In my opinion, Wilder has been pursuing Joshua for years because he thinks that Joshua is afraid of him. Whether that's true is another matter, but that's what he thinks. Obviously, a scared opponent is an easy one, very much like many of Tyson's former opponents. At the same time, what Wilder would never tell you, of course, is that he has been running from opponents who don't fear him and who could very well beat him. Apparently, Zhang is one of those opponents. According to Zhang's team, Zhang has been seeking to fight Wilder for years but Wilder declined. In fact, the fight was supposed to take place in March but Wilder failed to sign the contract that Zhang signed without hesitation. Wilder is only willing to fight opponents he is certain of beating and even so, he has lost a couple of times.

Wilder spent years at the PBC and they're notorious for not putting their big fighters in tough fights. And seeing as how when they do it ends up being Fury v Wilder, Crawford v Spence, Inoue v Fulton, Russel jr v Loma and so on I can see why...

I think deontay begs for criticism in his boxing skills, his ambition as a champion and much besides. But you just seem to hate on him tbh. Not a very Classy critique when you call just call him stupid. It may be true that he lacks intelligence but, you don't like him and he has that southern accent: if indeed you had a little introspection those bias would be best to preceed such opinions.... not Classy
