Definitely dislike that they can not transition in the car, and I drive for my profession.. also, it can only read out short messages. After a certain length, the glasses will notify me of a text but say the message is long. When I ask for the message to be read out loud (because I am driving), it can not, which then causes me to just have to use my phone or watch.
100% agree, the no transitioning in the car is pretty annoying, and that’s coming from someone who does not drive as their profession haha. Ah yeah that’s another good point, the message read out overall is just not great, which is why I have it turned off on mine haha
Yes they can. You have to get the XTRAactive transition lenses. Ray ban doesn’t offer them though. Can’t wait until mine arrive.
The lenses are easy to swap out for any type you need
Oh nice! If I could get just the XTRAactive lenses that fit these frames, that would be a nice little cheat code haha

I just ordered the Ray Ban Meta Wayfarer Large Black Matte Graphite ones, they came in the box and unfortunately the case was damaged, But i returned them and iv just seen that the Transition Glasses are in stock im so happy, so cant wait to get them. I dont drive so ill wear these all the time as i like wearing glasses even just a clear lens, even though i dont actually wear glasses lol. On the plus side, if and when i get my eyes tested i can get these prescribed anyways. But these are amazing they look stylish and have so many features. And btw love your dark mark tattoo, im a harry potter collector from Scotland !!
I’m glad you were able to get the ones you wanted! I’m definitely happy I got the transition ones as well, much more use out of them haha. And that’s awesome! I watch the whole Harry Potter series at least once a year, not even kidding lol
Great video thanks 1- does it have internalory or you need your phone around to get the footage? 2- How is the livestream quality and do you still have battery after 30mn stream? 3 - Transition .. is it ok to wear always sunglasses all the time when you go out ? 4- last question (thanks if you read until here): It looks like you only need the frame to record video.. prescriptions on Rayban meta are really expensive (+350£) would it be possible to take out the lenses and ask another optician to add the prescription?
1. It does, it has 32GB, but you’ll need a phone to download and obtain them I think 2. I haven’t live streamed with them myself, so can’t speak on the quality. Also, according to google, it really only has battery for 30 minutes of streaming 3. Yes! But they are not the darkest lenses, so if you want legit sun protection, I would go with actual sunglasses haha 4. Yes! The frames are the important thing! And yes, you can get the lenses swapped out so you can use prescription lenses with them!
@@edddy41 Thank you so much for your answers ;) I still doubt between clear only or transitions. I am in London the sun isn't really strong here and I will use most of the time indoors for content and reviews. 32G should be fine too... I think I will have a go ahah thanks again

I got my transitions ones last week and one con from these is not having your shades dark when driving on a sunny day
YES! I realized that as well, it’s been rainy here in the Bay Area, so after we got some sunny days, I noticed the same!
That is a major con to me. Might as well have two glasses.

I had that one initially! I returned it and got the transition ones instead, but they just aren’t true sunglasses, so sometimes I debate getting those a second pair haha
Im not a youtuber but a quick tip, you should add chapters on every point you make. It makes it easier to see how the video is broken down and easier to go to specific points!

I bought rayban stories, just before the meda glasses came out. I retied and brought the glasses with me to the Philippines. It didn't even last 3 months. First, the audio stopped working, shortly after the video and the still shot camera. I bought the transition lens glass. It's just glasses now. Never abused or dropped them. Not very solid state tech.

Yup! I just wish they made it an option you could toggle between vs. the only thing they are optimized for.
