Hoffman was emotionally abusive to Meryl Streep in the courtroom scene. He taunted her about grieving John Cazale, her actor/boyfriend who had recently died, to get a tearful emotional reaction. Nasty.
Cazale was the love of Streep’s life. If what Hoffman did was true, shame on him.

I recall her saying to somebody (who wrote about it ) that Dustin inappropriately touched her breast. Following that, her representative said Dustin apologised and she accepted it. I just don't recall any interview where she claimed he taunted her in the courtroom scene using the death of John Cazale to prompt her to cry. Do you know where to find that interview? I am intrigued. I understand Meryl is a method actress too.✌️

Sir Richard Attenborough told a story about Olivier at a talk he gave at the Bsrbicon in the "80s. He said he ran into Olivier at the studio and he was despondent. He had started rehersals for The Prince and the Showgirl and he said Monroe couldn't act, she was awful, he didn't understand how she had gotten as far as she had. A few weeks later. Attenborough saw him again and asked how it was going. They had started filming. Olivier said it was a miracle, that the camera loves Monroe, and everything she does just works on screen. He said he'd never seen anything like her. So, he msy not have liked her, but he sure respected her talent.

Having Cybill Shepard and Bruce Willis, as well as Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep, be at odds on set perhaps worked to their movies' advantage, since they were playing an On/Off Couple and a divorcing couple, respectively.

I'm beginning to think Dakota Johnson is the source of her issues with co-stars. She said her younger co-stars in her recent movie "annoy" her and she delivers it all in a deadpan voice.
Johnson is not a huge star and o, if she bad mouthed ppl, she would not get all the roles she has been getting. If there were any " issues" it's that Johnson does not put up with crap. Look how she took down Ellen a while back. Johnson was very polite about not letting Ellen take the victim route. "That is not true . I DID invite you to my party. You didn't RSVP".

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. I know they didn't get along on set probably due to their differing acting styles, but Jennifer did say good things about Patrick even after his death.
That's true, I heard that they had bad blood on the set of Red Dawn as well.
I didn't know they did another movie and I only know of Red Dawn because of the Chris Hemsworth remake. Was it before or after Dirty Dancing?
Red Dawn was 3 years before Dirty Dancing and Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey became very good friends and she was heartbroken when he died. But when cast in Dirty Dancing they didn’t get along.
Wow. That's wild, but at least they were able to put their differences aside to find common ground before he died. It's been 15 years since this man died.
They didn’t get along in Red Dawn- or should I say she didn’t like him. She cried the first day of dirty dancing filming bc she didn’t want to film with Swayze. He pulled her into a room to hash it out and apologized for red dawn. She accepted and they ended up getting long, tho he frequently got a little irritated at her during filming. Normal stuff. But they did end up as friends.
A really old one was William Frawley and Vivian Vance from "I Love Lucy". They played Fred and Ethel and despised each other, especially at the beginning.
Everything ( I Love Lucy) did was just good acting.
Duchovny and Anderson had some issues during the 7th and 8th season of the X-files but they never really hated each other since they came back to their roles several times.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was in part just working with each other a lot. X-Files lasted a long time, before they brought it back for season 10/11. There's bound to be some sort of conflict over the years.

Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton hated each other while filming Twister. While filming segments for the Twister attraction at Universal Studios in the past, they can't stand being in the same set, so they were filmed separately in different locations.

Some of these are completely untrue! You’re just perpetuating rumors and bullshit! Reese and Vince are actually friends, and joked around a lot on their movie! Some of their interviews where they’re joking around about one another were completely taken out of context. Jamie Dornan and Dakota are very close! He was extremely protective of her on set. He didn’t want her to be traumatized by anything, and was always trying to keep her safe, and comfortable. Dakota and Jamie’s wife are very good friends as well!
I had no clue that Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze didn't get on off screen, though that's a testament to their acting skills. At least Grey seemed genuinely distraught over Swayze's death in 2009.

Mental health has been changing over the years. The difference is the term "alcoholic" becomes the identity of the person. Now, mental health wants people to not view themselves as the actual problem but rather as a real person with a disorder. Example: We no longer call a person schizophrenic but rather a person who has schizophrenia. A person is not bipolar but rather a valuable human with worth who has bipolar disorder. The subtle change in language offers hope that the disorder is not the identity or the life of a person, especially in recovery. It means the disorder does not have to be all the person is, and that means the person can have a manageable future. It will take time to change in society, but it gives back some dignity to a person who is struggling. The struggle is real.

I've always thought that Bogart was mis cast as the leading man in Sabrina. I liked him but he had absolutely no chemistry with Audrey unlike her other male Co stars
Jennifer Gray and Patrick Swayze had issues on Red Dawn. When they were cast for dirty dancing. The Director made the two of them go talk to each other privately. They needed to resolve whatever issue they had. Apparently they were gone for quite some time and came out in tears, but had worked everything out. There were some assumptions made by both parties about the other, and they cleared the air. That was all before filming started.

If you listen to anyone other than Alyssa Milano, they will tell you Shannen is a complete professional on set. In fact, Jason was just on Shannen's podcast talking about her work ethic and how she was going through a lot of personal turmoil during the 90210 days. Never once did he ever mention that she was was spoiled. They are still pretty close. Also, most of Alyssa's former costars will tell you SHE was the problem.
That’s true, but back when Shannen was let go from 90210, there was a video with Jason & Jennie Garth where they pretty much express glee about her departure (without actually saying it, of course). Back then, a lot of her cast mates on 90210 obviously did NOT feel the way about her that they speak of her now. It’s good though, that they were able to settle differences and let things go, especially now that Shannen isn’t in the best of health.
It's funny how under age Mila was forced to be the mean girlfriend in the show, and the after years from the show they gotten married. (P. S. Mila lied about her age when she applied for the role).

#16 was so well documented that even though it was an adult show, it was referenced in a movie that appealed/appeals to children. ... #16 is "Moonlighting" & was mentioned in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

He was supposed to be dry and wooden. It was the character. I suspect that after a while Olivier realized that Monroe had mental health issues as his late wife Vivian Leigh ( undiagnosed bipolar) did and he became more kind .
Welp, this is no different than the rest of us. We work with people we don’t like everyday. We are paid to be around people we don’t know for 8+ hours a day. And we have to get along for the work to get done effectively. That check unites and divides.✌🏿

I'm not sure who would be the perfect cast8ng for Dr. Doom. But since RBJ read for Doom way back before playing Iron Man, how awesome would it be if he came back to play that role now. If they can recast Chris Evans and Josh Brolin to play multiple characters, why can't Robert Downey Jr? Another good actor would be Adam Driver because he can play dark roles.

Maybe not in the first couple months of shooting, but eventually the baby bump would've been obvious. It's not like this was the "wham-bam, thank-you, ma'am" filming approach that the director of Donnie Darko adapted. This was (presumably) a much longer process...or am I just being too harsh on him?

I think you are being too harsh on Bronsan. He is well- known to be an excellent husband and father. No scandals . His first wife died of cancer, leaving him to raise their 2 kids. His only daughter later died of cancer. He is raising his 3 boys with his second wife, Keely. A genuine family man. I didn't show for 4 months. How could he have known if she didn't tell him? Actresses are dressed to hide the bump .

None of them, I knew about most of them penny Marshall and Cindy Williams didn’t like each other and I told my sister while watching it, she asked e how I knew and it was so obvious to me by the way they were with each other, I could just tell, I guess Bogart and Hepburn in Sabrina, never thought Bogart was small like that, it’s not her fault Lauren Bacall didn’t get the part, maybe she wanted someone else for playing Linus instead of Bogart, but I doubt it, she’s not known for being a Diva, only once did she walk off a movie and I can’t say I blame her, she sang all day trying to improve and at the end of the day , the Producer decided to go with a woman who sang for Natalie Wood in “ West side story “ and others, but she was mad that they had her sing all day, just to say…no we’ll get seemed like it was just a waist of time.
I've worked with Jason Lee, Alyssa Milano and Jason Priestly all of whom are difficult, overly privileged, egotistical Wannabe Actors, so I guess they all deserve each other 😅

Sorry. I Like Johnson. She politely took down Ellen when Ellen lied and said Johnson had not invited her to her party .(Ellen lying to play victim). Johnson never backed down, always politely. More ppl should stand up for themselves like Johnson, instead of making fake nicey- nice.

Good actors can be themselves when the director says CUT! But mediocre or lousy actors have a really tough time stepping away from the roles they're playing. Thus, antagonistic couples equals antagonistic actors.
VENOM had the writer from 50 SHADES OF GREY (who is also directing VENOM 3) MORBIUS had the writers from GODS OF EGYPT (Who are also behind MADAME WEB) And KRAVEN THE HUNTER has the writers from TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT AVI ARAD ruined everything again, just like he ruined TASM series And he isn't even involved in MADAME WEB But he is behind BORDERLANDS though
