    • The american hawks of the 80ies are laughing. Soviet union was over and now they are fighting on their own territory against each other, from perspective of 1985 for example an unbelievable gift.

    • У бельгийцев было около десяти убойных моментов, когда нападающий бьет в упор без помех, не считая дальних ударов и ударов в борьбе. С такой защитой выиграть ЧМ невозможно, это проходной двор какой-то.

    • В лучшем случае в полуфинал (если бы прошли испанцев, что вообще не факт). В 1/2 была Аргентина. Но момент печальный, факт. В совке не вели ночных трансляций, можно было только послушать радиотрансляцию (последние 15 минут) по Маяку. И я (тогда малой) закрылся в туалете и слушал час (концовку основного и дополнительное), а потом плакал. А вечером смотрел в записи по первой программе и надеялся, что ночью это был кошмар и небылица, а сейчас наши выиграют😀

  • A fabulous game, from a fabulous World Cup. I love this flowing, end-to-end, shoot on sight, football - so much more entertaining than the tedious, possession based, tika-taka that often passes for football today. Also, these games were played in fierce Mexican Summer heat, often at high altitude - so the level of intensity is amazing. The Soviets were such an exciting team to watch with Rats and Belanov - and Belgium had Enzo Scifo, one of the finest midfielders of all time.

  • Joder este partido es de antología sin duda, para verlo completo. Ambos equipos tenían auténticos cañones en sus filas. Una pena lo de la unión soviética, un poco más de fortuna y seguro hubiesen llegado hasta semifinales.

    • It's possible, but there's no proof. The cameras were focused on the ball, not the player. Whether it was offside or not, we will probably never find out.

  • Este partido fue brutal. Antológico. El mejor partido del mundial 1986( y hubieron muy buenos partidos). Un partido loco 😜 2 excelentes selecciones y vaya 2 porterazos: Pfaff y Dassaev. De los mejores porteros de la historia del fútbol. El arbitraje perjudicó a la URSS

  • Where on earth did you find the Canadian broadcast of this game??? I thought it was American until i heard Graham Legatt. Then I realized it was Steve Armitage commentating. That's why it sounds like a hockey game. Pretty exciting though!

  • Команда играла эпизодами. Часто пижонили. Отбор прошли на волоске от фиаско. С такой игрой в защите чемпионами не становятся. Судья ошибся- факт. Счет по ошибкам судьи 1-1.( пенальти Бельгии он придумал). Вообщем, сами во всем виноваты ☝
