  • Dimitrov is my absolute favourite player. No nonsense, no antics, no screaming, no silly prolonged fist pumps (like most players do now) while looking at their box after every point won. It's just one freaking point and they act like they won a set or something big. This guy is the consummate pro.

    • True, I'm not really hyped about any of the young guns, yeah Carlos is amazing to watch but he is also annoying in his celebrations and off court he is very bland, Sinner is just, meh, after Djokovic retires I thought I wouldn't want to watch tennis anymore. But being a lifelong Federer fan, I'm taking an ever bigger liking to Grigor.

    • I'd love that to happen but I don't think Zverev is a good match up for Grigor and it will be very difficult to replicate this level anyway. I think he goes out next round but then I thought he'd lose to Carlos so don't trust me. Whatever happens It's good to see him playing like this. Hes been quietly improving over the last 6 months and could have a great season.

  • Alcaraz's current weakness is his serve and Dimitrov does a great job taking those second serves early and attacking! Dimitrov was also much more agressive overall and wasn't afraid to go at Carlos's forehand with a cross court counter or inside in. Excellent strategy and execution!!

  • I'm so proud of dmitrov cuz he beat hurkacz desperately in order to beat alcaraz easily. He finally finds his actual shape just like what he used to be in 2017. Remember my message to him when he lost to djokovic in the final of paris masters 2023? if djokovic isn't around, i'd like him to keep consistent like this and learn from djokovic's way to keep his great shape until even 37 years old so that he will be able to multiply his achievement for the future.   • Got to give Grigor his due.. Amazing performance . Everyone is surprised coz they packed the stadium to watch a routine win by Carlos. But GD came to play. I mean really play. His BH and serving were superb.

  • It was absolutely amazing. Dimi showed the game against the top that everyone expected from him 8 years ago) when they compared him with Roger. It was super cool to see such level and stability. Insanely beautiful tennis played by him. I directly imagined how Federer in his best years would have beaten Carlito in exactly the same scenario.
