It's hard to believe that it has been one year with our golden retriever Wrangler! He started as this cute puppy and turned into a funny dog! This pup was always into everything and developed a crazy obsession with bathtubs! He LOVES them! Of course, he went through his awkward stages, had some hilarious falls and managed to get himself into some sticky situations. There's never a dull moment with this golden boy.

I’m the proud owner of an 11 year old Golden and all Incan say is they are the best. One thing I’d really like to educate perspective dog owners who choose large breeds especially Golden Retrievers is DO NOT neuter or spay them before they are a year old. This breed is prone to hip issues and issues with the knees. They need the testosterone and estrogen for proper bone growth. Also over 50% of fixed Goldens will suffer from being over weight when they get older. Do your own research and ask your vet. I know some breeders demand you neuter or spay your dog because they don’t want you breeding yours and creating competition. If it’s a good breeder you can get a not from your vet. There are also many more health benefits by waiting. A year is a small amount of time compared to a lifetime of good health. Your puppers is cute beyond words many you enjoy many years of love and happiness.

Do goldens actually mellow out by 2-4 years or are they forever puppies? Heard different things lol 😅
@@savvystarfire6667 Mine just had his golden birthday yesterday. He was 11 years old on the 11th of April. They do mellow a little. Mine is still pretty active for being 11. They are mellow if you make sure they get enough physical exercise and mental stimulation. If they get bored they can be annoying. Mine use to never bark but about a year agoIp I guess he decided he didn’t like it when I was on the phone because I wasn’t giving him my full attention. So now the little stinker if I’m on the phone for more than 5 minutes he starts barking at me and gets pretty annoying lol. I use to raise miniature dachshunds if I would have known how awesome gold ends were I’d of got one 40 years sooner.

I have a 9 year old one and he is still a puppy. They are the most fun loving dogs I have ever had.
Golden Retrievers have to be the best dogs.
We don't have too much experience with other dogs but of all the ones we've ever been around for a long period of time, Goldens have absolutely been the best!

I have a 6 month old female Golden. Her behavior and appearance is very similar to Wrangler. She is so full of life, and happy all the time. Goldens are great dogs.

I lost my Golden/Corgi last November as well after 14 1/2yrs. Super grateful as well but I miss him sooooo much.

I’m 74 yrs old. Have been a dog owner all of my life of a variety of dogs. From Chesapeake Bay retriever to West Highland White terrier, cocker spaniel to poodle. My Golden is the absolute best dog I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning! I’ve had him just over a year, Tucker is the most affectionate, loving dog of my life. I wish you many years with yours!

Yeah, I agree I waited til after a year. Hunter is no longer with us but we loved every day with him. Best time of our lives. I'm thinking of rescuing very soon, Your pup is precious, brings back really great memories. Hugs and Kisses 🐕🐾💘👅

These two humans are going to make excellent parents if they ever have a human child. As a veterinarian, however, I hope that they do not repeat what I saw in practice over and over again: the Golden was a young couple's first "baby", only to be supplanted and relegated to the backyard chain after the human baby came along. You make an excellent point. We'll take this to heart and do our best to avoid it.
Thank you so much for reminding folks when you choose to bring an animal into your home it’s a life long commitment to that pet for the duration of its natural life. Pets aren’t something you can just lock outside or get rid of during rough periods and we’ve all had those. My dogs over the years have all lived 15 to 20 years I for the most part had Mini doxies. Now that I own a Golden I know that big dogs have a much shorter lifespan. My Golden will be 12 on April 11th. I know i most likely have a limited amount of time left so I’m going to love and cherish every single moment He chooses to bless me with. Dogs truly are man’s and Woman’s ha!ha! Best friend. My daughter had twins last June so mom left Michigan and drove to Oregon with the dog so I could help for a year. My Golden is so gentle and good with the boys. However, he is a dog and we never leave the babies unattended with him in the house. It’s not because we are worried he’ll harm them, we’re worried about him accidentally stepping on them. He’s almost 92 lbs. he’s not overweight just a big dog.
Exactly pets are not disposable they are family.

ive had two goldens the first i had eleven years and she rested after cancer. My current is an adopted breeder, after experiencing a golden in my life, i cant not have one......i love them more than humans.

I'm working away from my home and had a couple very stressful days at work. I watched this puppy. Within a few seconds I was laughing so hard. What a joyful little guy. Made my day. Praise the Lord for His beautiful creatures who bring us so much joy.

I have owned and bred Golden Retrievers for 38 years. NEVER spay or neuter your dog before 2 years is the advice from my vet. I have never had a dog with behavior issues that would make it necessary to neuter. Goldens are sweet and loving. Do not feed grain free dog food. Do not feed any food with "by-products" as an ingredient. I feed my Goldens Pure Balance Dog food from Walmart. LOVE your videos!!!

We have 7 weeks Golden right now. He keeps us busy between 3 of us we take turns taken care of him 24/7 like swing shifts. Yes they're beautiful and adorable but caring for them is HARD WORK. I'm feeling now lol.

Kion has come to our family, my son gave him that name because he is a fan of the lion guard and he looks a lot like a lion puppy, he is 60 days old and he is a boy scout, he eats plants, digs the soil of the flower pots, stirs and bites everything in his path. He is really beautiful, affectionate and enjoys being the center of attention in the house. I really liked your dog's food jar with a maze for him to entertain himself while he eats, congratulations for your beautiful golden.

It’s kind of sad but a heartwarming story. My Dad suffered a massive heart attack sat in his chair holding his 9 month Golden Lab, unfortunately he never made it and his buddy sat by his side until the paramedics took him. Such a loyal and caring breed, I’ve rescued 2 dogs but I’m afraid I’m about tomorrow sneak in a golden next time. My Dad loved the breed always told me they were the best decision he ever made.
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad! I agree though, goldens are truly the best dogs! If you get one, you will not regret it.
My dog is 11 now n looks exactly like yr dog, had 2 knee ops, slowing down now, used to climb beds n throw pillows around when younger, still has puppy behaviour, loves food, very loving breed, enjoy yr time with yr playful pet. From Australia
