Old rusty cossack knife restoration. In this video, I showed the restoration of an old Cossack boot knife from the 17th century. Analogues of these knives can be found in museums. This old rusty knife was found by a metal detector in the forest. I decided to restore and save this knife. I removed the rust, preserved the old iron in a vacuum chamber. I made a new handle from an old bone. Used all original parts to restore this knife. I hope you liked my restoration.

Another miracle from ReXtorer!!! I think that museum should display your knife and have you restore their sad collection!!!! Must have been great metal to survive that long underground. You have a great eye to see the project all the way through. Well done sir!!!!
thank you!
Amazing Restoration 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thanks!
Dope AF knife, @ReXtorer. Now (if you haven't already done so) you've gotta stitch up an equally dope sheath as well!
The stories these items could tell.
Beautiful restoration mister well done
Hi mister beautiful restoration beautifully restored good job well done
Another great restoration 💖💖
Of all the videos I’ve watched, including yours, I’ve never seen so many steps taken to restore something! A vacuum chamber?!! Wow! Great job!
Thank you! The vacuum chamber helps to displace air from the pores of the metal and penetrate the tannin solution there
Wow Gracias 🥰🥰🥰🥰🤜🤛🤝❤️
Beautiful job!
You should be reported.
SATISFYING TO WATCH

Restaurada faca 🔪😉
Wow! Great job! I'll go turn the nuts too!
Really nice job 👍
hmm, opravdu moc pěkná práce
I'd be careful of spilt sodium hydroxide. Very caustic.
nice :)
Very nice result. I love what the tannin/vacuum did to the metal. I'm curious, how did you determine the ages of the knife and the bone? Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I found this bone in a World War I dump, among bottles and cans). The knife was identified by coins of 1665 and museum exhibits. Such knives were typical for the middle of the 17th century
@@ReXtorer Thank you for the quick response.
Easy: is not possible.
It was interesting 👍🏻. You seem to have a large supply of horse bones 😂.
Electrolysis is very effective

Zalecam piaskowanie i elektrolizy a nie zabawę Pozdrawiam serdecznie 🤔👍

How much time did you spend on this restoration?💙💛
I don't think they used rivot pins, in the 17TH CENTURY!
I showed a photo from the museum in the video. These are knives of the 17th century.

Work don't finish.
It was cheaper to make a identical knife 😅😅than this

Do you work for a museum?
No, but I restore some things for the museum.
Wats that black stuf in the vacuuming chamber . Wat is that doing
The vacuum pumps out the air, which reduces the likelihood of repeated corrosion
And the liquid stuf is wat doing . Yust curious
@@dutchtreasurehunterhankies1262it is a rust converter. The vacuum chamber gets the liquid deep into any openings in the metal, to help protect it.
@@capers72424 realy nice . So i need a vacuum camber then. I have so many old knifes etcetc
This guy needs to stop lying about the items he finds at flea markets

He could’ve just used a sandblaster instead 🙄
