Hi, I´m Aurikatariina and I clean my follower´s homes for free!
Scrub Daddy sponsored me so I could go to help one of my followers in Switzerland. They sponsored me and my boyfriend plain tickets and hotels, so a BIG thank you for them! On this video I show you how I cleaned a super filthy home. A long edit! This young girl asked for my help because she had depression and financial problems. The cleaning would have cost her 15 000 dollars, but I did it for free! I helped her and cleaned her home with my boyfriend Sami! Home makeover with satisfying results! Cleaning tips and hacks. Kitchen cleaning, sink cleaning, stove cleaning, Livingroom cleaning, cleaning transformations. Before and after!

  • In this video I will tell a story about my follower. Not the same person who lived in this aparment, but from my previous cleaning project. I still keep in touch them and they answered my questions what is to live in apartment like this. Hope you like it! 🤩

    • Thank you for helping people. when I was younger my mom's depression made are home look like this. I was to young to help and I had no one to help me. Things to do videos like yours I learned how to clean and my house may not be the cleanest but it's livable now. Unfortunately my mom is abusive, so I ended up in a homeless shelter for 6 months but I had to return and I had to start all over again on the cleaning. your videos helped to give me the motivation to do so. I'll be getting out of here in a few months but until then I will live in a semi clean space.

    • You did an amazing job cleaning. Even when there are dirty spots left on the floors. But i hope the home owner will continue to clean the rest and keep it clean and tidy. I have a suggestion, why you don't use a plastic broom to scrap the floors instead of a mop. Trust me it will help you a lot. You have to buy one.

    • If you aren’t able to take care of your living space, giving the cat to a family member is the best thing you can do for it, until you can take it back. Cats naturally get into things and eat stuff that they shouldn’t. That’s why to own a cat, you should have a clean environment for them to live to ensure they don’t get into anything and eat anything that could hurt them. You come first but your animal is also as really important! Remember, animals have feelings too and cats like to be clean! I’m so glad you have gotten better and I hope you improve and grow! Nobody seem to truly understand the struggle I go through minute by minute, hour to hour. I finally starting to clean little by little one room at time. It can be daunting at times. So much so that I have set backs. I keep trying. I hope to see my home back to normal eventually. I’ve also gotten the “Oh, I thought you were just lazy” comment. • My parents divorced when i was 19. Daddy was the one who cooked and did a deep cleaning every Sunday. He also cleaned all week.. never dirty dishes or trash. I moved out at 18, not realizing how deeply depressed he was becoming. He always put on a " happy face." I showed up at the home i grew up in & was mind blown by the hoarding & the mess was unbelievable. So I just started cleaning. It took a few days ( i had to work & still attend to my home and animals). i started in the kitchen; then bathroom, so on & so forth. Threw out everything molded.. but replaced it all. Fast forward a year & it was 10 times worse. I was actually very upset. But never said a word & cleaned again. He wouldn't let me go over.. I knew why. Then dad's home caught on fire. Thank goodness for insurance. He rebuilt. He has his home; a whole new layout, all new items & I'm going to sound like a horrible daughter. I'm glad it happened in a way. It was so far gone from filth. Im beyond grateful he made it out with his dog. He finally, for the first time in 20 years, looked forward to something..i helped decorate his home & he's so proud of his clean home. He isn't in the best of health. So I've always worried he would get sick & no one could get to him. On march 22nd, 2021, his home burned down. On March 21st 2022, my daddy was declared gone for 19 minutes. This man came back. His outblook on life is spectacular now. It all started from depression, and men didn't get help. Not like they should. He doesn't do strenuous stuff. My husband and i do all that. Please be kind... you never know. This could be you or a loved one. Sorry for the long post. Auri just reminds me never to give up on those struggling. Much love to all! Tami

  • That story was so sad and touched me like no other....nobody cared to check up on her, she didn’t have friends, she stopped caring about her home and herself but was also jealous of how others had clean houses....I feel like I don’t care a lot too, but then I care too much and I start feeling overwhelmed, like a panic attack sets in and I either DO IT, or sit down and fall asleep. Sometimes I do one or two things, then feel like I just did massive amounts of work. The only reason my home hasn’t gotten this bad is because I do have support, my mom would whoop my butt and take my kids...and my hubby lives here too and wouldn’t let it get this bad.

There's NO FUMES! I recently took over an apartment that had so much cooking oil on every surface and the owner smoked for 20+ years inside. Everything was yellow and thick and sticky and dusty. I did her method by spraying the easy off and covering with plastic wrap. Within 5 minutes I could wipe it away with the soft side of my scrub mommy. NO SCRUBBING! • I think the really hard part is just getting started. When you see so much in front of you, it seems very daunting to even know where to start. I think just starting in a small area and doing that bit and then seeing the result of how clean a small portion of the room can look gets you motivated to keep going. Even if it's bit by bit. You and your boyfriend did a remarkable job. Congratulations.

    • A symptom of anxiety (goes hand in hand with depression a lot of the the time) is difficulty making decisions, like for example what you need to do first. That makes it really easy to get overwhelmed. And of course depression makes it harder to get started doing something.

    • I feel like the best place to start is the kitchen and esp the sink area because you need to make clean and easy access to water where you can wash drain and rinse your cloth and place your cleaning supplies. It also helps to clean where you’ll eat before anything else.

    • Yup! I have depression and when i get the energy to clean i start with picking up all trash and dirty clothes (as that is what my mess mainly is) I then make my bed. After that i put anything on my floor ontop of my bed, so that i can vacuum. After i vacuum I start organizing the things i placed on my bed. It makes things much more simpler when i do it that way

    • @@k.yleenicole That's great. Congratulations. That's a good system. It is really hard if you are feeling awful and have no motivation but just want to stay on the couch and watch TV or just lay in bed rather than face the day. Getting the energy to get off your bum and just get something done, especially if you have such a huge mess in front of you, is so hard. I know that for a fact because of my own problems. But I found that if you don't let it get too out of hand, you can keep the place relatively tidy even if isn't spotless. It's taken me weeks to even get the energy to dust our place. Unless you've been there, you just can't even begin to understand how you let things go like that.

I was able to clean my entire oven with the Scrub Kitty face - it was a great experience and I was inspired by Auri's channel to just DO IT and not be intimidated by cleaning. Just used soap/water to get the basic stuff, and some Pink Stuff paste to get the more difficult stains. • It is so underrated to let water and dish-soap do the work for you. I keep preaching to my kids "work smart, not hard" so they understand what a difference a little prep work does for most projects. When you're tidying up I recommend you have one table/place where you put all the things that need to be put away instead of putting all the things away individually as you find them. It is much easier to gather up form the table all the things that should go back to the bathroom or kitchen instead of having to make 15 different trips with single items.

    • Have you read Marie Kondo's first book? A lot of people think it's about just keeping what sparks joy and throwing everything away, but I find it to be so much more than that. For example she says every item has a purpose in someone's life. She then tells you to ask yourself whether something sparks joy and if not, that said purpose has been served so that you can let go if it more easily. In this case: your mother's items have served their purpose when your mother bought them, either because they sparked joy the moment she bought them or they sparked joy the time she got to enjoy them. I find it difficult to explain things in English, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say and that it maybe helps you discarding her clutter - knowing that they have served their purpose.❤️ I wish you all the best getting her home in a good shape and giving her loss a place in your heart❤️
