I rarely see a video where a horse or pony puts its hoof down repeatedly as often as this, but this looks SO painful! Granted, I'm not a farrier... but I am a cat owner. And cats' patience levels are already in the negatives when it comes to claw trimming. 😂

  • What a sweet baby ! He was so good about touching his broken hoof. Very interested in follow up on healing. So happy you're such a good mom to try so much to make sure he was healthy. Vets are alot like "human" Dr's. Sometimes you just have to find the right one. Hope he's feeling better in no time! Good luck.

  • My understanding of horses' hooves is that, as odd-toed ungulates, they are the equivalent of the middle finger. The break in this hoof is as though the fingernail has cracked all the way up the nail bed and into the nail matrix, effectively splitting the nail in half. This horse has two half-hooves growing on one foot!
