How to drive the McLaren 750s Spider * Full Review with 0-60 MPH & 1/4 Mile Testing
I take the new McLaren 750s for a drive, do full review and compare it against my hard core 765LT Spider.
#mclaren #750s #howto
The McLaren 750S emerges as a pinnacle of supercar evolution, a successor to the venerable 720S, and a testament to McLaren’s relentless pursuit of performance excellence. This vehicle is not just a step forward but a leap into the future of high-performance sports cars, combining raw power with refined engineering and cutting-edge technology.
At the core of the McLaren 750S lies a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine, producing an awe-inspiring 749 horsepower, allowing it to achieve lightning-fast acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 200 mph. McLaren has gone beyond merely boosting power; they’ve refined the vehicle’s performance to offer a more engaging driving experience. The powertrain benefits from a new calibration and additional hardware upgrades, such as a second fuel pump and a shortened final-drive ratio, enhancing the car’s acceleration and responsiveness. This results in a vehicle that not only performs impressively on paper but feels alive and responsive to the driver’s inputs, creating an intimate connection between man and machine.
The McLaren 750S’s prowess is not limited to straight-line speed. Its handling and dynamics are engineered to match its ferocious power output. The vehicle boasts a sophisticated suspension system, incorporating adaptive dampers and active aerodynamics to deliver unmatched agility and stability. This system allows the car to maintain optimal control and precision, ensuring a confident driving experience through every corner. Further refinements to the chassis, including a re-tuned Proactive Chassis Control system and adjustments to the spring rates, make the 750S exceptionally “tossable” around turns, offering a balance that is both exhilarating and reassuring.
The McLaren 750S also distinguishes itself with its design and technological innovations. While it retains a visual connection to its predecessor, significant aerodynamic enhancements and a meticulous approach to weight reduction have been implemented. The vehicle features a larger rear wing and a more aggressive front splitter, contributing to improved high-speed stability and downforce. The interior showcases McLaren’s commitment to luxury and functionality, with a minimalist yet high-quality cockpit designed to enhance the driving experience.
Despite its race-bred capabilities, the McLaren 750S does not compromise on comfort or practicality. It is equipped with a variable crosslinked suspension system that can be adjusted to offer a ride quality ranging from track-focused firmness to a more compliant setting suitable for daily driving. This adaptability, combined with thoughtful features like a front-end lift system, ensures the 750S is as at home on the city streets as it is on the racetrack.
Priced at $331,470 for the Coupe and $352,740 for the Spider variant, the McLaren 750S is positioned at the pinnacle of the supercar market. It represents a blend of extreme performance, advanced technology, and luxurious comfort, catering to a discerning clientele that demands the best of all worlds.
Mine is about 2 weeks out - this video made the wait both easier and harder at the same time.
how r u enjoying it now

It is indeed a bot; this troglodyte of a bot posted something almost identical on a recent Auto Trader video. The humility part was the most laughable
The 720, 765, and 750 all look similar but perfect from every angle. Beautiful cars.
A 765LT doesn’t look similar to a 720S bro
@@gaara4667you’re not serious, right? Research both and you’ll see the only difference is improved aerodynamics on the 765.
@@PoorPapa1025 exhaust set up is different
@@CharlesWilson-oz8yshe said similar not the same and he's right they all look similar. I think the 750 looks the worst though.
750s looks worse than the 720 and the 765 imo
🚥The 750s is basically a more driver friendly road going 765LT. It has the same engine performance same short gear ratios same wing design but more refined than the raw 765LT… both are great so pick your poison 😎👍🏽
I prefer my poison raw, looks like I’ll be going with the 765LT 1:18 edition. My dealer at Hot Wheels has always treated me right.
Absolutely not. The same engine performance as the 765? The 750 is slower than the 720.
@@executiveinvestmentsyes same exact engine just a different state of ECU tuning 🤫
@@BearLeeski 765 also has the same motor. But the 720 is both quicker and faster than the 750.
Man I watch all your videos and I gotta say thank you so much for us folks that live vicariously through your videos. I would love nothing more than a ride in any badass car in your collection. It would make may day, week, and year. Keep up the amazing content brother.
I really love this "How to drive" series. Keep making more of them 💜💜
LOL, SPEEDO blurred out at just the right moments. Great demo Brooks, thank you !
Great review, well explained.
Such savage cars, it goes from comfy supercar to brutal acceleration and the noise when the turbos come on boost hard is epic.
Gorgeous colour Artura GT car sounds like a riot!
Dragtimes Awesome Review I think it's awesome that you got to Check out and Drive that Absolutely Gorgeous and Incredible 750s Spider and I think it's Absolutely Incredible and I can't wait till you get yours
The intensity of that thing when the turbos spool up! whoa!
Mach-Jesus at full spool.
Sounds beyond good
Love the way it shoves you into your seat. Just wish it had more turbo noises
18:00 This is the most notable thing about performance.. Our 91 octane fuel in California, Nevada, and Arizona is genuinely a lower grade quality than anywhere else, it's closer to 89 Octane. My friend's 720S wasn't getting anywhere near the dragy 60-130 times as we've been able to find online. The ECU absolutely pulls tons of timing, probably some 5-6 degrees, thanks to our crummy gas. You've gotta splash Ethanol or Racefuel into the tank if you want typical expected performance figures.
Is there anywhere in LV to get better than 91?
Sounds really good
Great content as always. Any plans to do some videos on the RX7?
thanks! I do need to get the RX-7 out some more....
It sound and looks stunning
😱WOW, I LOVE THIS CAR, BY FAR THE CURRENT McCLAREN TO HAVE, LOVE THE SPEC TOO🤩THE SOUND IS AMAZING😎
Mine is 8 months out, but I think it will be worth the wait!
Out of the three , 750s Spider would be my choice
The scenery is just breathtaking
Great car, well improved.
Those wheels though! 🤩
That color changing Sunroof glass is really cool and it should be for 10K. I would try and get rid of the passenger not detected warning sign on the Dash. Thanks for the video.
McLaren has come a long way on their displays and functionality. Mine felt like it was powered by a 80286 processor and was definitely the weak link of the car (minor issue of course, as the rest of the car was incredible)....Brooks, have you done the Woking tour? It's a really incredible facility...
Your videos are always awesome thank you. I have a 23 ZO6 and currently can’t afford a 750s but a McLaren is a dream car. In your opinion is double the price valid?
You are replying at your own question with '' dream car'', one is a Mclaren 145mph trap speed car beauty VERY EXCLUSIVE dream car, the other a GM mass production 129mph that we see everywhere! ( when including C8 ). Of course it worth it!!
Brooks, Would you organize the Honest Holy Trinity Roll races with the stock tires and the same fuel , please?!!!🙏🙏🙏!!!
What mic were you using to get the crisp engine sounds in POV?
The pov shot looks like a video game
Man , you can really drive . The car is amazing.
I have a Tokyo cyan 765LT. Great color
Wow what a color. Looks similar to Porsche’s Miami Blue
You should take the floormats out...that'll help you get that 9 sec run. lol
And the passenger seat as well 😄
When the blur hits the speedo, you know you're on the fun side of the speed limit 😄👌🏼
To drive that car on that road.. You're a lucky man
That car looks great in that Blue color. However, I just can’t get excited about it when there is already a 765LT on the channel. It definitely is better than a 720S but the 765LT still seems better.
It’s hysterical the 750 is slower than the 720. lol
How is the 750s slower?? Much faster than the 720@@executiveinvestments
@@kritische4920 ur wrong it’s slower. How is it slower? Ummm…do you know the meaning of the word?
@@kritische4920 go look up Carwow 720 vs 750 drag race then come back here.
no its not, its much faster in every aspect. why slower, how? on track? top speed? what???@@executiveinvestments
I hope you can do a drag race between 750 & 720 & would love to see the results Last time I checked .. Matt Watson from Carwow doing it .. looks like the 750 loses to 720 .. Is it possible ..?
That’s a real cool car
nice color combination
What part of the country are you in? i love it.
You need 93 or better fuel go to Sahara and Decatur in Las Vegas to the ampm
Damn, 144mph trap😮
720s traps 146 mph
750s looks nice
👍👏
The McLaren 750 Spyder is a beautiful car.
McLaren 750s Spider is the best super sports car in the world !
The 720s is faster according to carwow
Carwow doesn't know what they're doing. Not serious Just for fun!
in some races I agree with you @@larryc1616
They never said anything, just conduct tests
@@larryc1616because you don't agree that probably why 👍
@@larryc1616what a dumb answer from you. You like a hater 😂 sad boy
One day mcclaren 750s😢 ill just enjoy my zo6 for now
Z06 is great.
I'm still thinking it was not necessary to replace the 720s with this but well.
🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷👏🏻, What an awesome car! Almost sounds like a Ferrari at times, it has a different exhaust tone.
Like Miami blue from Porsche, best color!!!
Is CarPlay wired or wireless in the 750s???
wired, but they are saying there will be OTA update for wireless. But not sure if they keep that promise.
The performance and refinement is obvious over the 720S
*Attaboy*
You can see the panel gaps from here
Sounds great tho
Love the McLarens. 😊
Pro tip: the rear cameras while driving are for when to know when the state troopers are coming to talk to you.
Don't know which is harder to get, the 750S or the black dial Daytona on your wrist lol! All kidding aside, Amazing performance!
Did you off-road it @13:28?
no, big dip in the road
If u have to choose one - would u prefer 765LT spider or 750s spider ?
765LT Spider
I wonder if it will be in the shop 50% of the time like every other McLaren lol
What’s the warning sign for?
looks like a passenger related warning, the car is probably detecting the bag or jacket resting on the seat and thinks there is a passenger seated without a seatbelt on.
I noticed you blurred out the speed above 65mph.
It's a better 720s with a few problems from the old car ironed out, why change a car that was so good, the 720s full replacement is on its way though. I think it's a good idea to do all these little changes to make the car the best as possible before moving on. It won't have done much for the value of the 720s though especially in the future, most will want this model.
Is it me or did yall see those same wheels on a hyundai or toyota camry recently?
Why don't they call it 740?
The crackles are a pleasant gift.
17:00 this guys really has to try a Jesko
He has a Gemera on order
11:30
So much better than a cyber truck. JK McLaren #1
You were accelerating so quickly to the legal speed limit that your speedometer blurred.
As a Vice President who has achieved tremendous success in career, it’s truly admirable that also brooks possesses such exquisite driving skills.❤
And by the way Brooks I'd like to speak to you about something if you have called your business and they said to text I mean an email you so I'll do that sometime today or tomorrow but it's something you think you really like to hear about
60-130 ?
5.3s
The 750s in 5 years will be a great deal😂
Anyone see on carwow the drag between 720 and 750? 720s was faster which is insane
Yes I saw it. 720s is just so fast
Tyres was the problem for the 750s
I swear the 750s won 3-2 in the drag race. I think the roll on race was maybe the 720s
Can't imagine picking a Porsche over this
720s looks better in my opinion. Better looking front bumper, wheels, and exhaust. Same speed in a straight line too.
Rule one! It’s not a dragster. It’s a sports car!
Supercars are cool but bikes will always be more engaging, visceral, and exhilarating.
765 Lite? Why anyone would buy a 750 or 765 puzzles me.
Has that annoying low frequency rattle the 720 had 😢
I’m guessing Carwow raced a dud? It lost to the 720S in a roll race by a decent margin.
@@fleetwoodmacnet8058 720s would still walk away from any cars like 750s 765 918 etc on a roll race 720s used to walk litre bikes in rolling race No surprise here beating a 750s 720s is fastest supercar still to this day Watch 720s Autobahn run it was faster than mclaren P1 at 1 mile even higher trap speeds 720s matched 765 1/4 and 1/2 mile times on Autobahn same day same road same surface 720s was faster
Cant wait for Hybrid McLarens!
That idle rattle feels really wrong (and cheap).
Stop with the 'roll-out' BS, please.
In Carwow recent drag race video between a 750s and 720s the 720s beat the shit out of 750s and leave it In the dust. I really don't understand why this car exist because everything about this car shows it just a lazy way from McLaren try to grab more money
This 750s did 9.84s on street so quickest than 720s
Pretty easy to calculate speed given gear and RPM, man...blurring it just proves you know what you're doing is probably not ok. lol
I smell 9.5's or lower.

The dumbest thing, spending that much in fast cars with those speed limits.
He doing 144mph lol
