My own gang is made up of Jack Russells, but full respect for Golden Retrievers... I have always had a serious soft spot for them too!
We were pick nicking at a park next to a lake. My Golden was wondering around. Next we heard a lady yelling “bring back my shoe”. My Golden has found a prize and ran off with it. We finally got the shoe. The owner and us had a good laugh about it. My Golden was so proud of the treasure she had found.
That last point is true of ALL dogs.😁
Golden retrievers are ALWAYS happy, it doesn’t matter they’re doing. They’re always smiling and enjoying life.

Goldens are the most perpetually puppies of all the doggy breeds I think...like having a happy, annoying sibling that's so soft and always wants to share their insistent happiness (but not their toys...Even if they're yours!

These are all so true! Especially when it comes to carrying things around, stealing underwear or clothes. Our golden tends to want to help carry grocery bags and buckets aswell! 😂❤
People think these dogs are named for the color of their coat. That is incorrect. They're called "golden" retrievers because their hearts are made of gold.

I have a golden that lives about 8 houses up. The one day I noticed the cat toys started disappearing off of my porch? About a week later I noticed a couple of the toys were in his yard 😂

I've got a 1/2 golden, 1/2 collie who fits all these stats except "loves water". Mine is hydrophobic to the point that she will deliberately jump over a 1/4 inch puddle.

Love all doggos, but Retrievers are probs up there among my absolute favs. Others include Spaniels (their ears are the best) and Border Collies. 🙌
I guess because they are retriever, they have to have something in their mouth 😂

Funny story about me and my neighbours golden retrievers I was coming back home from the gas station with slurppies and our neighbours golden retrievers came running down the outside stairs of our apartment building and knocked me and the slurppies flying lol mom came running when she heard all the noise asking what happened she found me on the ground with slurppies all over me and our neighbours dogs all around me the neighbours bought new ones for mom and I mom and I got a good laugh over it I had to take a shower and throw my clothes in the laundry hahaha 😆
