Using FiveTimer to time and ScrambleMe for the scrambles they both support SplitView on (recent) iPads and you can do some fun stuff with that.
Previous attempt: • 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 in ...
(I misremembered it as ~3:35 for some reason) so this attempt is 40 seconds faster! Still, is it just better hardware all around or am I actually faster from roughly... wow, five years ago? It feels like it's 70% hardware 30% faster.

  • Many years ago I got my kids these toys. After they got em all mixed up and couldn't get em back right I waited till they went back to school after Christmas break. Then I took the toys to my brother in law who was a brain at puzzles. He straightened em out and I put em on the kitchen table like it was no big deal, for years the kids thought I I could do em. I let em in on the gag about 5 years ago! Only way I can do one is if I spray painted each side with the right colors! Lolol

  • This is a trick, there are some algorithms and if you use them to mix up your cubes, they will be seem like that the mix of colors. But it is easier to solve these cubes by using a specific algorithms. In the beginning of the video, he opened an algorithms and the second one was for mixing them. I mean, he is not really fast, he just has a good memory to remeber these algorithms.

  • That's awesome. I wish I will do that someday. I know how to solve a few puzzles (like megaminx, fisher, pyraminx, skewb, mirror) and the classic 3×3×3 and the 2×2×2. I can do the 3×3×3 in 45 seconds. That's not awesome, but I'm using the way for begginers. But damn...everything goes bad when I try to do the 4×4×4. It just goes wrong. It takes me like 10 minutes or something like that. But I still have hope. At least I discovered by myself how to solve the fisher puzzle

    • I highly recommend that you switch from beginner's method to Roux or CFOP for 3x3. You averaging 45 seconds now, I bet that it would only be a matter of weeks before you're sub-25 if you switch now. Of course, faster at 3x3 means faster at 4x4 and up, and likely megaminx, so I think learning the advanced method would be a good use of your time.

  • I learned how to do a 3x3 last night and now the fastest I can do it is 4:02 pretty happy I don’t know why but now I can’t stop doing it it is very entertaining and fun
