Dad didn't really leave anything but the house ( It was before a lot of family laws , a lot of subsidies like WIC, plus, it was the 80's so most of her paycheck was going to gas. al biet I agree many laws and subsidies go over board now. ) She would take me, and sometimes my cousins, and we'd park where we could browse a bunch of yard sales. We'd find things for a lot cheaper than in Sears catalog and people would occasionally give us a little bag, book or something that their kid had outgrown. it wasn't fancy but we at least had it. and I know she worked her arse off. Nowadays some think if you don't have a 60 inch TV you're in poverty and everyone oughta pay for everything they want, even if it means people lose their business, don't have rent etc.

    • Leftists act like trailer parks don't exist. Rural America can be every bit as poor and left behind as any inner city kid. It was Oregon I believe that lowered school standards for minorities to graduate high school because they're poor and poor people don't have the same benefits at home to let them succeed in school. How racist is that? It's telling minorities they're too stupid and poor to get good grades while pretending all whites are rich and inherently smarter than blacks. One day I hope the white guilt liberals or certain blacks realize what the Democratic policies are inherently insulting to them and are the very thing oppressing them, not helping them.

  • Tbh, I’m glad my ancestors were sold during the African slave trade. We even have a diary that showed my 5th great grandmother was happy as well, because of the horrors she left in Gambia. She met my 5th great grandfather after she was freed by the man who bought her. His wife taught her how to read and write in English, and she even stayed after being freed to work for them. A lot of people think every slave owner was bad then (less than 10% of the population owned slaves in the south btw), but my own ancestor contradicts that and said she was glad. GLAD. It turned my whole worldview upside down when my grandmother told me about her. I also wouldn’t want to be in most parts of Africa right now, and tbh my family probably would have died off. I’m glad to be in America and the tone of my skin means nothing to me. The problem is that too many people are proud of their skin color, and not their culture or ethnicity.

The antiwhite establishment in the US is not simply opposed to the beliefs and practices of White Americans. They are opposed to our very existence. They do not want people to possess the quality or condition of being White. Their hostility to us simultaneously runs deeper than an opposition to aspects of our culture and is shallower than a real cultural critique. It’s simply a visceral contempt. Also, I feel antiwhiteness sounds better than antiwhiteism, as it is less evocative of the language used by minority activists (i.e. antisemtism or racism). Hostility to the ethnic majority of a country is ethnically worse than hostility to a minority and should be called out in different language.

  • This is why I appreciate their songs lately, they aren’t saying they have the answers, they say what they aren’t willing to do to follow along blindly to the nonsensical ideologies that are mostly coming from the left. BUT the point is to get people TALKING to come up with the best solution possible! Blindly following one party and all of their ideologies is a big part of the problem that causes these types of issues. So if you can put out a song that gets people talking, that’s step 1 to UNDERSTANDING and understanding leads to respecting those opinions even if they aren’t aligned with yours. Then that leads to more discussions to try to come to a well thought out solution that then can be implemented to make things better. That’s what real music does, it’s a reaction to what’s going on, and then the conversations after are how to get somewhat of a better solution. Example is exactly this, you’re talking about it and if others that have the ability to make changes talk about it, we move closer to a better outcome. We are tired of the senseless murders of people that come after media inflames and sensationalizes 1 particular story and acts like it’s everywhere. People get emotional and irrational and they PREY ON THAT. That causes chaos and confusion and then we get what we have now. The media should be held accountable at some point too.

  • I think the song cuts right to the core of it all. He notes, that one side is carrying a lot of baggage, and dually noted with care, but also notes it is time to let it go, because obviously both groups of people now today were not enslaved or slave owners. He also notes that being poor is not exclusive to just one group and despite the fact that your poverty may look and feel a whole lot like the same old oppression you faced once upon a time, a whole lot of other people who look different than you are also in the same boat. And, the forces that perpetuate their dispositions in society are the elites, whose policies only SEEM to help poor folks, but not really. Actually their policies help keep poor people poor. In conclusion, they pull this off quite easily or at least it used to be easy, but many people are waking up to the fact that you don't have to vote one way because of your color.
