another time in your life and the renewal of it all. For the boys, what an EDUCATION! To be with all those local family members and children must have been like a wild ride for them! How beautiful to see them play together! Will Crusoe and Sawyer remember this magical time in their young life!? Let’s hope! We do so deserve to give our kids that knowledge of cultures and different worlds. Do love it all! You make it look so exciting! I now want to travel to India! 🙏🏼💖🤩❤
Thanks Kathryn!
At least they'll have videos to remind them of it.
I am enjoying the India Trip videos. They are so well done and interesting. Loved the family visit❤
Thanks Joanne!
Exploring with children, they are the language, differences in nationalities, barriers that are broken very easily. Seeing the children playing with yours, Crusoe and Sawyer explained it all. Children have no barriers their innocence breaks all divisions. Wish it was like this over all. The Word of God says it clear, such is the KINGDOM of HEAVEN. Enjoying your trip and your safari brings so much back memories now shared by your new addition Sawyer. See you next Wednesday in Portugal.🌺🦋💖🥰🥰🥰🌍🌎🌏
We loved your comment Joanne. Children have no barriers and their innocence breaks all divisions. It was incredible to see our boys interact with all the other children there and having the best time too. Magical 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
@@TheNewbysExplore Indeed it brings so much JOY to see them playing together and Sawyer looking at his age counterpart Indian friend said it all, they just looked at each other with wonder.💖💖💖💖💖
I've said before how good it is to see the real India in your videos, this one took it to another level with all the people you met along the way. They were just regular folk (if you can say 'just' that makes them sound like not much, they were so friendly and welcoming and that's a lot). The 'Wattle and Daub' building materials were used in most of Europe until transport made cement more accessible. There are still stone buildings where it's used for internal walls and I know of cottages not much more than 100 years old that still have wattle and daub roofs.
Thanks Ruth! Pretty cool day. Thanks for watching friend. ❤️🙏
And the reason too is to cope up with external weather conditions
I have always said I would never travel to India, but I’m about to change my mind, thanks to you! It’s so beautiful and you meet the most sweet people 😊😊 You are the best travel ambassadors🤗🤗
You should visit!! Thanks Kristin! ❤️❤️🙏🙏

Hiya Newbys! Oh how beautiful to watch this. Seeing Crusoe and Sawyer playing with the children , this was very touching ,everyone so welcoming and friendly, really brought tears to my eyes. Thankyou for sharing this country with us all, I’m truly loving it xx❤️💙💙💙
We are so proud of our boys Sue. They have been amazing on this trip ❤️❤️
India is very sacred land. Its been called as "Land of liberation " by spiritual masters for ages. You will get the extraordinary experiences if you immerse yourself into rural spiritual India. It will touch you forever. You wont get these experiences in city lives as cities are similar everywhere in the world, fast paced, materialistic and self centered
Such an amazing day you had to visit in somebody else's home is such a gift. So grateful that you take us along with you blessings and love from New Mexico
Thanks Judie!! ❤️🙏❤️
Welcome to my country India.
Each episode is so unique and informative! Lol when Caruso slept through a whole village! I just adore both boys! ❤
Thanks Janet!! The boys are soaking it all up when they aren’t asleep! Great to watch!
Wow what an incredible experience this trip has been & the people are so warm & inviting how fun for your family !! Enjoy
Hi Dina!
Wasn’t it the most amazing experience to visit the family of someone you met! I had that most excellent opportunity in Bangladesh! My 2 most precious takeaway from that experience was 1) how awesomely they honor their elders and 2) how resourceful a family of 22 is while living in a 1 room (albeit large room) dwelling. I hope that the boys have this same opportunity again when they are older! Much love to you all!
Thanks Cathleen!! ❤️🙏
What amazing experiences you are all having! I was so touched by the moment when Sawyer and the other little boy were standing right in front of each other and made eye contact. I wonder how much detail they will remember about this trip. The videos will become treasured keepsakes for them as they grow older. John and Tara you are giving your sons the most precious of gifts! Lucky boys ❤
It has been an incredible experience so far Lauren! We wouldn’t change it for the world. That eye contact between the kids was so special. 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
All. kids are humans and they do not see colour or difference like adults do.
You have boys who are way ahead of other children that age. I watch channels from other countries and there is such a big difference in abilities of speaking, obedience, and just functioning.👍😄❤️
We hope so Anita! Thank you friend! ❤️❤️
How lovely to see the children playing together...as it should be.❤
We loved seeing our boys having so much fun friend 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼

🦋 Thank you so much for posting. This video was wonderful to see. I love the experience that you had at the home of the man who worked at the hotel you were staying at. Thanks so much for watching Lena 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
Hello Newbys! What an adventure for your family!! Precious memories ❤
Thanks Ann!!
What a wonderful adventure you are having!!! I had a similar experience as you had. We lived in San Diego, California while raising our children. Since we lived so close to Mexico we were able to vacation in places where our children had opportunities to play with the local children - successfully without sharing a common language! My favorite memory was visiting with a friend who worked in San Diego and lived in Tecate, Mexico. Jose invited our family for a visit to the home he had built to meet his wife and children. Although his house was modest, (Some Anglos would call it ramshackle.) Jose was so proud of it. Jose and his wife greeted us so warmly. The best part was how our children got to play with their children and kittens! Again, not sharing a common language! We were sent home with freshly homemade tortillas and the best memories. I can't wait to see your next amazing chapter! ❤ Prescott, AZ
Hi Francie! What a lovely story to remember friend. Thank you for sharing it. 🙏❤️
This is awesome. You should create a travel guide on all your travels especially since you are doing it as a family
Thanks for the suggestion friend! 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
I love living thru your adventures. The kids are so lucky.
Thanks so much for watching Michelle 😄🇮🇳❤️🙏🏼
Wow- what amazing experiences you’ve been having. Wonderful to see how the boys are taking it all in their stride. Glad you’re documenting this - whilst we can enjoy it now, the boys won’t remember it in years to come as they are so young so it’s great you’ll have the video evidence to replay for them in the future and for you keep and cherish the memories yourselves. Can’t wait for the next episode. Ps it will be interesting to hear what’s been the highlights AND the lowlights for yourselves on the trip (there’s bound to be both). I’m with you on the nervousness when abroad and taking in a ‘scheduled’ experience that it might be more staged than authentic but you have struck it lucky with some of yours. Cheers to you all.
Hi Maeve! Great to hear from you, thanks for watching friend. At the end of the series we will definitely put a video together a video with highs lows and thoughts. Should be in a few weeks time. 👍🙏❤️
