Thank you all for watching and listening to my story. I feel very grateful and lucky to have had the resources and family support to be able to deal with this as quickly as I did. I wanted to make this video to share more info and a few resources below to turn to if you have gone or are going through something similar.
RESOURCES:
★Get Regular Check-ups.
Routine visits with a health care provider are an important part of taking care of our health.
★Check with your local Planned Parenthood health center about the services they offer at www.plannedparenthood.org/hea....
★Learn About the Stroke Warning Signs and Symptoms.
Use the letters in F.A.S.T to spot a stroke:
F = Face Drooping - Does one side of the face droop or is it numb? Ask the person to smile. Is the person's smile uneven?
A = Arm Weakness - Is one arm weak or numb? Ask the person to raise both arms. Does one arm drift downward?
S = Speech Difficulty - Is speech slurred?
T = Time to call 911
★Learn more about stroke awareness, cardiovascular health and things to look out for - like PFOs - at heart.org. If your current healthcare provider is not familiar with PFOs and how they can relate to strokes, try reaching out to your local university hospital for more info.
★Join the Movement to Make Health Care Accessible for Everyone.
50% of people across the globe lack access to essential health care. Partners in Health works to provide high quality health care to those who need it most.
Get involved at www.pih.org/get-involved.
★Health Scares Can Feel Lonely. Reach Out if You or a Loved One Are Struggling.
If you or someone you know needs help, contact the NAMI HelpLine
1-800-950-NAMI (6264)
Mon-Fri from 10am-10pm ET.

  • As a doctor, she's done a phenomenal job of explaining the science behind this, some complex things she's translated really well. She must had a great team of medical professionals behind her. Glad you had a happy ending.

I was trying to point out the probable reason she got care and information as good as this and that most medical experiences aren’t this great, so the fact that hers was is so comforting to see. Normally these situations go south. But she’s come out the other side better off and healthier and with all her answers. It’s amazing.

There’s a “What’s in my bag” video of her from years ago and she had a medical terminology book inside her purse that she’s was studying/carrying around. And from Justin Bieber docu series she seemed very well educated on his Lyme’s disease.

  • Never judge anyone based on what most people say. I clicked this video out of curiosity and man.... I didn't expect the medical discussion! As a medical student myself, honestly Hailey is a natural learner for being so present throughout from the moment she felt the symptoms to seeking treatment for it. The way she discusses a case in an effective manner is just admirable. She'd be a really good medical personnel or anything she puts her mind to because of her awareness and consciousness. May God bless you!

    • Agreed! It took years to get a good doctor to sit down and go through my medical history to find I had an auto immune disease. I actually had to travel to the Mayo Clinic because the doctors in my area kept pushing medication and different treatments on me instead of looking for the problem. I was lucky that my mom had a good job and I was not off her insurance yet back then. This is why you always get more than one opinion. Unfortunately there are a lot of doctors/NP who are not passionate about their job and will dismiss anything and everything. Especially doctors who take bad health insurance.

    • It took me years that doctors finally found a brain tumor causing my vertigo. All these years I went to the ENT doctors and they prescribed me some medicine, said they couldn’t find anything and sent me home. All they had to do was to ask for a contrast MRI for my brain. Thankfully, at some point, following my instincts, I saw a neurologist, she right away asked an MRI, found a chestnut-size tumor that had to be removed asap. I got my surgery and recovered well. But, it could have been deadly. This video made me think my experience. If I were Hailey, the doctors would go all the way to elaminate everything to find the root cause of my vertigo. I wish everyone had the same opportunities as her. I mean I am not asking for Bentleys or private jets but receiving a qualitiy medical care shouldn’t be that hard in our time. This is so sad :(

  • People without health issues really take for granted being healthy. When you have medical health issues moments that normal people consider "Boring" turn into something "peaceful". I have migraines too and they are the scariest thing to deal with and as soon as you feel the FAINTEST symptom it gives anxiety that it's going to be a full blown migraine with blind spots, nausea, extreme pain, and that weird thing when your brain flashes through random pictures when you close your eyes during a migraine episode. It's always so hard to explain this to people so thanks for sharing, it helps knowing other young people also know that feel. I hope you can appreciate your peace.

    • Yes you are right! I’ve been serious sick for the past 10 years. I am bed ridden and can’t work. I’ve lost everything in my life and have nothing. The sad thing is the medical debt I have incurred is insane. I will never be able to pay it off. I can’t even afford food or basics like soap, etc. I sympathize with her. I’ve gone to the ER many times and it’s ended in emergency surgeries. It’s so scary. I can’t believe how scary it must have been for her. I was adamant on not using birth control and I also have terrible daily migraines. I was able to hold off until 35 but then had an endometriosis diagnosis and was told to go on bc to help. I don’t do well with hormones and don’t like to mess with nature so I tried the copper t which was the worst thing ever. I just never stopped bleeding and had no pain relief. I switched to the mirena and it’s been amazing so it’s about finding what works for you. She’s lucky she can afford the best treatment. It’s very hard when you can’t afford to get well- I live this every day and feel I’d be better off dead.

I am so proud of you that you got through the procedures and tests. It seems as though you had really exceptional medical care. I'm so glad you're at the other end of this! And good for you that you explained this so chicks on the Pill with migraines know to share this info with their doctors.
