I never knew he was dealing with something like this. I am also legally blind in both eyes, but mine is retina and can't fixed that easily, but anyway... I'm so happy his vision is better and improving with time. Always been proud of him, as he's always representing our culture. Mabuhay Allan!

UP DA AP. I hope you get to read this because you got our family's respect and gratitude. My father was forgotten by many Filipinos after he died, 1997. He made so many people happy because that was his life. About 5 yrs. ago, my mom kept a very small clipping of an interview with Ap de Ap in Manila. We are here California, she told I 'm going to show you something u wont believe. So I read the interview he was in the Philippines. Q. Now your staying here for vacation, is there anything u would like to try doing, that you have not done. Singing is no.1 what would be your next best thing to do? Aps reply. I want to try acting, as a comedian like the legendary "CHIQUITO", I want to the comedian for all ages I ve been his fan since I was a young boy in Pampanga. Ap u might have not met your idol and share your comments to him, His wife Vilma Pangan and his Children with their families are your admirers not only from your singing, we admired u from the acknowlegement to a person who cared so much to bring laughter and happiness to the public. We never expected a very famous figure in the Philippines and member of very famous band in the US still remembers and was the first person who gave a personal tribute and appreciaton to my fathers dedication to his audience. I know if his still alive you will be his idol thats for sure!!!

Because he got 2 types of problems. 1 is near sightedness and 1 is rapid movement of the eyes. Contacts will only solve near sightedness.
Why couldn't he just use contacts ? Anyways I'm soo proud of him , one of the most inspirational ppl out there :)

so it fixed his vision and he can see,but he still has nystagmus or did it fix nystagmus too?
He will still have nystagmus-this is a neurological condition and can't be corrected 100%

Semi Sweet986 i realise u asked this 8 month's ago, yes they remove the eyes natural lense and pop in the artificial man made lense very commom simple procedure like a cataract removal its surprising he hasn't had this done earlier in life
My son has nystagmus too but as much as I know, it can't be cured.
We have the same eye problems
