  • Think it’s about time I leave a comment here. When I was 9, I remember that this game looked like the coolest thing ever. I didn’t have a switch at the time, and I didn’t want to ask for one for Christmas because they’re $300 and I knew that was a lot of money. Fast forward to Christmas of 2017, and my parents surprise me with a Nintendo Switch, Mario Kart, and a copy of this game. I was so hyped to play it, and basically spent the rest of Christmas break blitzing through it. Turns out, it was the coolest game ever. Now I’m 14 years old, coming up on 15. I’m in freshman year of high school instead of 4th grade. Now I’m into the gaming world, and I couldn’t be happier. Honestly, almost all of my friends today are because of that. And it all started with my favorite game of all time, Super Mario Odyssey.

    • it's amazing how mario games always deliver no matter what generation! i felt the same exact way when mario galaxy was announced in 2009 and i was just 12 years old, it looked like the coolest game ever each new entry still excites me, can't wait to see how nintendo will manage to top odyssey

    • When I finished the Darker Side of the Moon and Cappy was telling me what an adventure this has been and how amazing it was, I started tearing up, because he's absolutely right. It WAS an adventure and I enjoyed every second of it. 10/10. Will play it over and over for years to come. Fingers crossed for an Odyssey 2 teaser soon!

    • Bloop iero Although, I did spot an alarming amount of things from previous games in this trailer (Galaxy Shockwave thingy, several voice clips, etc.). Hopefully these were just thrown in to make the trailer and won't be in the final release.

    • Bloop iero That's something I didn't know about. Thanks for telling me. Also, I'm perfectly fine with them taking old content and putting it into a new game. I just don't want the entire game to BE primarily old content *cough3dlandand3dworldcough*. In fact, I personally want to see the Cape Feather. It's been forever since it was in a mainstream Mario platformer (emphasis on mainstream. I know about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe) and it would be a breath of fresh air to see a returning flying powerup other than the super leaf. So far, this game is looking great.

  • Six years ago...time really does fly. This one my first game on my switch, I wanted this game and switch so bad and kept hinting to my parents that I wanted a switch and then me and my dad went to the local GameStop some time after to trade in our family xbox and he decided to get a switch for "mom" (she never played it, it was for mainly for meXD) I love this game, got some great memories attached.

  • Replaying it again after a couple of years, this game makes me so happy. Beautiful graphics, incredibly fun gameplay, and a wonderful soundtrack. Every time I play it, it puts me in such a good place. It's a type of fun that isn't seen enough in today's video games, and in 2022, i still feel the same way about this game. I really, really hope we will get a sequel soon. Absolutely phenomenal game!

  • Can't believe six years passed from this trailer. When there were only handful of games to purchase on the Nintendo switch the game's trailer utterly excited me for the game's own release and for upcoming games. After playing through the whole game collecting the entire moons hidden (999 moons) I can confirm it was worth it. Every stage throughout the game included a different atmosphere, characters and mechanics which were fun to explore. Nowadays I don't play much of any video games and whenever I'm being reminded of them it feels as I forgot an enjoyable part of my childhood that can't be restored.

    • majority of games that come out are rushed and just obvious cash grabs. But games like Oddesey will always give me that feeling like when I played as a child. If they make a sequel to this I could be 40 years old and still get lost in the game and have an amazing time.

  • I would like to thank this game for not only existing but made my 2019 (I played this back in 2019) the best year in my entire life. There was and will never be a Mario game that can instantly win my heart just like Odyssey. Sure theres 64, sunshine, and galaxy but Odyssey has everything that I've been wanting in a Mario game ever since I finished 64 (deeper movesets than 64, perfect controls, bigger levels, more places to go, and Pauline). This is truly a Mario Masterpiece. Thank You so much for existing and making my 2019 my best year.

  • This trailer was one of the best Nintendo did yet, my favorite part has to be how they made it seem like the "cap tossing" was merely a new mechanic for the game only to reveal at the end that the Cap is actually a sentient being (Cappy).     • IT'S GONNA BLAST INTO OBLIVION, THAT'S WHAT! No, seriously. This game is overrated more than the Undertale and FNAF fan bases. The execution for this game is not handled well, and I feel like it's going to be a Sonic 06 clone that was actually finished, but sucks regardless. It's too open world, and makes me think there are going to be side quests and missions like Sonic 06. When I first saw this trailer, we were all teased by a potential Sonic Adventure remake, and got something worse. It's like the trainer in Pokemon Gen 4 that you can trade a Medicham for a Haunter that has an Everstone. They try to lure you in giving you high expectations, and troll you.

    • In some sense, your right. The issue is that this generation is growing up on COD and GTA, and the Wii U was not amazing. But, being still is school, this generation is definitely liking Nintendo more after the Switch came out.
