It will cost 5$ as far as I know. But it looks fun and engaging enough to pay the price.
each of the 2 new Starcraft 2 maps added will be 5$ the other map is called Direct Strike which is basically Desert Strike with more things in it i feel like this will split the already small community as not everyone is willing to pay 10$ for a 2 maps

just go too steam and use filter #games for 10 $ and cheaper , and i think you understand , why 2 maps for 10 $ looks slitly overpriced.

While its a fun arcade map, paid mods ain't cool...
This is what an a good team of devs can do in the Arcade. I'm glad Blizzard is making the Arcade a profitable career option, I swear you can find MMOs, MOBAs, shooters and sports games that way above the average in there. It's just a great "game engine", you know Town of Salem? It started out as a SC2 arcade mod called Mafia, they had to make that game because they couldn't monetize the arcade; now it's a hit game even though SC2 Mafia is still far superior. Not to mention that games like League and DOTA came from another "arcade" in past Blizzard games; "Paid mods" memes aside, I find this Premium Arcade concept a hit idea by Blizzard, and I find it likely that we'll get a gem or two be it Starcraft related mods or something that's not even an RTS style game.
nothing will come out from a company that wants to earn fast cash from people that already payed for the game
These are new games, and bigger projects than many indie games sold for way more than 5 bucks and I bet you have dozen of those on your Steam
new games ? its remakes and deffently would call that milking ther player base
People were making plenty of quality things without digging in player's wallets. all this means is _LESS_ people will be inclined to bother with this stuff and hasten the demise of SC2.
