About Danheim:
Danheim is a Nordic folk/Viking inspired project from the Copenhagen-based Danish producer Mike Olsen, a man with 8 years of experience in electronic and ambient music - focusing on Nordic Folk, Viking age inspired music and atmosphere with a certain nordic authenticity. The release of his first debut album titled, “Munarvagr” have gathered around 4 million streams in one year. The second album "Mannavegr" was released November 1, 2017.
Danheim's music is dark yet melodic, intense yet authentic. While drawing strongly from nordic pagan culture and his Danish heritage, Danheim's sound is ultimately deeply rooted in ancient Scandinavian folklore and Viking inspired lore and stories.

Ancestral root music is not scary it just is..Listen to the drums..If you connect to them it will bring you into a trance eventually. All tribal people knows this. I myself as you can see on my surname is an Swede, an norse ;)

    • You might be right, I am not sure if i have connections to the vikings or to the norsemen.. I'm mostly Russian by ancestry and abit ukrainian so maybe there's a slight chance that I do have norse\viking roots but there is something about this music that makes me feel really concentrated and down to my own spirit. I feel like I have something in common with the norsemen because I love their culture and their ways, I was never connected to any tribal\folk music as much as I am connected to their music.

It set my mind to be calm but ready for the maximum pain out of which life comes. All the proper emotions were gathered, unnecessary were removed, and the rest was cerebral. And I had a boy, I belive each one has to have a warrior inside.. it was perfect. I did get a strange look from the nurses, since I had a small dim light and this playing..lol

  • We all have a tribal history in our ancestors. For some, the journey back is longer than for others, but it is part of being human. They saw violent times, that is true of most, but they also built trade between people and started a process long ago to link people together. Perhaps the biggest crime against humanity is the crime of forgetting our past. Sometimes it is horrifying, sometimes it is powerful, sometimes it is amazing. Each and every one of us has a responsibility to remember those who came before us. That is where immortality is found, in remembering and honoring our past while discovering that we are one species who shared many experiences, many dreams, and face many obstacles. We may find among our lines in distant past came peoples who knew only hate for one another. We are proof they overcame it. Think of this, be you Aboriginal peoples of any continent or great travelers who left their homelands behind, the challenges, the love, the needs were pretty much the same. Expand our minds and close the gaps!

    • Now that's what i'm talking about ! And that's where you make the difference between societies/communities exploring their past, assuming the mistakes, honoring the culture of both their elder and youth, and those who idealize, politicize and select their (H)istory in order to look toward the future solely, on their terms... Shame on them, truly, for building it with artificial materials, they'll end up having none...

He was 16 yrs young, and just had the sweetest heart. been in tears off and on (seems like mostly on) for the last few days, as everything around me is reminiscent of him, and I keep expecting to see him, esp in the morning when I wake up a little and remember that he is not around, nor will I ever see him again. sorry I need to vent a little my heart needs to heal,and I must put my feelings/heart out there in order to attempt to heal the slices and gouges that i feel.

I listened with free hospital earphones plugged into my phone, bear in mind out of coma, been in another world in my coma, still poorly, still spaced out, still unable to walk, unable to reach arms to own head to brush hair, unable to tell the time, music was a huge part of my recovery fight and this whole sound track had heart beat machinery sounds in it to me at the time, it was life force, alive and took me on a completely absorbed spaced out journey in my mind and around me visually in the reality.

Europe's original inhabitants are all extinct races of prehuman, some of which (Neanderthal) mated with their human colonizers. Most humans are themselves not fully human, but in fact Neanderthal-human mixes, which includes everyone from Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas.

      @fartkerson@fartkerson4 жыл бұрын
    • @@HA-gu1qk It's not an argument, it's a fact of reality, not a justification for war. I never said this is a good thing. It's your interpretation to assume I'm justifying the intrinsic evil of reality. Like if I said one day everything in the known universe would peter out into an accretion disc, you'd be mad at me for justifying homicide. My argument was in fact an attack on all nations. For example, Mexico, China, Vietnam, England, Iran, India -- they all have indigenous and lower classed people that suffer at the hands of the colonizing ruling class peoples. America is not the only nation to punish their indigenous peoples into the 21st century. The Picts in England were genocided and England's first colony, Wales, will never be free. The ruling classes of India and Iran are also problematic, as are the Northern Vietnamese and Cambodians who conquered the Chams people, who suffer to this day despite your ignorance on the topic. My problem is that the United States is almost always the sole focal point for indigenous people's rights to the point that we overlook every other nation in the world that has and continues to exploit them. The U.S. takes a lot of blame, as it should, but so should every other nation. Isolating human rights issues to one nation or one conglomerate of ethnicities is a bad methodology and sad fact of reality. You'll only ever be aware of what is popularly conceived as the problems in this world.
