I remember how surreal all that was, and how surreal it is to imagine that someone born on the same town as me could be that big

    • Nobody is more entertaining than him. The absolute gladiator and the people’s champ, fell down and always got back up. Anyone who has seen failure in their life will definitely respect his grind. It’s inspirational, mcgregor and jones got me into MMA but Do Bronx made me fall in love with it.

  • Win, lose, or draw, all of his fights are bangers. Champion or not, I can't want anything more as a fan of combat sports. He's extremely skilled and entertaining in the cage, so I will always look forward to his fights. Do Bronxs is must-see TV every single time!

  • Fantastic video! This guy is the champ with or without the belt. He is many people's favourite fighter of all time, not just because of the way he fights but because of who he is. Coming from absolute poverty, dealing with health issues, imposter syndrome, and being labeled a quitter when he went through more obstacles than anyone else in the MMA world. He spat in their face and showed them what he's truly made of. One thing the video failed to highlight was his move to chute boxe. There, they psychologically changed him. He had believed the quitter accusations, until he joined a new gym where he was treated like a champion. They gave him the confidence and positive reinforcement that he needed.

  • Love this man, I started watching UFC just because of Charles. Wish him all the best always, he’s proof that losses doesn’t mean you can’t improve or figure a way to reach the top! Hard work always pays off and I’m glad he can provide for his family. Also he’s so respectful and didn’t need to trash talk or use the media in order to get a title shot like many other fighters. He’s the only fighter I’ve ever started tearing up watching get the belt. When he was running around going nuts it was hard not to get choked up! He’s the peoples champ with or without the belt 100%

  • This is what i love about mma. Unlike boxing where you loose a few and ya done....in mma you can claw your way back if you work hard enough. Olivera is a testimate to that. His record looks spotty but he became champ and was dominant in his time. Im keen to see his next fight for sure

    • I've been a boxing fan my whole life dude and yes it has happened but not to the extent of MMA. Boxing tends to glorify undefeated or almost undefeated fighters get the big $$$. MMA I tend to see it more way more where a fighter on a bad skid changes something in their game and is a contender again. You don't see that much in boxing. The skill gaps tend to be huge between fighters where MMA I find it to be a much more competitive sport. But that's me

Shit gives me chills and makes me feel like I can run through walls, his English is starting to get there and 1000% once he speaks good English, if you thought he was a star now just wait. I've watched the couple of podcasts he's been on and once he can tell the stories of his life and with his humour to English speaking audiences his career shoots off to the moon

  • A spectacular narrative. An excellent chronological story of a champion. I should add that Oliveira was recovering from a neck injury when he went to fight Holloway. And during the fight, he felt the injury in his neck again, which is why he withdrew from the fight. This injury almost took him out of MMA.
