as an ex barista for 6 years, i learned the espresso shot dies when it comes into immediate contact with water or ice. the best flavor profile for the espresso shot for an iced americano is to have it mixed with a fatty/sugar. start with your iced cup, pour 3 shots over a splash of any milk/syrup pump, immediately stir THEN pour water and ice. my go to drink as well, lots of people came to me for americanos bc they knew i made them the best. try it out

I'm so intrigued by Emma's editing - how the clips are put together. For example ~ the red shoes followed by the red beach watch tower. The fluffy white & grey clouds followed by the fluffy white & grey dog. The red light in the hotel corridor followed by the green light in the lift. Or am I reading too much into it? Either way, Emma's style, especially montage, is unique and fascinating!

It feels like I’m in a new chapter of life. I just started working from home yesterday. No long commute, no seattle traffic giving me anxiety/a headache, 2 & 1/2+ hours a day to myself to do literally anything. So much more gas money saved. I am so inspired and have been waiting for an opportunity like this for a long long time. Here’s to winter hibernation, with my new kittens; poppy & Luna. & my long time fit babies; peachy kitty & Milo doggo too. Thank you Emma for making my winter hibernation so much richer.

9:54 - Highly recommend taking a barista or coffee tasting class. My 2nd manager at Starbucks put me in the Reserve training and so I did a really elevated training course; it's not the highest level by any means but I could technically host a coffee tasting with talking about notes in the coffee. That was like 10 years ago so unsure if it exists currently though.
