This time I polished Jimny genuine iron wheel until it became a mirror surface.
Unlike aluminum, steel wheels are extremely difficult to cut and have become a major task.

    • El uso Paint Striper, una espátula (plástico no araña),como 5 diferentes lijas , estropajo sintético, Mothers Metal polish. Pienso alcohol o otro limpiardor para quitar residuos para preparar para la pintura. Pintura negra de lata de presión. Pintura transparente de lata de presión (mejor usar epoxy clear). Al final (depues de una semana) una será para el ultimo brillo.

    • 11:05 Sunday Paint Lacquer Spray: Black(?) 12:00 Micchakuron Multi (paint primer) 12:15 Sunday Paint Urethane Spray: Clear(?) Perhaps they can prevent rust on porished wheels.

  • ベアメタルの上にミッチャクロンマルチ塗って ウレタンクリアでは防錆能力低いです。 室内保管ならそこそこ持つでしょうが 風雨にさらされれば一年以下で錆びが出てくると思います。 なぜならウレタン塗料と言えども ミクロレベルでは塗装面に無数の気孔があるからです。 もう一手間増やしてウレタンクリア塗る前に 防錆材の入ったクリアプライマーが必要でしょうね。 カスタムバイクの世界でいろいろ試したブログがあるので、 参考にするとよいと思いますよ。 続編楽しみにしています！

  • generally steel is only slightly polished and then it is thickly electroplated with copper. the copper is easier to polish and is then electroplated with nickel or chrome.

The only problem with this story, is that, just right after the 120 grade (so before mirror finishing, and before plating!!!) it exactly looks like a stainless steel metal surface. I mean it has completely different color. The iron never can have that color, even if you polish it forever. Geeez...

It could be, that under the painting, the Jimny wheel is not a simple steel, but some alloy, containing Nickel? I think, yes, possible. That was my question, mostly to the creator of the video, not to you, who "answered".

  • 塗料剥がすのに使ってるスケルトンって剥離剤自分も何度か使ったけどこれ皮膚につくとヤケドするのよね。けっこう危険な薬剤。私は腕までカバーするグローブ使ってました。
