I get to tour the 9th-generation Toyota' Camry for 2025. It goes full-on hybrid! Here's a quick tour of the best-selling #sedan in America. In this video i show you the upper XLE trim with #oceangem paint.

I like how the infotainment screen looks well integrated into the dash instead of poking out like a tablet.
Looks more like a mid-cycle refresh than a full model update. The side profile looks identical to the old Camry.
It is. Like passat b6 and b7 in Europe 15 years ago
Then label all past gen BMWs, BENZs as facelift since they all somehow look the "same"😂
@@SH_K have you seen the new 5-series? If that looks the same to you, Lenscrafters opens at 9.
@@TheBreakfastLover have you not read what i said, go google past gen BMWs not the most recent one only😂😂 facelift my ASS
@@SH_K no, your eyes are
That shade of blue is truly beautiful. XLE trim is looking good!
TBH, I like the look of the XLE way more than that XSE. Not sure why, but it seems cleaner and classier.
I just think that the grill is severely disappointing. It does nothing for me, and while the interior matters more to me, I find it distateful enough that I just refuse to even think about buying it. I'm luckily not someone who goes for the more sporty trims of a car, and much prefer the LE or XLE trims. When I saw the reveal, I was super relieved when the better looking grill (IMO) was on the XLE.
@@myrkur8054Exactly my thoughts as well. I'm so glad there will still be a decent looking Camry.
XLE with that ocean gem color is great. I wish Toyota would offer a blue or blue grey interior to pair with it.
I definitely like the straight lines of the XLE grill better. It looks cleaner and seems to suit the overall design more.
Yup!
Yess same!!... xse maybe if grill was gloss black
🤩🤩 I'd buy the XLE in silver or brown. Still looks sporty. This gen. styling is good for another 10yrs. Best Camry design.
Needs the TRD or GR trim and hopefully if they make they just add the TRD or GR onto the XSE package
I prefer the conservative outside look of the XLE and the red interior of the XSE.
can't believe i'm jizzing over a camry but...here I am. This sounds like my new daily driver, in SE AWD trim with 17s in that nice teal metallic.
That lower grill reminds me of the Toyota Avalon. I like it.
That new ocean gem is beautiful! I’m definitely with Kirk on that!
I'm loving this color I'm looking forward to see this irl
Stunning 😍
It's ugly asf. Another recall incoming
Love the XLE! Definitely fits the vibe of this gen. Surprised not to see the shifter from the Prius in this.
Agree. The front end of the XSE looks overwrought, too busy. The XLE is just right.
I never thought I like an xle version over an xse
Me too ☺️
I love this color and this Camry design. I currently drive a Toyota Camry SE 2017 and Toyota of Bowie, Maryland having been bugging me to purchase my vehicle. I told them, I am not selling my vehicle not that I am retires with no car payments in 2023. What on earth would Toyota of Bowie think how would I get around selling my vehicle to them? Also, I live in Washington, DC where car jackings are up 104%. Driving this beautiful 2025 Camry XLE, the Seeds of Chucky (Juveniles) and criminals would car-jack me at gunpoint stealing this vehicle. You see nice vehicles like this Toyota XSE Camry will attract thieves.
XSE , most definitely !
The front I will have to get used to, but I love the rear design! It looks very handsome and elegant.
I like the XLE mainly because I like 18 inch tires. Better for winters and ride
Perfect evolution. I like it
I'm glad the front spindle has been toned down. Wish they had made available an LE for us to see. I'm sure they'll raise the price. Probably over $30,000 minimum.
A ‘24 hybrid le is $29,950 with delivery - so it won’t take much of an increase to be above 30k
@@williamfrench9973in the Netherlands a Toyota Yaris hybrid costs 30k..., starting price, basic trim......in Euro's..... . So 30k for a Camry, lucky you!!!!!
I love Hondas, in fact, I’m a proud owner of a 2013 Accord with 152K miles. However, I think this Camry will increase the sales distance between the two. Is just superior to the Accord. I don’t like the blandness of the 2023 Accord and specially the front end. I’ll be in the market for next summer and this is my top choice by far.
Personally I find the 23 Accord more visually appealing on the exterior, and even on the interior (I'd love to see the XLE in black, not a fan of the grey), but the new Camry sells me on the AWD and spare tire. The panoramic roof is great, but not necessary, and the tech is dead even. If they hadn't announced the new Camry when they did, I would have gone with the Accord. With it coming out in the spring/summer though, I will wait.
Nah. The new 2024 Honda looks like the premium mercz ,audi and benz. This one ...hmmm..Kia characteristics...
@@myrkur8054 new camry is miles better than the accord interms of interior design exterior design performance technology power comfort and more . 👍
@MyLIFEISLEGENDARY836 I do believe I said personally. Also, while the camry is better, it's far off from being "miles ahead."
@@myrkur8054 new camry has better interior design exterior design power performance technology comfort features and more obviously its miles better than any accord or its other rivals .👍
Usually i like the XSE sport design, but with this model I like the XLE design
I like the xle grill better than the xse. I wish the honeycombs were maybe smaller or less aggressive. I saw a picture of a white xse and I liked it a little better for some reason. I honestly liked the interior of the xle better as well. I would usually want a black interior but the pattern of the stitching on the material on the passenger side under the glove compartment was very nice. I would imagine it pops better in white. Curious to see what the mpg will be on the fwd and xse.
I want Camry XLE.
Great video- do you think the basic LE model will offer optional moon roof?
Wheels looks great
I'm an XLE guy. Love it!
Hello Kirk, I liked the new camry, not sure about the front led lights design and piano black in the interior though .... I have two questions .... 1. Do you think lexus ES will get similar AWD engine in near future? 2. Will there be a comeback of mazda 6 with AWD?
Great video! Please review the 2025 Toyota Corolla hybrid. Thank you so much!
Kirk, It sure looks like you got your powertrain predictions spot on!! 😉 I am hoping the rear seat headroom of the Camry has improved as the new Signia disappoints in that department. After a recent bumpy ride in a Camry SE. I hope the smooth ride of the XLE has been preserved. Finally, the move to an all-Hybrid Camry created some CAFE space for the new Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser FJ. 🤩🤩
“Created CAFE space for the new Land Cruiser” you mean, like we can bring over the LC300 or next-gen LC400 into the US now?
Easy when he got the leaks
Hoping the rear seat legroom is improved too; current gen is inferior to the Honda Accord. But it looks like a heavy refresh and not an ALL new car. It looks good but clearly derived from the current car. Think the design budget may have been reduced because sedans are less relevant now than previously.
@@RagShop1 The Accord's rear headroom is dismal. 300,000+ Camry sales per year is very relevant. With uncompetitive competitors dropping out all the time, Toyota will be banking big bucks in the sedan market for years to come.
@@rightlanehog3151 I do prefer the Camry but I still want the rear legroom improved. They reduced it for the 2018 model due to the sleek new styling that car got.
NICE JOB TOYOTA CAMRY VERY NICE NICE 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Love the front and interior of XLE but the rear XSE is better with the exhaust. No fog light?
that car looks sweet
That shifter makes you wonder about some of the future versions like TRD or GR. Can we be looking at a 6MT?
Kirk, are these the top trims in each line?
Team XLE
Excellent
Darn tootin'
Any news on when a LE or SE (or even a nightshade edition.) would be film, Kirk?
Is that a left over Avalon?
I like it in the blue a lot. Would like to see the plain LE, wouldn’t really want all the expensive options on the XLE..
Looks very good Better than accord
No plugin? Do you think the Lexus ES will have a plugin, and when will they come out with info on the 2025
Old man here. I love the smaller grill. I prefer smaller grills, less fake vents, and more rounded front body panels.
Definitely like the XSE front end better. XLE looks ok, but kind of boring. Of course, that's just seeing it on video. I might think differently seeing it in person.
Other than the headlights and tailights it's not much of a redo on the exterior. Can you confirm if their heated steering is all around or just at 10 and 2 like their current models, and does the passenger seat go down like the drivers, and which Toyota Safety sense is it?
@Kirk Kreifels: I am an old man having turned 50 this year and the XLE appeals to me.
I just can't wait until they show the price and and what you get on the l e and s models
Toyota does it again!! An all-wheel drive sedan, hybrid, heated steering wheel, heated seats, USB connections, awesome ❤❤❤
AGREED
Yeah but no more 301hp V6. Just another shitty 4cyl ugh! Guess I better hurry up and buy the 2024 XSE V6.
This looks fine. But the crown looks nicer I think. Especially the ones not in the states 😢
XSE for a look XLE for a comfort I wish Toyota ofer XSL Comfort like XLE and good look like XSE
Toyota did a great job ! It’s going to be a balls to the wall fight between this new Camry and new Project Highland Model 3. (Sorry Accord, you out) 😂
I prefer the look of the XLE both inside and out. Great job Toyota!
Love the lobster claw taillights
A very solid upgrade. I predict Toyota will have the best year of their history in 2024. So many customer focused products. They will make so much money this year.
I've always been an "elegant sleeper" fan, so XLE would be my pick for sure. Very modern and elegant for a comfortable cruiser. I've never understood the appeal of making a vehicle that isn't sporty look like a fast and furious movie, and I find that the dual exhaust on the Camry XSE Hybrid just looks goofy.
You and me both
prius is better . i wonder if there is ear buds that can emit noise canceling noise while hanging on ear without blocking ear hole, so it can be legally worn for driver . then maybe use seat cushion to minimize bumpy ride as much as you like, but many like to fee that increase perception fo speed that comes with high correlation of noise and bumpiness, with speed... i beleive sub aru wrx is shaky compared to new cars for this reason, and mx5 miata can be justified similarly.
Tnx Kirk, you're doing a great job! But no way that's a totally new car. Or am I wrong?
The next Lexus ES is going to get the same treatment. It will largely be a heavy refresh as opposed to a true next generation vehicle. Probably hybrid only with ES300h and ES500h F-Sport Performance.
What I have heard, the ES will be a new car, debute in 2025 or 2026. It will grow in size to replace ES as well as the LS... and will be build in Japan....
Which is better car between Toyota Corolla hybrid vs Hyundai Elantra hybrid? I mean quality control
The Elantra will try to suck you in with its interior, but that drive train won’t hold up as long as Toyota’s hybrid system.
My eye is drifting more to the XLE. I like that the lower grill isn’t body color, same with the diffuser. I thought I heard XLE was going to have seat memory and rain sensing wipers, where the XSE was not. Guess we’ll see once we’re able to spec one.
Are there any base cars around?
I like both front ends, but since I already drive a 2018 XSE, I’d still pick the XSE without the black roof. That Ocean Gem Blue is nice, but I still prefer the Ruby Flare Pearl that’s on my car. It’s tempting to trade in our XSE, but our monthly is a little over $200, so I think we’ll pass. Besides, we haven’t had any problems with the car.
I prefer 19 exterior with this interior
Too soon to trade! Pay they Toyota off and drive until the wheels fall off or give to your kids when they go off to college
@@2004cyrus drive until the wheels falls off lol
@@dfhhtyu3434 oh you like that one huh? My dad used to always say that and he told me the best car is a paid for car. He was NOT lying !
I think it looks fantastic! And compared to the Honda Accord this would be a no brainer for me. I am not fan of the look of the Accord.
XSE front end for me!
I like the XLE front end better. XSE sporty look? Doesn't make sense if the performance is not significantly higher. Like for example the X300 XJs. Base had around 245 hp, XJR 322hp. So the SC had the right to look more sporty.
The taillights look like one from the previous gen accord
now the new Accord can see how high the apples hang 😅
I hope they upgraded the 9 speaker jbl sound system🤞🤞🤞
Is the TOYOTA Camry xle a conservative Camry top model?😊
We just recently leased a 2023 Camry XLE AWD and my partner, who's the driver, loves the new look of the Camry and will get another XLE AWD in 2026 when his lease is up. His Camry is Reservoir Blue, so I bet he would love this new blue as well. As for me, I prefer the look of the XLE over the XSE, as it looks classier, while the sportier XSE looks like a shark smiling at you in the front. Thinking of Bruce the Shark from Finding Nemo....
XLE looks way better than the XSE… although it helps that it’s rocking that new blue paint color These “sporty” versions rarely fit the design and purpose of these vehicles… It’s not “old man” to prefer the more honest design… You’re not fooling anyone with that faux racer schtick
Does the XLE have moonroof or is that extra
Guess i'm getting old too, but i'll pick the XLE. Just want to cruise nowadays as i'm not in a rush to get anywhere.
Why wouldn't you want the smoothest ride possible on the potholed roads we endure every day? You may not be in a rush but the new Hybrid powertrain will drop 0-60 times well below 7 seconds.
Me too, but I wouldn't have even have known it was an XLE since it looks fairly modern and sporty. It resembles the slightly toned-down sportiness of the previous generation SE to me.
I like the LE grille better then then the SE, but I'm worried coming from a Honda Fit that the XLE Camry hybrid is going to be such a bore to drive.
My kids would wreck that cloth 😂. Nice car. Like the seat patterns so much better.
The update is kind of lame. I was hoping for keep the physical taq and more headroom.
I’m pretty sure at this point, all automakers are going to transition over to digital gauges sadly. Analog gauges are more expensive to make than a screen, anyway…
Might be best to wait 2-3 years until another refresh is done
By then, Camry may be gone. large majority sales are SUV/CUV. Days of the sedan are dwindling.
@@CupidStunt-fs7ie Could very well be the case, but maybe a decent SUV will come along. So far, the new KIA Sorento looks great. Maybe the newly revised Tucson will amaze, cause the RAV4/CRV hasn’t done much for me.
Where's the camry GR?
XLE preference.
WAY better than the other you showed last night. I like this one inside and out. That XSE is a disaster to me. So I'm glad they did something right and did not destroy the Camry.
I have a 2023 Camry hybrid with panoramic roof
Is BSM standard on 'all' trims? That was my issue with the 2023 Camry and the 2024 Camry. Without BSM standard, I won't buy either of them.
Yes
Thanks for the first-look Kirk. I'm so confused as to how Toyota product planning chooses to equip these two new vehicles. You have the upscale Crown Signia, but it's missing the HUD as well as the Traffic Jam Assist that are both available in the Camry. What gives? Those are both important features to me but I can't have them if I want the wagon? And while I'm complaining, what's up with the Signia getting a 4th generation hybrid drivetrain vs the 5th gen in the Prius and now this Camry? Is it just a matter of the 4th gen can generate 240 hp vs the 5th gen? Even further confused now. Maybe you could ask someone assuming you're still at the L.A. car show? Thank you very much.
All that gloss black inside and the cloth trims on the seats, dash, and doors is a deal breaker for me
You like your presentation but you really have to work a lot to develop good sense of lighting.
Like the more aggressive grill. However the lack of color interior choices is bothersome. Hope they offer a brownish/beigeish interior. Hate the shiny black detailing on the interior....like a buick.
XSE looks better. One pedal driving? Needs hatchback. Lexus version? Plug in?
We want crown Sport in north america
I like the XSE front, but I don’t like the grill. Maybe in a different color it will look better. I love the interior over the previous generation. I really disliked that curve thing they were doing. For me XSE looks the direction to go.
Hallelujah. The XSE looks great for everything except the grill. While the previous gen left me a dislike and/or indifference towards the exterior, I hated the the interior for the curve thing they had going on. The new gen does look a little weird, but in a good way. I personally will go for the XLE simply because I like the grill better and I don't care whether or not the car feels more sporty.
I like the xle grill but if the xse grill was black that would be my choice.
Toyota are knocking it out of the park recently. Kirk your B-Roll + Music are the best!
I'm glad they're going away with the frameless bumper with more bumper and Grill
Any signs of seat position memory?
There is on the new gen. It’s confirmed
On the XLE trim.
When a new generation car comes out the first year or two don't buy it whait until the recalls pass by then get the best one I doubt the quality with hybrid engines I rather stay with my 2020 camry
I've never been a fan of the Camry, I'm still driving 03 4Runner Sports Edition V8.
Kirk, is the xle passenger dash material like softex or suede like? How about the XSE? I used to prefer the se/Xse looks but I agree the xle is the one I prefer this go around. I’m also almost 40. Haha.
XLE in silver with black interior
Much prefer the XLE grill over the XSE, and in general. I do like the sporty look of the XSE interior but it absolutely doesn't fit on a 2.5l hybrid, that's just ridiculous.
Nope! I have been sitting waiting for it. I am excited by the hybrid only powertrain. It was a good decision for the Camry, so I am glad Toyota did it too. But I am not happy with that body style of the new Camry. Frankly, except for the front and the back, it looks like the old Camry. I was so hoping they'd get rid of the wide mouth grills, but they just made it worse. The difference is before the XLE style was my favorite. now with the new body the XSE style becomes the preference. I was waiting to decide, which to buy Camry and Accord. Now, they are both just boring looking, at least on the outside. Mazda 6 (I have a 2015 now), where are you? If it were hybrid, I'd buy a revised Mazda 6 in a minute. Stop, I jumped the gun. I do like the Accord's interior (body also bland), maybe the new interior will help me gulp down the new Camry.
