With ATC (air traffic control), ATIS (automatic terminal information system) and cockpit audio. Produced with 4 cameras in 4k quality. Flight number is 9042.
BER airport was opened on October 31st 2020 after a construction time of about 14 years. Berlin Tegel (TXL) was closed after the opening of the BER airport.

Hi Captain! Your videos are incredible. Especially the recent one, even better than Justplanes at some points, I love the two cameras on pilots and the front cam. I will suggest the fourth camera, maybe on your instruments? Thanks again for your hard work Captain, so cool. It makes me want to be a pilot again (a dream that I initiated and stopped because of money), maybe one day I will return, please continue your amazing content.
Thanks for the great feedback! I thought already about showing the instruments in a video. Right now, I am still investigating a good camera position which gives the best views. I hope your dream of being a pilot will be made possible soon!

Hat wie immer großen Spaß gemacht anzusehen. Vielen Dank! Hab ich das richtig verstanden, dass die Wizzair (~13:55) auf die Anweisung "behind departing AirFrance 319 line up 07R behind and wait" mit "cleared for takeoff behind AirFrance" geantwortet hat? Warum wird er da nicht korrigiert?
Der Ton ist aus technischen Gründen nicht immer vollständig. Von ATC kann in den Videos ab und zu mal etwas fehlen. Ich vermute, es ist korrigiert worden und das ist im Video nur nicht zu hören.
ATC erzählt da irgendwas von Take off Roll (kann man leider nicht ganz hören)… Interessantes Beispiel warum „Take off“ wirklich nur bei der clearance verwendet werden sollte ;)
Kurze Frage: Normalerweise sprecht ihr doch auf Deutsch im Cockpit von Eurowings oder?
Es ist sowohl Deutsch als auch Englisch erlaubt. Private Konversation ist meist in Deutsch. Alle Verfahren, operationelle Callouts, Checklisten … sind allerdings in Englisch vorgegeben.
War das im Simulator oder ist die Landebahn inzwischen Realität?
Nein, kein Simulator. Echtes Flugzeug, echte Piloten. Und: Die Landebahn und der Flughafen sind tatsächlich inzwischen in Betrieb. Hat zwar extrem lange gedauert, funktioniert aber ganz gut.
hat die WIZ101J echt “behind… cleared takeoff” zurückgelesen anstatt das “line up” und TWR hat nix gesagt? (Minute 14:00) 🧐😳
Aus technischen Gründen kann in den Videos vom Ton immer mal was fehlen. Deshalb gehe ich davon, dass das entsprechend korrigiert wurde aber im Video nicht zu hören ist.

Rollen mit nur einem eingeschalteten Triebwerk produziert weniger Abgase, verbraucht weniger Sprit und schont die Bremsen.

13:50 Tower asks Swissair if he is ready for immediate departure. Swissair tells he is. 13:56 Tower tells Swissair to LINE UP Rwy 07R and WAIT behind departing Air France 14:05 Swissair says: "Cleared for takeoff behind Air france" Tower does not correct Swissair... Poor tower management?
