  • Have ridden this board 2 days now down in New Zealand. Coming off the Capita Kazu and a 14/15 Endeavor BOD this board seemed super playful. Yeah it was poppy but all in a good way. I was Riding Turoa in the North Island and we get firm conditions/ice that releases late afternoon, so tough conditions you could say, and at no point did I think this board had issues in the chop or hard stuff. Carves really nicely, quick edge to edge and of course fun on the side hits. I didn't find it much of a workout, the opposite really, but I have come from some quite stiff boards. It's epic and unless I break the Kazu out for some backcountry pow days, this will be the only board I use. Love it. I'm 170cm, 75kg and ride the 155cm. Thanks a lot for all the videos, they are great to watch!

  • Great review. You captured the essence. I got this in a 157 and absolutely love it. I find the long effective edge to be very well matched with the flex pattern of the board. The larger sidecut radius at the nose and relative stiffness lets you really drive the turn (reach for the nose with your rear hand), while it progressively tightens up for that slingshot. As someone who does not like a plank, I did not find this board too stiff. It wants you to put effort into, and yes, it REALLY rewards you. That boost is serious, and I would not consider myself that powerful of a rider, either. I consistently say to myself, it really is the board, not the rider! All that said, in many ways it does ride like my older SupermodelX 160, but with more spring and freestyle intent. Note, I am at the top end of the weight range for the 157.

  • This review sounds like my new board which I bought end of 2023, a 157W Ride Berzerker. Super snappy, fast base, just wide enough for my Ion 10.5 and new L Union Force and rail to rail it is so quick. Lightweight, but edge hold at any speed and some magic upfront soaking up the terrain. It is so fun but as one commentator states, like the Longo not that much work. Want to try a Capita board 24/25 and this one looks like it fits the bill if they are not sold out!

  • Picked one up in a 159. I'm 6'1 210lbs and size 9.5 boot. This review had me a little nervous, but I'm an idiot and proceeded to buy one anyway - what the hell, you only live once. Anyway, as usual Angry is pretty spot on here. I wouldn't say the board is super stiff tip to tail, but torsionally it's a plank. There is no ankle steering. Very fast edge to edge. Gets on an edge and feels very confident that it is locked in. Blows through chop/chunder like a boss, but I really had to get low and strong in the legs or it will take you on a little wild ride. That was kinda the theme - legs far more bent and squatting lower than on any of my other boards to make this thing do what you want. It responds and gives back three fold though. Just nukes and asks for more. You can really carve and lay a trench or slam quick edge to edge carves or just bomb and turn a couple times. That part was really fun. Pop felt really good, but honestly I didn't hit much besides little stuff as I was getting used to the board. My legs were blown up after 2.5 hours though. To put it in perspective, I rode my Nitro Team Pro today in the same fashion for 6 hours and my legs were not even tired. I figure I'll get used to it and my legs will adapt. I think for someone who likes to charge and not F around it's a great board. If your looking for something to cruise on this is not it! Like Angry said, "all gas and no brakes"! That really describes this thing to a T. Really looking forward to getting back on it!

I’m not sure if I should go Kazu again or try out the Aeronaut which has similar specs. I’m an advanced rider - Mostly East Coast with 10-20 days on the west coast/alps. Occasional powder days when available but mostly ripping groomers & glades. No park for me but love natural features. Any suggestions & notable differences between the two boards?

  • Thoughts on sizing for size 9, 5’10 165 lb advanced rider? Ride on the east coast and looking for a total resort ripper to compliment my current quiver of a 147 dancehaul and 157 k2 alchemist. Ride everything from S-XL park features, railing corduroy, and trees when we actually get snow. Unsure if the 155 would be too small for charging due to the waist width or the 157 would be too big for freestyle. Appreciate any feedback. Also wanted to add that I really dig the live shows. Super informative.
