the numbers at liverpool aren’t that important it’s not like other clubs, if a player wants a lower/better number and they ask they normally get it like gomez wasn’t a starter but they gave him the number 2 when they could’ve given it to a starter. In the same way there’s players who are content with higher numbers like trent, matip, robertson. The option was there for them to become a 6, 2 or 3 but they decided not to

Number 8 a very special shirt because of Gerrard. Fact! Kieta was a joke and disgrace to the shirt. Hopefully Dom will do the shirt justice in years to come. Not firing on all cylinders yet but hopeful that Amorim will work miracles with him and others to make us a real threat again. It is fine saying he wants to win everything ( start of the season ) but this has to be backed up with performance on the pitch which recently have been disappointing.
