  • The fact that Mark was able to defend that first shot by Alex is insane

    • You do not seem to understand Marinelli is very predictable. As good as he is That prevented him from winning a national championship. Joseph throwing him to his back, losing every year at nationals he is just to predictable. And the Penn State wrestlers just overpowered there opponents.

      @dohcsmr1175@dohcsmr11753 жыл бұрын
    • Dohc SMR you don’t seem to understand that Marinelli’s predictability is irrelevant to the comment. The shot was deep enough to finish almost everyone...Hall’s strength and defense were tremendous. The comment is about one shot in one match not about Alex’s general wrestling strategy

  • Incredible wrestling. Turning into him off the optional start to end up with a reversal plus a bunch of back points was such a gangster move. Just shows the Gable way still works: attack, attack, attack. Especially when your opponent isn't expecting it.

    • Its kinds wierd how gable was attack and aggressive, but today iowa very defensive style.

      @atmosrepair@atmosrepair3 жыл бұрын
    • Not really the Gable way...Gable go that from the Okie State legends...but he sure took advantage of it.

      @scourge8097@scourge80972 жыл бұрын
    • @@atmosrepair I think there's two reasons for this. 1-They LOOK less aggressive when compared to PSU 2-They're also coming off an era in which they had a Sr(or Super Sr) class with guys who didn't have elite offense. You still see it, they're just not the best anymore...so the Spencer Lee types, the McDonough(spelled that wrong, but, whatever) types, Metcalf...they still attacked. I think Cass attacks, I think Ayala will be that type of Wrestler...but they'll still run into PSU and they're the team that attacks MORE...which, when Gable was there, NOBODY attacked more. That's the biggest difference IMO.

    • @@ian3383 No Sir. Marinelli got manhandled. Hall put him on his back 3 times. Marinelli needs to work on his strength. He is just.......in need of strength training. To get turked, spladled and cradled in one match is just........weak.

  • Alex isn't used to getting dominated like that. He can't bully Mark like he can most guys. To be fair, Mark is a few weight classes up from Alex these days
