Undefeated super middleweight Caleb Plant faces Ghana’s Thomas Awimbono in a scheduled 10-round bout February 25, 2017 on PBC on FS1 in Birmingham, AL.
Plant closes round 1 with a flurry of punches and lands a left hook that drops Awimbono. Plant controls rounds 1 and 2 and Awimbono tries to connect but does not have much success.
Awimbono begins to shell up in round 3 forcing Plant to cut the ring off and be the aggressor. Awimbono comes forward in round 6 and Plant keeps his defense tight.
In the final rounds Awimbono continues to not throw combinations and is more on the defensive side. Plant keeps his foot on the gas letting off nice combinations.
Plant wins by unanimous decision and improves his record to 15-0 (10 KO’s).

I think you gotta have speed to beat somebody like Plant. If not, you're just going to get countered and picked apart. Eubank has speed but other than that he isn't an elite fighter especially not at 168. It would be a good fight though, I just don't see Eubank Jr. fighting any Americans right now, especially not a guy like Plant who would be a high-risk, low-reward type of fight since Plant is not a champ or a very big name but is a real threat in the ring.
annon amous Jr was never really hyped lol he just a animal if you stand in front of him and plant isn't as good as a bjs or groves plant is very skilled but he does get tired and if you get tired against Jr you gonna take a lot of punishment in the championship rounds

Plants feints and footwork are impressive. His power must be there also, because Awimbono was still wincing into the 9th round at Caleb's most minute feints.

roger stone his defense wasn't great in this fight but he has had pretty good head movement in past fights. Holes in his game are starting to become visible tho as he moves up in competition. Although I still think he has the goods to be great
