  • Beautifully designed "parking" on the trailer. And if the means of emergency rescue and reliable radio communication are already realized, this is already a real full boat with practical application.

  • I gave a thumb up as this is a lifelong dream of mine, to build a sub, but I'll never do it. But holy moly the music made me want to take my own life. The video is still going, I hope I make it to the end.

    • blipco5 you shoud do it! It may cost a lot of money, depends on what you use for materials and such. It’s also going to be extremely time-consuming to do it. There’s a pair of german brothers who made a submarine using a pair of bathtubs. But there were just too many weak spots, so it imploded. They notified in the video that they were going to use a gas tank instead

  • I can't believe you didn't have safety divers. Seriously dangerous, especially leaving the hatch open. If it had rolled, driver would probably have been trapped. Its all fun and games until the sub takes a roll.

    • The propeller would make it dangerous for a safety diver. And given how low the sub sat after launch, I'd imagine they'd over ballasted the sub just to be on the safe side.

  • what bothers me about many of these propane tank subs is that there is no mechanical rudder or dive plane..and the basic stability seems not to have been though about.. so I can see this thing easily rolling hatch under in any kind of waves... so a product of a designer who knows neigher boats nor airplanes.

  • Neat mini-sub exhibition. It would have been nicer to have had didactic commentary of what was going on, some talk about safety, rescue, self-rescue, problems, problem-solving, capabilities and intentions, and experience with home-made subs, etc. For a first test dive, where are the safety divers and back-up crew? Otherwise, nice job.
