  • I don't care how people may think about it, hooking plastic is still pretty impressive.

    • In my Sunday night league on old wood with left over oil from the league before my league and I have a sanded plastic ball I throw A LOT it is the Geico viz-a-ball that you would see on TV when the original inferno came out all blue with the black Gecko foot prints . I cashed in Vegas with it and I impressed ej tackett and Marshal Kent with me throwing it. And my dad heard Marshal reply to a guy saying who is that and Marshal said my name and they both said they haven't seen anyone hook a plastic ball like me before. And I am still using that ball now. And it is going to Vegas this year

    • Anyone can hook a palatic ball playing straight up 5. Hook it 25 to 5 and back, that's impressive.

    • What's more impressive than Justin being able to hook with plastic is his ability to hook it at the speed he is throwing. Nicely done!

  • As a 73 year old long time bowler of one hand, I plan to switch to 2 hands this summer with the hope of bowling 2-handed in league next fall. After watching Parker bowl the tour all those years, I never knew he was so funny. I mean really humorous! 😂 This is an awesome video. Justin bowled really well for throwing plastic. I hope Parker recovered quickly.

  • I started taking bowling seriously back in 1995 at the age of 19. Back then when I first started I was using the old 2 finger method that's what we called it back then not 2 handed. It was easier to turn the ball up with revs using only 2 fingers vs a traditional 2 finger-thumb style. People pushed me away from using 2 fingers and 2 hands is my point. People told me that is not bowling people told me to stop and practice my 3 finger handed traditional style. Still to this day, I use a one-handed 3 three-finger style. At one point in my life, I was a scratch player bowled 5 nights a week league. I am from Battlecreek Michigan I feel I grew up and learned in one of the greatest bowling towns in Michigan. Parker 3, I got the chance to meet you once at M66 in Battlecreek one night you subbed in on the Scratch league. My buddy's dad shot 300 on ya! Parker 3 you are one of my favorite pros from back in my bowling prime of the 90s you and Walter Ray. Oh yea I loved ya in Kingpin!

These guys were built different. 2 handed bowling made it easy for everyone to score.

  • Where are all the people who say "Two handed bowling is so easy, learn to throw it with one hand?" I literally tell people every day that if you see a 2-hander... Chances are they started One Handed and they can crush you with either style. Had some guy after league pot bowl me for $100 a game, I grabbed a house ball off the rack and threw it one handed for 3 games and beat him all three lol. I didn't take his money, I just told him that he should respect the choice of style because Bowling is Bowling.

  • I used to bowl a lot up until about 28 years ago. Gotta say the only time I saw someone bowling two handed back then was when little kids bowled, because they couldn't hold the weight of a six-pound ball. Not sure when this became a thing. I guess the reason is to get more spin on the ball? I used to get plenty of spin one-handed. Is there that much more oil on the lanes now?

    @r.s.5431@r.s.54312 ай бұрын
    • I'd say it's just an evolution of the cranker style, and the two players who popularised it - Jason Belmonte and Osku Palermaa - did indeed need to use both hands as kids; except that they never stopped doing so even as they got older, and this style just developed naturally as a result. Players like EJ Tackett continue to show that you can still generate similar revs with one hand, but it's generally still a lot easier to achieve higher rev rates with two hands. Combined with Belmonte's incredible success as a pro, and it's no surprise that the style is so much more popular these days.

And I moved to Storm Bowling & 900 Global 4 years ago after leaving Team Brunswick back in early 2020 from my long history with your company since 1998.
