Who is Ken Jennings? Maybe Matpat will get a chance? Also it does make sense if Rebecca does get a try. She's got experience with What the List 😉😉 so it wouldn't surprise me she does well. Where's that petition?
Mayim Bialik. I love her as an actor but mainly as a smart, funny and talented woman. I hope she is made permanent despite all of the mess that is going on now.
Hard to decide between Ken Jennings, Levar Burton, Mayim Bialik, Robin Roberts, Anderson Cooper, & Aaron Rodgers
mayim bialik
Only recently that I hear about Ken Jennings hosting. Still rooting for his permanent spot
No he was horrible. He needs to stay with Masterminds
I was hoping Mayim would get it. Maybe they were worried she would eventually quit on them while Ken would probably host til the grave.
Ken Jennings is my top pick.
It was just announced that Ken and Mayim will be sharing hosting duties for the remainder of the 2021-2022 TV season.
Buzzy should become the full time host. Mayim can do the primetime specials as she's already been tapped to do. The head of Sony television already said in the last press release that they were planning to hire two hosts.
I love Jeopardy! and have watched it for many years. There is very little that could ever make me stop watching it, but if Buzzy became the host, I would seriously consider it. He is about the most obnoxious contestant that's ever been on the show.
I want Buzzy or Rodgers
@@somecripple4126honestly I feel that way with Ken Jennings currently being a full time host he doesn't have that same charisma as Alex did the humor would be way better with buzzy imo and his voice is more clear
"some fans were bothered by Levarr's vigor" He's an actor.
He's also fruity.
It's a mistake a lot of actors turned hosts make. Overdoing the energy to the point it feels fake. I honestly think Levar put too much pressure on himself and overdid it.
Buzzy should be at #1, since he’s the best host and everybody loves him.
I didn't see his episodes. U think I thought they were still doing repeated
@@kershabeaver3312 they reran the tournament of champions right before they started showing the new season.
Ken should be #1 and Buzzy should be #2. Mayim shouldn’t have been near the top
Honorable mention: April 1, 1997. Pat Sajak hosted an episode for a day while Alex hosted Wheel of fortune same day.
No one will beat Alex Trebek in my mind.
True but he died and life must go on
Nope they will never replace. He was one of s kind.
True but the show must continue. Alex Trebek would be disappointed if they canceled the show
@@braxtonpierce8768 indeed
Art Fleming
Love to watch Jeopardy with ken J. every single time. He has all needs to replace Alex. I am glad he is the Host of Jeopardy.. Very smart. Great job.
Ken Jennings #1, Buzzy Cohen #2, & David Faber #3
I think Mayim or Buzzy would make great hosts. Plenty of "nerd cred" for both of them, and they did a fantastic job as guest hosts. Entertaining but understated enough to keep the focus on the contestants instead of on themselves. Alex Trebek always said the contestants, not the host, are the real stars of the show, and I hope whoever they pick follows that same mindset.
Mayim is terrible and Buzzy is forgettable. Ken Jennings will see you out to your car.
@@trinoxy2711not really ive watched a ken jenning jeopardy 1 episode he is nothing like alex and honestly his charisma is mediocre smart yea but charisma isnt great honestly
Number two, Dr. Mayim Bialik.
Don't forget! LeVar Burton is also Kwame in Captain Planet.
*_Some people he has BAAAAAD sense of humor._*
Cohen, Couric, Rodgers, and Jennings.
The only one I disagree on this list is Katie Couric it wasn’t watchable when she was on
ken Jennings should be the new host of Jeopardy! he's made for that show
Mayim Bialik, Buzzy Cohen, and Anderson Cooper were my favorites (with Mike Richards struck out). LeVar was actually terrible - whether it was nerves or just an inability to match the hype, he just dropped the ball too many times and stumbled in the gameplay. Plus, as others said, at age 63, he’s just not the right choice for Sony if they are looking for a long term replacement and not have to repeat this fiasco in 10-15 years.
Well…you won't find Mike Richards on this list. Haha.
Here is the list Mike Richards would be on, top 10 people I would like to feed to a shark but won't because it would cause the shark to much pain
I would have loved to see Will Ferrell or maybe Kermit the Frog hosting “Jeopardy!”
I honestly thought Faber was by far the best of the candidates to succeed Trebek.
Faber did a good job but he doesn't interact with the contestants the same way someone like Ken Jennings does.
I agree I would have voted for Faber as well.
If you haven’t already, you should do the Top 10 or 20 Wins on Jeopardy!
Can already see #1 going to Ken Jennings though
@@evanblack8642 James would be number too and this new guy Matt would be in top 5
Amazing
Some fans were bothered by Burton's animated vigor? No shit. He was loud, over the top and trying way too hard. Also, isn't he in his mid-60's? Jeopardy will drive away a lot of long-time fans when/if they bring in Burton full-time!! I agree with what others have said. Buzzy would be much better.
Ken Jennings is on the top #1 syndicated version host! Mayim Bialik is on the top #1 primetime version host.
LeVar Burton is a great choice and my vote as a host. Mayiam Bialik was amazing in her own right as host. Ken Jennings knocked it out of the park. Honorable mention to Aaron Rodgers who surprised me.
Man I thought Alex would live forever.
Why was Brad Rutter never given a guest host opportunity? He is the all time Jeopardy! highest earnings winner, readily defeated Ken Jennings in two tournaments, and has an acting background. He's the perfect candidate, but was never even given a guest hosting job.
Plus he hosted and produced a local game show: "Inquizitive". Also Alex Faust and Laura Coates since Trebek had specifically named them as potential successors. Laura even reached out to the producers and they turned her down. 🤔
Without a doubt, Ken Jennings
Been waiting for this
Brad Rutter really should have been given a chance though. I actually liked Dr. Oz and Sanjay Gupta, but a lot of people don't agree with me on that statement.
Dr. Oz....I thought he was awful. But curious what made him stand out to you?
I’m surprised they never had Neil deGrasse Tyson on the show
I think he stated that he wasn’t interested
@@AtWordsPoeticthat's true. He said he thought he could do well but wasn't interested "in this lifetime" unless he could be cloned.
gerry wilson forgot some of hese people but all deserve to be remembered as this is not an easy job and those who criticized mayim shoild've kept their views to themselves as i doubt they could've done the job better
Nice
Don’t forget Joe Buck, George Stephanopoulos, Bill Whitaker, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Katie Couric and executive producer Mike Richards.
They just didn’t crack the list…since they weren’t the top by any stretch.
What is "I haven't watched Jeopardy in decades & I agree with this list, most of all where LeVar Burton is ranked"?
I think Aaron Rodgers was #1 IMHO. He had charisma and had a great sense of humor. I do wish James Holzhauer had a shot at hosting.
Are you serious? Was he even awake for his episodes? The guy was a total dud. The only reason to have him host anything is if what you want is something to fall asleep to. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but I disagree completely with your assessment.
I want James Holzhauer to still be a contestant
Why wasn't the permanent host, Will Farrell cosplaying Alex Trebek?
This is not Comedy Show!
My two cents: David Faber: competent but corporate. Savannah Guthrie: Too chirpy, a la daytime-y. Robin Roberts: Surprisingly fun and engaging but her character and celebrity may draw too much attention away from the contestants and towards her. Dr. Sanjay Gupta: He ticks all the boxes but there's something understated about his performance which I'm not sure will improve over time. Aaron Rodgers: Too dry and lacks character. Anderson Cooper: See Robin Roberts, above. In addition, Cooper doesn't _feel_ like a Jeopardy host. Buzzy Cohen: Immediate like. Charming, geeky (in all the best ways) and charismatic, without going over the top. Mr. Personality, indeed. Ken Jennings: Technically, he deserves the gig but, at the moment, Jennings feels 'mousey' in his performance. Also, just because you _played_ a million times doesn't qualify you to be a host. However, I believe he will grow into the role and he will become a Jeopardy treasure should he land the hosting duty. Mayim Bialik: Love her. Just the right amount of pep, energy and spirit, plus authentic (you _believe_ she's a fan of the show) and a great complement to the guests. LeVar Burton: The male version of Bialik: bright, cheery, knowledgeable, and, of course, he's LeVar Freaking Burton! But what notches Burton above Bialik (but just a notch) is Burton radiates a child-like wonder and fanboy persona that's cozy and infectious. So top three, for me: Buzzy Cohen, Mayim Bialik and LeVar Burton at number one by a gnat's hair over Bialik. Just my opinion.
This didn't age well.
I love the fact that they gave levar the #1 spot I think he did great and deserves more than a week to try out since most of the early hosts had 2 weeks
It should have been buzzy
good video watch mojo is a great channel
Just waiting for MatPat to become the permanent host. I'd like to watch Jeopardy again.
jeopardy seems a like game show
Let's settle this and offer Matt Amodio the job.
I love Matt as a contestant. I want him to still be a contestant and have jokes with Ken Jennings.
Can you do a versus video between the two planets DC Mogo and Marvel Ego the Living Planet?
My favorites were... Katie Couric, Robin Roberts, Anderson Cooper, Mayim Bialik, and LaVar Burton.
What about buzzy
Yeah what about Buzzy? Buzzy and Ken were the best
0:04-0:05
In my opinion, Levar Burton should have been #7 or 8. Top 3 are 3. Aaron Rogers 2. Mayim Bialik 1. Ken Jennings
Thank you. Somebody actually watched the shoes!

@@FleaRHCP97 good luck to your Bears
@@samuraibeastwarrior2886 I thought he was hilarious and very good. And I’m an Eagles fan. 😂
Is so weird that Alex Trebek is gone. He’s been the LONGEST game show host as long as I’ve watched Jeopardy. I haven’t seen a single episode of Jeopardy recently, Alex Trebek WAS the host to the show and made Jeopardy into what it is today. There was even a computer game that had Alex Trebek’s voice in it.
Just FYI, Bob Barker is the oldest ever full time host of a game show at 83 (when he finally retired) but I think Alex just edged him out for most episodes hosted of a single game show and also in years hosted, Bob did the price is right for 36 years, For Alex it was 36 years and I think about 2 months on Jeopardy.
I wonder if James Holzhauer would be a guest host?
There were Hosts that did not have an artificial facade. Those would be: Robin Roberts, Ken Jennings, Aaron Rodgers (May be spelled Rogers). Alex Trebek was a real personality. He did not try to be something else.
I agree there were hosts who felt fake but I disagree with those names. I would say Dr. Oz, Mike Richards, Savannah Guthrie and George Stephanopolous fit that description.
Ken Jennings or LeVar Burton
Ken Jennings is better. LeVar was terrible.
#1 Hulk Hogan
If you ask me, Rogers couldn’t have seem less interested in hosting if he tried.
That's why they fired him and rehired Ken.
Oh Rogers wanted the job BADLY! His fiancée was saying he would spend entire days watching jeopardy, studying Alex and write notes, the producer also said he asked more questions than anyone. Plus during his stint he covered the podium with notes like "Energy!" "Stand straight" "say "correct" and jokingly "don't pick your nose/butt" (😅). He did great I thought but was just a little too dry IMO. He definitely has potential as a TV host once his playing days are over.
@@marcpower4167 I agree in that he has potential for some other TV hosting gig in the future, but he definitely needs a lot more enthusiasm.
I heard about Dr. Sanjay Gupta hosting.
LaVar Burton has my vote! 👍
Lol honestly why??? He wasn't great at all!!!
Aaron Rogers
I love beautiful are voice
My fav was Arron rogers
But you don't have to take My word for it.
I’m addicted to LeVar Burton Reads! The man is, to paraphrase Ryan Reynolds, a goddamn Intergalactic Treasure!!
It’s too bad Pat Sajek is so old. The one time he filled in for Trabek he killed it.
I would think NFL Quarterbacks should host jeopardy
Anderson Cooper I've heard as well. I heard he was pretty good
He was okay, but not great. They said he had the lowest ratings but that's not really a fair assessment. His 2 weeks ran against the Chauvin trial.
LeVar Burton clearly did get the hosting gig, because on his first episode(aired July 26 2021), his performance was tainted by a player named Patrick Pearce, a product specialist from Fountain View, CA. He breaks the record for lowest score ever seen on Jeopardy! which was -$7400. (previously was -$6800 held by Stephanie Hull since March 12 2015)
Actually Buzzy was the best
@@carolinelowe6304 I meant to say that he did not get the hosting gig.
@@dillonthomas1902 I was also saying that Buzzy was a much better host than he was by a mile
Hell no Buzzy should be number one on the list

I think LeVar Burton is great guy, but his hosting gig was full of awkward pauses. He even had a case of calling a correct answer wrong, and then having to correct himself. He just seemed to struggle with keeping up with the game.
Tom Hanks.
Pat Sajak
First, Rebecca, you are so bright and beautiful. It's so nice to actually see you. Also, great list. I know Alex will never fully be replaced, but Mayim is my first choice, followed by Ken and LeVar.
It'd be quicker to say who's not in the top 10.
Who is...BUZZY COHEN!!!!
Can you do comic book origin of DC's L.E.G.I.O.N(Licensed Extra Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network)?
I found it funny that there was a clue about The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air during Levar Burton's tenure because he looks a little bit like Joseph Marcell.

What is ken jennings
Could do a or few videos on Burn Notice.
I thought Bill Whitaker was most akin to Alex
Similar demeanor but he came across as robotic and he was too slow. I fell asleep watching during his stint once (no exaggeration)and I never fall asleep during jeopardy.
@Marc Power cool to have this commented on a year later. I think they ended up making the right choice(s)
It's unbelievable that anyone thinks Aaron Rodgers was a good Jeopardy! host. I mean, to be fair, I'm not sure he was awake, or even alive, during his stint, so he had that as a disadvantage.
Ratio
I thought he did okay considering he's never done anything like that before, But it's just his voice is very monotone and he has a very dry personality.
The philosophy of the rich and the poor is this: the rich invest their money and spend what is left. The poor spend their money and invest what is left"
How many millionaires do you know who have become wealthy by investing in savings account? I rest my case.
Investing in today is priceless because tomorrow isn't promised, trading Bitcoins, gold, silver and crypto secure a better Tomorrow.
It's not how much money you keep, but how much money you make, how hard it works for you and how many generations you keep it for.
When money realize that's it's in good hands, it wants to stay and multiply in those hands, if you really want to make points out of money you ve got, you have to take it out of your saving account
I understand the fact that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, but investing today is a hard thing to do because I have no idea of how and where to invest in?
No. Anderson. Cooper. Yes. Mr. Burton👍

Exactly. Nobody over 30 knows who that is.
The eye visor from Star Trek would do well with Burton. He would look great.

He wants to be THE host
@@goonerOZZ yep

@@emilyh2190 he's not a video gamer though...

still like Mayim the best so far
My money would have been on Mike Richards OR Ken Jennings, but...yeah. LeVar Burton got done dirty because A: he only guest hosted for a week as opposed to every other guest host's two, and B: his episodes aired during the Olympics. Buzzy Cohen would be my second pick after LeVar Burton
A is false, so stop spreading it. Four other guest hosts also had only one week.
Aaron Rodgers > Mayim Bialik
Well all of my favorites made this top ten. But I'm going to go against the flow and say that I was not as impressed with LeVar Burton as I hope I would be. He did come off a little overeager at the start, and there were also a couple of glitches in his first game or two that interrupted the flow. That, and he was CLEARLY suffering a bigger case of nerves than any of the other hosts. That said, he did settle in and was doing terrific by the end of the week. And that brings up another issue with him, in that he only had one week to prove himself, unlike a lot of the other contenders. Plus, that week was during the Olympics! Frankly, I think he deserves another shot, during a time of year when more people are watching, and two complete taping days instead of just one. I think he'd make a fine host once he and the crew all settled down and hit the right groove.
basing it on Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent :P
I haven't been watching Jeopardy so I don't know all the guests that have been on so far. I don't have a TV where I'm at
Aaron Rodgers will be on jeopardy in the future
Interesante
Dr. Mayim Bialik should get the full job, having a woman in science on national TV every night would inspire so many new young scientists.
My favorite was Aaron Rodgers. Now I'm not so sure. I watched Ken Jennings and he was good. I haven't watched the others.
Rebecca, with that face, body and voice, you should be the host of Jeopardy!!!!!!
You are joking right? Levar is a great dude, but sucked big time on jeopardy... Did you not watch his episodes?
There is a 100% correlation between people who thought LeVar Burton was the best and people who either never watched Jeopardy before he hosted or never watched even when he did. With so many terrific options on this list alone (Roberts, Rodgers, Faber, Jennings, Cohen, Cooper, Bialik among my personal favorites), it's patently absurd that Burton was given the top spot.
I prefer Mayim Bialik, especially over Lavar Burton whom I believe is over rated.
Robin Robert's and Buzzy ranked higher in my book than Lavar.
I thought Cooper was overrated
Whenever someone misspells a name of someone they don't favour (i.e., LeVar) while spelling correctly a more difficult name (i.e., mayim bialik), said opinion usually comes with an agenda.
Why was Ken Jennings #3? He should have been #1. He’s the best. Mayim Bialik is the worst. Why was she #2?
Wow that's amazing
Mike Richards anyone? ..... I'll see myself out.
Yes he was the best one
He’s not going to be the host whatsoever because he’s already resigned
@@carolinelowe6304 He was going to be the new official host before he resigned
Nobody who actually watched LeVar Burton's episodes would rank him #1. He was terrible. On his last episode, it took him forever to tell a contestant whether they were right or wrong on Final Jeopardy. He has the right response on his card and can see what the contestants are writing in live time at the host lectern. There is no excuse for that. Mike Richards was the best guest host, in my opinion. But because Burton's Twitter sycophants have retroactively outlawed humor, the show will just have to suffer.
