Female fencers are not usually very tall, 1.75 is average, 1.85 is considered tall (Scary Katrina Lehis looks real giant with her 1.86). Male fencers are usually taller but they can be quite big, fat too. Notorious Meelis Loit was 120 kg.

No, well, depends on your definition of young. I started when I was 11, I’m 13 now, all you need is flexibility and fast reaction times without flinching to fake outs.
I started when i turned 7 years old, but the first 5 years were just chill, fun and games. I've taken it more seriously the last 3 years.
Can you slash in fencing?

You can flick in all weapons though which can look like a slash if you don’t know the difference
You can do whatever you want. It probably won't score points for you (in epee and foil).
