Billy Connolly - Two Scottish Stand Up Comedians Walk Into A Talkshow - 4.5/5 Visits In Chron. Order

2017 ж. 20 Там.
2 295 436 Рет қаралды

4 and a half Appearances out of five of Billy Connolly on the late late show with Craig Ferguson in chronological order. (in the beginning in the video, it reads 5/5 appearances, which is not entirely correct, it's 4.5/5)
The title should tell you how I feel about these two. Enjoy!

    • I hadn't heard he was sick which is very sad. I saw him live while I was recovering from a bad traffic accident. He starts off slow, but by the end he brings all the threads together, and my jaws literally hurt from laughing so hard, as did the rest of the audience. I almost wanted it to end I was in so much pain, but it felt good to laugh like that after so many months of recovery. Best wishes Billy!

    • Craig Ferguson is the ONLY talk show I would watch for himself...didn't matter who he had on. Brilliant, genuine, funny, smart. Every other show I had to see who was on and IF it was worth it. Sometimes you like the guest but you know the host is just gonna be horrible so I don't bother, but not with Craig.

  • Billy is hands down the greatest stand up, observational comedian of all time. (The keyboards are on fire). He tells true stories that diverge into mutliple other true stories but all link back to the original story. I recommend everyone checks out his material from the early years to the sober yerars LOL! 1 of my many faourites is the story about moving to Beverly Hills and going up the hill to go home and seeing a guy carrying a crucifix. Just thinking about it I'm in tears! His story about learning the banjo in Scotland will have you in stitches. I could go and on. Hi s appearances on tv chat shows were always anarchic much more so than this. The "Not The Nine O'Clock News" sketch where he met his wife Pam is pure comedy gold.

Both served in WWII and just feel like I missed so much of the story concerning my family due to the distance in miles and just the day to day responsibilities over the years.

    • Carson played it safe. Even his improvs were planned and scripted. Letterman was somewhat looser but still played the role of the cynical curmudgeon. Paul had the quicker wit but toned it down to keep his job. BC is a true comedic savant. His intuitive understanding that comedy and tragedy are different sides of the same coin is unsurpassed. His only peers are Craig and Robin Williams.

Aside from both turning their shows into pro-democrat-liberal-socialist agenda forums, neither Fallon or Kimmel are particularly entertaining. Odd those two morons are still on TV, but this superbly talented and intelligent man is not. WHY? I think Craig didn't abide by Hollywood rules ...
