I think Usman is the key to determine who wins this. Criticize Jorge’s first fight with Usman all you want but it was still Jorge that couldn’t stop Usman from controlling the clench and holding him against the cage which clearly shows a lack of skill. Usman wouldn’t have been able to do that against Colby. Usman also knocked Jorge out cold but only managed to break Colby’s jaw but not knock him out in 10 rounds together. My MMA math says Colby wins this.

I think Colby wins by lay and pray too but Usman landed a cleaner shot on Jorge
Colby took a lot of damage and punches in both of their fights. Masvidal got hit with one clean punch but left both fights with very little strikes landed on him.
Usman fights clean but one dimensional. Jab, hook, body punch etc. Masvidal is very slick and creative with his striking and if Colby decides to strike with him, all of you are in for a rude awakening.

Im a Masvidal fan and i really did think he had a good chance at taking the belt from Usman…Colby as well if im being honest, buuuuut my boy Jorge does have 15 Ls….it’s a little cringey listening to a fighter that i like, pretend like he’s better than he is. It also makes me feel better watching fighters who are laser focused the week leading up to a fight instead of cocky and goofing around, i mean i understand you gotta stay relaxed leading up to a fight and all but it almost seems like Masvidal isn’t taking this as serious as he should.
