My dad went to Kazakhstan a few years ago to help lead a joint Geneva convention training conference with the Kazakh military (my dad is US army).. he said he enjoyed every minute being there and pretty much hired a taxi to take him all over the capital city of Astana .. i remember receiving selfie after selfie of my dad as he toured the city lol.. he lamented the fact that his fellow English, French, and Belgian colleagues wouldn’t leave the hotel to explore.. After watching your vid I believe I have to travel to Kazakhsthan. What a beautiful country.
You should! Especially the southern part around Almaty
In this just-passed spring of the current year, I embarked on a land journey to a country that has long been on my must-visit list - Kazakhstan. I have always been intrigued, reflective, and expectant about the cultural and natural wonders of this land. The place I stayed this time was Almaty and its surrounding areas. Here, I witnessed the delicate fusion and collision of nomadic civilization, Islamic culture, and the legacy of the Soviet era. Strolling through the streets of Almaty was one of the most enjoyable aspects of this journey. From Dombra players to accordionists, I constantly stumbled upon melodies played by street musicians. The trees at this latitude, apart from their tall and lush characteristics in spring, are even more magnificent in their widespread distribution across this relatively vast and sparsely populated region. Compared to other places, the squares here are opulent, and the pedestrian streets are astonishingly numerous - perhaps a harmonious match bestowed upon this vast country by the heavens. The setting sun cuts across the vast expanse of the sky adorned with towering trees, and pleasing melodies waft through the air. Sitting on a bench along one of the countless pedestrian streets, every second feels like pure relaxation. Driving on the roads here, I gained a new understanding of road trips - the point-to-point distances, time, and physical exertion are infinitely expanded. In exchange, a more diverse range of natural landscapes and broader vistas unfold before my eyes: from deserts to grasslands, from steppes to coniferous forests, from mosques to Eastern Orthodox churches; the scenery along the way is ever-changing, while the omnipresent Tian Shan mountain range remains constant.
I'm from Morocco. I love this country ND I hope to visit it one day🙏

When the Kazakhstani capital was moved, it replaced Ottawa, Canada as the second coldest national capital. The coldest capital city is Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. However, the warmth of the people of Mongolia and Kazakhstan make up for the coldness of the climate.
Astana has one of the sharpest temperature drops after summer. When I spent a week in Astana in early September, it was still around 32° Celsius every afternoon and around 20 something at night. Then in October I heard it started to have slightly negative temperatures at night. This winter temperatures apparently went down below -28°C! Which is common to some extent during winter for Astana..

Indians come here to study. In my town they study at medical college. I liked Indians . They are polite, friendly and smile always. ❤ Russians who ran from mobilization in their country look closed, serious and never smile. Some of them don't like Kazakhs I feel racism.
@@Zhalghas-YZYou'd be surprised that a lot of Indians are very fair. I come from the Malabar region of Kerala and most women in my caste are indeed fair, including myself (though I am half-Russian). Don't contribute to biggotry. Indicating that dark skin is bad is being racist and uneducated. I don't know why you people along with Indians praise White skin like God when that is the same color of those who are discriminatory towards you in the Western World (I live in the United States). Makes no logical sense. You people are aware, too, that Whites are EXTREMELY prejudiced towards Muslims, right? That's why Muslims here in the States can't find friends easily. If you don't want to hear it from me, ask my friends from Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Azerbaijan, and other Islamic countries. They'll tell you. I as a Hindu have respect towards Muslims -- at least do people like me a favor and consider that govt. or a large population doesn't necessarily equal all people.

@@hellonoitsfine9681 Learn how to read. My point was that person who deleted his comment was being ignorant and bringing race into the picture. That is, he was firstly talking like fair skin is superior, and secondly that "everyone" in India is dark, when that is not true. I am FROM India, I know my own people, lol. I wasn't saying anything about Kazakhs, and Kazakhs mostly consist of Muslims, which is true. The point is when you go to Western countries, you will obviously be discriminated if you are a Muslim. If you don't believe that, then come to the USA. So it makes no sense to worship the color of the skin of the same people who discriminate you. At least be friendly with your fellow Asians and people from your own continent. The guy who wrote the comment against Hindus was a Muslim and it was very obvious that his bias was because of tensions between Hindus and Muslims. And wtf, South Indian? Dude, I AM South Indian, LOL, that is why I commented about Hindus. Like dang yo... learn how to read.

This is a great travelogue. I have visited Kazakhstan many times. In the heat of the summer and (very) cold of the winter. It's the coldest I've ever felt, -54C. People joke that it is the land where F meets C (-40 degrees on both thermometers). Largest in Central Asia, sure. It’s also 9th largest in the world. The discussion of the museum in Kagakanda should remind us of what is still possible and happening on the other side of the border. Astana is beautiful no doubt, but it lacks personality, sterile, like so many other newer, fabricated cities, Emerald City. In Almaty you can feel the city's personality. It's older architecture is quite nice (similar to Bishkek KG to the southwest). The food is very good although I could never get myself to eat horse meat having own 3 horses as a kid. Not judging, I just couldn't do it. Central Asia is a region of five countries each with their respective charm and personality. Watching a video like this gives you good insight.

I spent over 3 years in an orphanage on the outskirts of Sayram, Kazakhstan.. I was between 9 and 12 during World War 2. I was almost always hungry. Before that, we lived in Madani, a Kazakh village on the edge of the Akh Su River. The magnificent Tien Shan mountains were always in view. But I and my family survived. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Thats crazy. And here u are!
@@liamneslind5708 My job was to jump on young donkey every morning and ride down on rocky road to the Akh Su river for the donkey to get his daily drink of water. The donkey was so sweet.
@@Opoczynski you must be over 80 years old now sir!

I had DNA test done and it was almost completely predictable, but the last thing I expected was to have Kazakhstani DNA. It's a very small percentage, but it made me pay attention for the 1st time in my life to that part of the world.
Kazakh dna
There is no such thing as kazakh or kazakhstani dna..nations do not have particular dna whatsoever, it’s utter nonsense.
Чарующая природой страна, где бескрайние горы, степь, будоражит такая красота мой прекрасный Казахстан❤❤❤❤❤
I had no idea that this country was so modernized, thank you for sharing this beautiful country with us! I think this is somewhere I'd like to visit very much someday
Visit Almaty. There are so kind people there. Girls are beautiful and stylish there. I think Kazakh girls are the most beautiful in Asia. A sort of mix European and Asian races.
I m from Kazakhstan 🥰 Welcome to Kazakhstan
Kazakhstan looks so developed and seems like a great place to live. Best wishes from Himachal, India.
We have many indian students here. All of them very hard studying people👍🏻
