Unfortunately both of Mr. McFarland’s personal cars that were out on the West Coast were down due to explosions happening where they weren’t supposed to happen… but he was a good sport and borrowed a buddies’ twin turbo ‘Vette to race us in instead. lmao thats what i thought "this was as close we could get to ruby or leroy, its basically the same" minus the fact that both his cars are damn near double the power
Half the horsepower, clunkier shifting trans, no sticky tires, no adjustable/dialed suspension... That vette as it sits is probably a 10 second car on a good pass at a prepped track.
Travis: “I’m still driving straight. If I’m not driving straight we have an issue.”
No matter who wins. That Flying subaru is sick💥 And so is the driver😆

@@MillionairX Hoonigan recently talked about wanting to give the Kei truck more power. Of course the Mystery Machine makes more power and automatic. Its less about who wins or loses and more about the laughs at seeing them run.

As much as all of us want to see that happen, Leroy is a prep track car. It's not going to hook up on the street like it does on the track so it's going to be slow off the line. Saying that, I'd still love to see Leroy or even Ruby on here.

@@imaguy8769 honestly rally and gymkhana is so similar the only main difference is it's purpose, rally is competition and gymkhana is for entertainment, but the gymkhana cars can do jumps and drifts just like rally cars, I think the cars are similar.
@@imaguy8769 While this car might not rally, ive seen so many videos of actual rally cars going flying off course into a lake/pond/river that it wouldn't surprise me if normal rally cars actually did have emergency air tanks in them

@@TheFrostyApe it definitely was bad timing. but back when cleeter was making the ls fest videos he mentioned having to come out to the hoonigan film shoot but i mean we all know cleet and he sent it as hard as he could before hand. made the ls fest videos super interesting but i definetly wish he would have saved the motor for this instead idk
@@_NTHN_ Leroys motor is "OK" I think what broke was actually the torque tube and something went badly wrong with the clutch which all might have ended up breaking his trans too so basically all of Leroys drivetrain minus the motor needs a repair. James motor I'm not even sure why it blew up but it did and badly and their spare engine they bought and swapped in overnight got metal through the motor so it needed a full rebuild. All and all I don't think cleetus or james wanted it to go that way or expected it and tried to make the most of it in the end.
@@tstuff1213 oh yeah no, they definitely didn’t want it to go that way that’s not what I’m saying. And at the time leroys motor was smoking a ton on decel and they didn’t want to break it any more, if I remember correctly replacing the turbo fixed that it’s just been so long since this was shot that I can’t truly remember what happened at the time, regardless I’m sure cleetus will come back with Leroy/ruby/mullet for a rematch at some point
