Come on! Even if you are a native speaker, you will need to think too long and prepare for answers to these questions. Your IELTS score will depend entirely on your luck and the person taking the exam.
I agree with you It's difficult to think fast specially in this situation i mean in the exam situation!
Not at all, if youre a native speaker, dont have an IQ of below 60 and can manage your stress you can answer them pretty much instantaneously
@@glock25onyofacebrrrr11 Even if the IQ score of the native speaker was high and even if they were be able to manage their stress, It depends on the person's educational level. I am not saying this to look down on, but an uneducated person who is a native speaker of English, cannot score 9, or whatever the highest score is. Educated people are more proficient in the target language. Quickness is not the most important on testing, proficiency is.
@@glock25onyofacebrrrr11 the higher the IQ doesn't always guarantee that someone would be able to answer every single questions easily. Yet, most of time, people with higher IQ always explain everything slowly and carefully. It happens since they're afraid that their argument could trigger someone's opinions and feelings.

Band 7.5 Your grammar, 1.Try to change tense always. Don't speak in a single tense.. (present, past and future) 2. Clear Sentence structure 3. Give reason to your answer. 4. Extend your answer, 5. Give personal examples 6. Compare if necessary. 7. Give opinion if asked 8. Don't speak slowly or very fast.. 9. Use good vocabulary.
That's ridiculous, even in my own mother language I don't speak as sophisticated as you stated. It's unnatural.
To be fair to you, it's all proper albeit aforementioned notions aren't followed by the candidates in a manner to get more than 7.

Her pronounciation was better than the pronounciation of people from south/eastern Asia who I can't understand without subtitles and you evaluate with the same band or band 7.5 and more. BTW I love people from those countries but I am confused about the evaluating in this Speaking exam. Justice pls...
That mention is true . 7 point a little bit fewer for Azra min 7.5 score suitable.
I don't like this exercice, because the most difficult thing in this exercice is to have imagination to speak about a topic very "boring" ...
but the topics are all chosen to be comfortable (more or less) for anyone. however, i can partly agree with you, since I had to talk about an item which i had had borrowed recently in part 2. and I didn't have much choice, because you cant simply ask for another topic. so, the only option i had was to come up with a legend and make it sound truthfully in only just one minute. that's what I find really hard
Maybe it's because of your inability to come up with some interesting thoughts and you should try to raise your creativity and general awareness about some topics
Then don't take this exam and stay in your country lol
Yeah, unlike Writing topics, Speaking topics are absolutely ridiculous and out of touch with real life. It's always very awkward to practice them.
I think she speaks clearly and fluently in my opinion she deserve more than 7 point. Congratulations Azra.
She spoke well, but her pronunciation had some problems. overall, I liked the way she answered all the questions confidently. Her vocabulary was also good.
Her pronunciation had some problems because Turkish and English completely different languages.
I think she deserves at least a band 7.5
You are right! But, there are many grammatical errors!
Yes, she could get a better score, but her answers sounds so repetitive and it is cleat that she learned it by heart. I think she could have been more natural
She didn't hesitate to answer any question. Right in the bull's eye!👊
and that looks like she remembered the answers before this so-called "interview"
If she takes 7 , probably I can take 2 or 3 😂😂 lol

I see why the 7 here, she could have spoken a bit longer on her Part 3 section (felt her answers were a bit short) and there were opportunities where using examples to elaborate her views would have helped her just fine 😅 Still 7.5 seems to be fair here
No, I think, she had to be marked with at least 8, his fluency is just awesome, and I feel sure, what score you are given extremely depends on the type and the mood of the examiner!

It's like the exam took place in the 70's. We are in 2021, instead of shaping the exam according to the rules, shape it according to the young people. Don't turn the card over, start when I say start, turn the paper over and set it aside. No big institution carries out such a process with young people in their interviews.

What? Are you sure?!
I judt got 7 and i spoke better than her or similar what a shame really
I had the same impression.
She deserved 7.0 as the Examiner evaluated. The reason is that She had a big effect of her native language to English , like using the L1 accent in Speaking as well as the usage of Intonation of words are wrong according to the criteria of IELTS speaking. Anyway, Good job , 7.0 Is really good and I do believe that the girl will do well in her upcoming exams in English

Fair point, however, she does make some fundamental mistakes.

she used lots of advanced words but made too many grammar mistakes, hence band 7. Ielts isn't about using fancy words, it's about using language accurately and sounding natural.

She deserves more !
When I first watched this video few years ago, I was confused how she scored 7 with that performance but I see better now. She is overall good and did an amazing job but the way she speaks doesn't feel that natural or casual. It feels like she is stuck in grammar rules. (I may be wrong on that. I just tell how I feel) Besides, she could say "bright side" instead of "positive side". Or she could use the word of "jogging" instead of "going to run" would be better. English isn't my mother tongue and I also plan to take this exam. But I am super nervous that I'll fail miserably. I think confidence is the key here.

What's interesting to me is when any question comes students immediately answer. I have to think 🤔 quite some time about these. Self analyzing yourself and finding happiness is something philosophical and exam time is not enough to answer to that truly. Lots of practice with IELTS interviews before the exam is the key - you can do that here www.aehelp.com
I would definitely give her an 8. She doesnt seem like she byhearted a speech before the exam, her experiences definitely come from the heart instead of those robotic candidates who use the same words and fake life experiences to pass an exam. Most 9 bands I have seen really sound fake and everything feels 'made up' , however she spends time thinking and coming up with her own ideas. Yes her accent is not british enough but I think this test is about being able to communicate clearly not about sounding British.
