10w60 takes bit longer to warm up actually find it saps bit of power. I'd run slightly thinner 10w50 generally better for most owners as it warms up faster and gets to where it's needed faster
I don't see how oil grade would make any difference to how fast it warms up. Also, when the engine's cold, it won't get around any faster as the the w rating is the same 10w.

@1muk He did not give it away he did not sell enough tickets so the person got £30.000 instead, He will of put it back though co part as saves hassle selling it privately
Namz - how do you log our entries and what happens if not enough sold. Your falling in the same trap again of not explaining clearly
All sales will be exported on a CSV with entry numbers, we will then use google number generator to select a winner. Every competition is the same they have a reserve and this comp needs to secure £20k for vehicle to be released any less then again it will be 60% cash prize value for winner

6-7 hours labours for a expert garage to change rod bearings is sounding kinda crazy

10W60 oil is incredibly stupid...5W30 helps...and I could care less what BMW says, they've plenty of dumb moves with their engines
