You don't watch what he does off the ball you just focus on what he's doing ON the ball. He made room for KDB to get his shot of for the equilizer, he dragged Rudiger and other defenders out of the way for players to make more decisive runs, he came out for the ball and made good passes. At the end of the day he did more than what Vini Jr did...
Running 90 mins, high stress game, levels of concentration, he was doing a lot of pressing up front helping City steal the ball back as quickly as possible. It takes a toll on you. Also Pep would've never revealed this if Alvarez came on and scored LOL

Well that Explains it perfectly then 😂😂 In fact that sums our season too. These players are just complacent and tired. Pep and some fans won't admit it but it's just the sad truth. Achieving the Treble was just a very f cking high celing the club reached and who knows if we reach it again. These players aren't really motivated this season and that's why we haven't beaten any Traditional big team this season except our sh*t neighbours. I recently saw Haaland in an interview asked about his career here in City and he gave a response that was like him saying "i've already won it all there's really nothing else to do again" and that got me very worried. The only reason we're first in the Pl right now was cuz our title rivals messed up themselves in different occasions not just this sunday. Hope we can still do the double but I won't be suprised if we don't. They just need to get that hunger back for next season knowing winning just 1 UCL from their standards is simply just not enough. Let's see how next season goes 🩵🩵

Big mistake to play Grealish in starting team, also letting Erling playing 90 min being such a nobody on the pitch. Other than that, Bernardo lost his mind in the penalty spot and to put Kovacic in the 5 takers is just beyond me. Actually, is truly hard to understand him playing for Man City, should never be there.
Yo people, City obviously deserved the game more than Madrid did, and anyone saying they didn’t doesnt know or even watched the game. I give Madrid that their defense was good but City was better. Atk’ing wise, Madrid can’t even play their style but just long balls, fast contra’s, City did what they usually do and dominate the pitch. Before doku real’s defense was tired and Doku/team used that so well. But it is football and especially in the knockout stages it is a brutal sport. At the end they won and good luck to them but with all these teams in the semi’s I have to say ucl looks a bit boring now.

It wasn't a sad game pep was blinded by Bernardo impact last season and didn't see he Did little, he should have got him out and doku in but made a poor decision and paid the consequence,silva is not good in physicality and attacking on wing like doku, he sleeps😢and was shown by a poor penalty😭🤝

Been told this morning, that Txiki held meeting with agent at cfa during the open yraining session he was at city tuesday. Told that deal for Dani Olmo, who can play left and right wing, false 9 and attacking midfield os vertually done, all that remains is discussions with RB Lipsik who city ate speaking to sort deal out rather than pay release clause, but will pay it if negotiations dont go anywhere. 5 year deal and peesonal terms ate agreed. Release clause is £51m or €60m euros if city can do a deal with RB means they can pay over the 5 years. He is seen as a versatile, multi position player similar to bernardo Silva. Olmo has agreed to everyrhing player side, deal very close. His signing may end city chase for Lucas Paquata as at this stage itvis unlikely the English FA clears his investigation before the summer, as initially he was reported to Brazilian FA who dropped him but they have decided not to take it further which is why he was recalled recently. However our FA still investing and it took them 19 months in grant xaka case so city maybe wont get chance. Their is small chance, if bernardo leaves, city sign olmo and paquata plus a cdm. But watch this space. Dani Olmo to man city is not far from a hear we go im told..

@craigpartytime298 OF course, no one argued he didn't/doesn't score, just that he exclusively scores tap ins and pens and against middle table teams at that😅 there's a reason City won the UCL last year, RODRI, Gundogan and KDB, it's not like they've not made the semi's or final before??? Meanwhile, just like last year, Haaland disappeared once City started getting to the later stages of the UCL😅 only this time those 3 aforementioned players couldn't clutch it for City. Like Keane said, Haaland is a great finisher (very close range and penalties), but beyond that he's just a 6'4" 2nd division player.

@AnthonyNewman-pq3el IF feel the problem with Haaland is fairly simple, the players that perfectly complimented him last year (Gundogan and Mahrez) haven't even remotely been replaced and fully relying on DE Bruyne makes it easier for quality teams to keep Haaland out of the game because I've noticed, Foden, Doku, Grealish these guys don't even look for him at all, only Kevin and Rodri seem to look up. That and his style of play doesn't fit in snuggly with tiki taka, he would be better of at a more direct style of play club.
Haaland, sorry to say overrated yes very much so as one pundit recently said league 2 player at best and no i don't support Man Utd. I just listen to ex-players that have done it all and worn that particular t-shirt and knows what it is like to give a 110% every time he stepped on to a football pitch, So when a player asks to be pulled from such a big game is disgraceful and for a coach to agree well, no comment.
