In my opinion, Episode 6 is THE turning point where Helluva goes from like... a few funny mildly unconnected episodes to a deeply intriguing continuous plot that has genuine weight and makes you care. While also being just fckn badass.

One of the main jokes of episode 2 is Stolas is powerful enough he didn't need protection, he just wanted to see Blitz.
He can't defend against an attack he doesn't anticipate though, so he would have been dead at the harvest festival.
So your thing about ads telling a story making them so fun... is so true. early "distractible" podcast did that before the companies stopped giving the trio creative freedom to do these full skits with multiple advertisers. Mark once went to jail for multiple deaths in a car ad, used his call for a phone service ad to threaten bob and wade, and then escaped thanks to his manscaped delivery in jail

The only reason he invited blitz to looloo land was because he wanted to be with him, the bodyguard thing was just an excuse. You can tell he's not in any real danger because of how relaxed he is when he's actively being kidnapped/assassinated, and how at the end of the episode he straight up turns a guy to stone when he's over everyone's shit

23:41 to correct you here, yes they can only be killed by angelic weapons. Which they where. All the weapons used in the fight were angelic weapons. Cherry’s bombs where modified to be angelic, Angel’s gun was angelic, Sir pentious also said in the show“Fire the angelic cannons”. You can gather it by seeing the little montage of them making weapons/prepping for the fight.

I wouldn't say it's a hassle for him. He turned an imp to stone easily just with a glance when it came to Via. He doesn't seem to have bodyguards other than Blitzo (I'm not counting the party staff because they seemed to moreso fit the bill of bouncers, not necessarily protecting Stolas, but the estate).

The reason Moxxie was so against Striker being able to kill Stolas. Is because when hellborn demons die they get erased, but I.M.P inly kills humans and they get sent to the afterlife. It isn’t a permanent death.

And because to him, humans aren’t his kind. Stolas is his kind just royal. And someone being able to so easily permanently kill someone so powerful (that is the reason he has a job btw) is scary. And it’s probably illegal.
I doubt that. It's heavily implied (pretty much outright said) IMP used to do regular assassination work. We haven't been told why they stopped other than that they were able to once they got the human assassinations part of the business off the ground, but given we see Moxxie kill other imps without much if any hesitation, it's unlikely it's a moral qualm for him beyond it being someone he knows, unless imps specifically believe in reincarnation within hell, which might give a separate moral weight to killing them in his mind. But we don't get any indication of that, so it's probably just a combo of him not liking Striker, their company needing Stolas alive, and Moxxie knowing and not particularly disliking Stolas.

That was before they were able to do jobs on earth, so the only people they could be taking hits on would be demons in Hell. In 2x03 Blitz repeatedly tells Crim they don't take contracts in Hell "anymore", indicating they that used to be their business. There might have been other references to it I'm forgetting, but those one's are the most explicit that I recall. And on the topic of Moxxie killing other demons, he almost certainly did kill non-imps in his past line of work before he met Blitz, now that I think about it, so the idea of him not having a moral issue with kill because of some belief in reincarnation would have to extend to other non-immortal demons and specifically not extend to demon royals for it to make sense as to why he'd be fine killing them and not royals, without it being an issue of sentiment or just classism.
I love how in future episodes you will continue to care for these characters so so much way more than Hazbin Hotel characters tbh..truly amazed by how far Helluva Boss has come through

They're just car safety and insurance ads, but they took 3-4 years to come out in sequence (2011-14) and they've got both a purposefully cliche love story and that classic, self-mocking Australian humor. In fact, they're such cultural icons that they reappeared in 2021 as a bonus cameo to encourage vaccinations. I know you're more of a show guy than an ad guy, but trust me that all the Aussies would crawl out of the woodwork to gush over their favourite ship if you did check it out lol

It was taking longer than usual for this ep to come out; not that we ever get an actual release date for an episode, but at that time there was usually about two or three months between episodes. Then we saw the episode, saw Moxxie's hallucination scene and then especially that KICKASS fight scene and were like, "Oh. That's why."

The reason Stolas asked for a bodyguard wasn't because he needed protection, he just wanted an excuse to be around Blitz. By all means he's nearly invulnerable and practically a god. This gets shown off in a few areas, especially in his music video which you should totally check out.

I love the fight scene with Striker, it’s so visceral. Ep. 6 is very good, but Ep. 5 will always have a special place in my heart just because of how cool Striker is in that one.

I love that Hellava just got started as a side project while we were waiting LITERAL YEARS for the Hazbin to come out and it's grown in popularity and the character arcs have been incredible. I can't wait for the new episode to release in May :D
Blitzo is in a way jealous of Millie, but also of Moxie, because they have such a nice and stable relationship, which Blitzo also craves. And it is kinda clear that he would like to third wheel in their relationship. Just look at the time he plays with two figurines of Millie and Moxie before Stolas invites him to Loo Loo land.
Millie's mom was born in Hell, but I"ll grant that "her thighs probably caused the Rapture" is a good line. 😂 The "Long Long Man" series of linked commercials from Japanese TV is the saga you've been looking for. Perfect blind reaction material for your style. Barb from Turbotax is seething with jealousy. Moxy, Millie, Stolas, Blitz, Luna and most of the main characters in this show are not sinners but hellborn. There are 7 rings of hell, they go to the wrath ring for the festival and sinners can ONLY be in the first, the pride Ring. Hellborn are also not affected by the extermination.
Maybe Stolas can only do this kinda thing when it involves saving Blitzo from some poor fools trying to kill or hurt him.
I’m sure there are others that have pointed this out but one of my favorite details is that Millie’s sister is trans if you notice male imps have black and white horns while female imps have all black horns and if you notice Millie’s sister has black and white horns implying that she’s trans and it’s something you can really miss if you’re not paying attention
The reason stolas “needed” body guards is just that he wanted to spend time with blizo he never actually needed them it is established in the show that the only thing that can harm Him is angelic weapons also the reason he never really defends himself is bc he never takes what ever “danger” that is happening seriously bc he know that he is very strong and only angel wepons can hurt him
10:30-10:45 “It would make sense for him to hiss if he was a rattlesnake demon, but he’s not… He’s a long rat.” Me: *wheezes at Striker being bullied for several moments* Actually, Striker is canonically half-rattlesnake demon. It’s why his tail rattles.
For the record, the reason why the fight scene was so good was because it was a collab with a few other studios, so they could make it better

I feel like we should inform Danny that there’s a song during the credits of episode 8 he should listen to. Missing out on Monster’s Ball would be a shame
to be fair, the episode that had Stolas want Blitz to be his bodyguard also showed Sotlas perfectly capable of defending himself in the end (turning the imps trying to kill him into stone), implying that he basically just wanted Blitz there for the sake of it (it's like being rescued by him is his kink or something)
Millie's sister's voice actor is actually a trans voice actor. Enjoyed your reaction! Edit: The humour and fighting in Helluva boss is competitive with Hazbin. His face with the fighting was mine. My boyfriend was chuckling at me. "THEY ACTUALLY KILL PEOPLE. SATISFYING."
