"Preußens Gloria" is a Prussian march that was written in 1871, and it was popularized in 1909 after the manuscript was accidentally rediscovered and reworked into Prussian military marches, used through Germany's history since that point.
I do not represent any of the ideologies, countries, or religions shown on this channel. No matter if we agree or disagree, it is still important to document the songs of every ideology, country, and religion.

    • @@Danjori well, they still retain quite a lot and they do it accordingly For examples: - Wachbattaillon (the honor guard) - Light Infantry (which according to Imperial Marching drill of 1906 prohibits them to do goose step) - Collar tabs (similar or even the exact same one used by Wehrmacht) - Rank structures (more or less similar to Wehrmacht) - Uniforms (Heer use Hellgrau, while Luftwaffe and Deutsche Marine use the exact same uniform from WWII minus the nazi detail)

    • Let's see, they've abandoned: the iconography, aesthetics, drilling, conscription system, junkers, army theoreticians/philosophers, the general spirit, the entire physical state of Prussia. Oh, but they sometimes play Piefke in drab uniforms, careful not to offend anyone. Also they can debate the merits of Bismarck. The Bundeswehr is a US satelitte army though, so the blame lies there. The NVA, despite being nominally under Soviet control, was much more authetically and autonoumously Prussian, for obvious reasons.

    • @@solaraspect5255 1. Iconography? what? 2. Really? Aesthetics is an important part of Prussian military tradition? 3. Drill marching? you really thought that their marching drill is not Prussian despite adopting Imperial Marching Protocol of 1906? 4. Why would they wanted to fuqing retain conscription? you dumb? 5. What philosophers? 6. Does the "General spirit" actually that matters a lot? 7. That's what happened when they lost a war.

Germans should be allowed to be patriotic again. Do you think it's in German DNA to be proud of their Army, just like people of other countries who, like Germany, have been invaded and suffered more than they've actually invaded

It dates back to the beginning of the 19th century ( 1838 ). It was introduced under the Prussian King William the 3rd a. It was introduced following the Russian model Today, the Great Tatoo are only performed for leading politicians and very senior military officers like a General. The Nazis also used this, but they were not the inventors.

    • Because our hurt pride and subsequent cowardice was the reason for the biggest and most devastating war in the entirety of the COMPLETE HUMAN HISTORY, YOU PRICK! Also, being directly responsible for the violent death of 60 million people is a bit of a negative score on your nations cv. This meant, not only "bravely" killing your oponent on the battlefield but also enslaving millions to work camps, working and hungering them to death, literally. Invading their villages, towns and cities, putting them to the torch. Try living with that as part of your proud ancestry. As a REAL German, you do, one way or the other. No one needs make-up Germans from overseas, and, quite frankly, you are as German as Lasagna if you still think you are one. The music is still pretty awesome, though :P

  • The Bundesadler - Federal Eagle is one of the oldest coats of arms in the world. The Teutonic Knights founded Prussia hence the Eagle is ultimately biblical - soaring as high as an eagle. Prussia, was dissolved in 1947 yet its eagle was adopted federally in different livery.

    @tonyallen9213@tonyallen92133 ай бұрын
    • Not, quite. The Prussian Eagle is not identical with the one used today. The Federal Eagle is based on the Reich's Eagle used during the Weimar Republic, which derived it from the German Empire's Imperial Eagle. Even though there are people who think that the Imperial Eagle was the same as the Prussian Eagle, this wasn't the case. The Empire's coat of arms featured the Imperial eagle with the Prussian Eagle on a shield on his breast (Inescutcheon). Two different eagles, two different purposes: The former for Germany as a whole, the latter symbolising Prussia and its King (the Emperor). Following history, the Imperial Eagle was derived from the German Confederation, which got it from the Holy Roman Empire, which saw itself as the successor to the Roman Empire and thus adopted it's eagle, the Aquila. It's still old, *very* old, but not biblical.

So if its sleeping, its well diluted and will never wake up. Just like Britain only Stalin never overran us with his troops. Only with his philosophy which turned us into pathetic specimens unable to stand up, always looking for "someone else" to hopefully solve their many problems. Plenty of "someone elses" in UK these days but they cause problems not solve them.
