That was the funniest part for me, if they’d easily remained in character I would’ve thought it the skit was was silly but not particularly funny since it’s just the same gag over and over. Don’t know how they held it together so well! When my sisters and I got a case of the giggles at the dinner table, we’d usually lose it. • @@IronPsyde lol I was wondering the same thing. Honestly, it seems like a generational thing. I assume this person is older because...have you watched those 80s/90s episodes lately? Of course there is gold there, but on the whole, you can see just HOW MUCH comedy has progressed. Once in a while, it's great to have a stupid sketch where the entire concept is low effort "funny voice" comedy. But it only works these days because it stands out against *better*, more interesting and complex comedy. Half of the funniness is waiting for some explanation or punchline, and finding none. It's an anti-joke, because the lack of punchline or context or greater point just never shows up. And that's funny. But back then, when it was all, "IM GAY, LISTEN TO MY FUNNY VOICE" or anything of the sort and there was no expectation that there was anything else behind it...its fuckin tedious and boring
