There was no main series published in 2020, and even though BDSP was released in Winter 2021, it was developed by ILCA and not Gamefreak so that is 2 full gap years. If Legends Z-A releases in Q1 2025, then they are following the same release cycle as before and we are just as likely to get a buggy mess. Hopefully I am wrong.

I def did not expect we’d revisit Kalos before Unova, but I really don’t mind. This region has so much unexplored lore and cut content from the original games, it def has been done the dirtiest of every region. I also like how it appears to be set in a different time period than Arceus.

I think the other trick is Unova and gen 5 has become a cult classic in the fandom. After they botched the Diamond and Pearl remakes I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and give the development team more time.

Yeah I think the reason comes down to the fact the 2 unova games cover a lot and still look good to this day with minimum issues while kalos always felt like it was lacking in multiple areas as the first game on the 3ds with a lot of cut content aswell

I’m looking forward to revisiting the Kalos region again, whether it be ancient Kalos or something from the Victorian era when lumiose city was first under construction. There’s a perfect opportunity to incorporate the great Pokemon war from 3,000 years ago

Legends Areceus also released "next year". In January. Which considering they must release gen 10 in 2025, ZA is likely also a January release so that it doesn't compete with Gen 10 sales in November

@@_d.ot.t_ Pokemon games do not make enough money to justify pushing back a generation by a year. I would be shocked if they did. That being said, they have only announced 2 games this generation... os maybe? But yeah gens comes out every 3 years since gen 5. 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022 and next one would be 2025. But yeah, starting Gen 8 they have been doing some sweeping changes for the better. So who knows, maybe Gen 10 won't actually come out in November 2025 (But again, due to the fact the games are such a tiny insignificant amount of their income, I would be surprised if they chose to delay it) And while them not having announced what the 3 game of this generation is, is very shocking. It may simply be that Nintendo doesn't allow them to talk about it, because it is heading to the next console which is rumored to be coming out next year. We'll just have to wait and see

If anyone is curious, at 0:10 in, it spells "EKOPEONS PETRNSM" which translates to "Pokemon Presents" when you unscramble it (you have to take letters from each word mix and swap it around with the other). And at 10:30 it spells "SOEYUE" which translates to "See You"

I wish I could give it the love everyone else seems to give it. I just can't. With it being one of the most hand holding games, having the most insufferable rivals you could ever ask for, Horrific pacing when it comes to Gym's, ect. Oh yeah, a real jem of a region.

X and Y i'd say weren't the best games, but they were a pretty exciting time with the jump to 3D and the new type, and i feel like i can excuse a lot of its problems due to that, so i look back on it a lot mord fondly than gen 7 and beyond. I'm excited to see another legends game in general though!

We don't know that. PLA released in 2022, so Legends Z being 2025 would be three years, which follows their standard pattern. They have also likely been working on gen 10 since before SV came out.

X and Y got me back into pokemon again after not playing gen 4 and 5, so getting a Legends game based on the game that revitalized my love of pokemon from back when i played the original Red when it was new, really makes me excited! I really hope the idea is that EVERYTHING you do in this game will add something new to an ever expanding city, making you wanna go back and see what changed every time you complete a quest or milestone...

Occasionally, not always, but occasionally, Gamefreak does think about competitive players That being said, Legends Arceus didn't have PvP so I'm guessing Legends ZA also won't, therefore balance isn't a factor we need to care about for it. I'm excited to see Mega evolution's incredible designs and lore return in a game where there's no consequences for Kangaskhan and Salamence outclassing everyone else

That’s just speculation from people who don’t have any information. There’s no way they saw the success of having all of Sinnoh and would downsize to just Lumiose. And even if they did for some reason, I’d imagine it would be much larger than what we got in x and y.

Why would you even believe that? One, more than likely nobody has that information and even if they did, they'd be risking breaking some contract talking about the game. Two, if it took place only in the city, it would be boring. Gamefreak knows that. They know players like exploring catching pokemon. They've also been experimenting more and more with the open world concept. Why would they all of a sudden lock the players to one city? That makes no sense

@djdragondrawer9339 yes and no. The babies damage went from 50% to 25% of momma damage. That turns kos into 2-3 kos now and it's like mandatory to use power up punch and need that +1/2 to get the kos now, whereas you didn't initially and that +2 before nerf meant auto win

I'm actually really excited to be going back to Kalos, it feels like we didn't really get enough when the main games released. I also am excited that they are taking a full year to focus on the game- hopefully that gives us some big improvements, and helps them better iron out their formula before they redo Black and White. I think the year wait is probably also partially since the Switch is 7 years old now, does not get many 1st party games anymore (as evidenced by the partner showcase instead of normal direct) and is likely to be replaced soon (simply because it's too old now). My guess is that it'll likely be the first Pokémon game on the next console. Could of course be wrong though.

This has the potential to explore more interesting aspects of Kalos, which is a less appreciated part of the series. And hey, Megas are back. What throws me is this looks like it's a redesign of 'present day' Lumiose, based on the architecture. If it's set in current day, how is it a legend? I'm not opposed, Gen 6 was very solid and I miss megas, I'm just not sure I get how it will fit in with Legends Arceus if it's not set in the past.

I am still waiting 14 years for my unova remakes. They should’ve done that because In order that’s the next one to be remade.

Remakes come every other Gen, so Gen 5 remakes will be in Gen 10 following that trend.

There was no main series published in 2020, and even though BDSP was released in Winter 2021, it was developed by ILCA and not Gamefreak so that is 2 full gap years. If Legends Z-A releases in Q1 2025, then they are following the same release cycle as before and we are just as likely to get a buggy mess. Hopefully I am wrong.

I def did not expect we’d revisit Kalos before Unova, but I really don’t mind. This region has so much unexplored lore and cut content from the original games, it def has been done the dirtiest of every region. I also like how it appears to be set in a different time period than Arceus.
I think the other trick is Unova and gen 5 has become a cult classic in the fandom. After they botched the Diamond and Pearl remakes I wouldn’t be surprised if they try and give the development team more time.
Yeah I think the reason comes down to the fact the 2 unova games cover a lot and still look good to this day with minimum issues while kalos always felt like it was lacking in multiple areas as the first game on the 3ds with a lot of cut content aswell

That being said, they have only announced 2 games this generation... os maybe? But yeah gens comes out every 3 years since gen 5. 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022 and next one would be 2025. But yeah, starting Gen 8 they have been doing some sweeping changes for the better. So who knows, maybe Gen 10 won't actually come out in November 2025 (But again, due to the fact the games are such a tiny insignificant amount of their income, I would be surprised if they chose to delay it) And while them not having announced what the 3 game of this generation is, is very shocking. This works out for the best because GF can have extra time to develop a game, and then release a new main series game the following year on their 30th anniversary in 2026. Likely intentional to draw more hype for a big anniversary.

I'm excited to see Mega evolution's incredible designs and lore return in a game where there's no consequences for Kangaskhan and Salamence outclassing everyone else

That’s just speculation from people who don’t have any information. There’s no way they saw the success of having all of Sinnoh and would downsize to just Lumiose. And even if they did for some reason, I’d imagine it would be much larger than what we got in x and y.
Why would you even believe that? One, more than likely nobody has that information and even if they did, they'd be risking breaking some contract talking about the game. Two, if it took place only in the city, it would be boring. Gamefreak knows that. They know players like exploring catching pokemon. They've also been experimenting more and more with the open world concept. Why would they all of a sudden lock the players to one city? That makes no sense

I'm actually really excited to be going back to Kalos, it feels like we didn't really get enough when the main games released. I also am excited that they are taking a full year to focus on the game- hopefully that gives us some big improvements, and helps them better iron out their formula before they redo Black and White. Also, the MEGA EVOLUTION SYMBOL AT THE END MADE ME SCREAM YES PLEASE
I think the year wait is probably also partially since the Switch is 7 years old now, does not get many 1st party games anymore (as evidenced by the partner showcase instead of normal direct) and is likely to be replaced soon (simply because it's too old now). My guess is that it'll likely be the first Pokémon game on the next console. Could of course be wrong though.

All right a new Legends game! I can’t wait to see more! I was kinda hoping for a Legends Celebi that would take place in Johto’s past and show us how the legendary beasts were born, but this looks cool too. Since it’s an urban redevelopment plan I’m hoping for a city builder using Pokémon.
Arceus Legends was an experience for me. I’m so glad they’re continuing the series! Excited for Megas making a comeback!

Yes we did! I love the dynamax mechanic (haven't played Scarlet/Violet since didn't know if it was bug free yet .-.) but the mega evolutions were by far the best, especially aesthetically

I'm sure people are gonna be annoyed they didn't theme a legends game around a more popular region, but honestly, this might be a good chance to go in depth with the Pokemon war that killed AZ's Floette. This has the potential to explore more interesting aspects of Kalos, which is a less appreciated part of the series. And hey, Megas are back. I really hope the boutique returns, easily the best character customisation in the series.

I knew it was going to be another Pokemon Legends game. The hint was the Unknowns. If you played Legends of Arecus, you remember the unknowns readings you have to solve mysteries to get certain pokemon.
Legend Arceus is boring shit. No battles with trainers, no gym battles. Just a stupid game. Atleast i will not spend my money on another shit.

What throws me is this looks like it's a redesign of 'present day' Lumiose, based on the architecture. If it's set in current day, how is it a legend? I'm not opposed, Gen 6 was very solid and I miss megas, I'm just not sure I get how it will fit in with Legends Arceus if it's not set in the past.

Pokemon X was my very first pokemon game, and I'm so happy Kalos is coming back next year for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, I can't wait to find out more about it along with seeing the return of the iconic mega evolutions!
Honestly, a Pokémon Z is 11 years overdue, and I’m hyped. Gen 5 didn’t need to be expanded on like Gen 6 did.

Me feeling like AZ holding Floette like it's been 3000 years since we first thought we'd get Pokemon Z. This was a surprise but a welcome one!
Bruh, they did us dirty with all the BGM from Gold/Silver. Was hoping all the hints were leading to a G/S announcement. Super excited for Z to finally be real and not just scrapped into Sun/Moon.

It's not all bad. There's still HeartGold/SoulSilver. Plenty of replay value in those Johto remakes.
The mobile game ain't crap. They actually provide more info of the characters throughout the region as well. Not to mention that a certain character would make their debut in the game too that being Volo.
