Still can't believe Ryan died first.
I know I was honestly shocked about that for some reason.

But muh Jake Gyllenhall
i think he wanted this to happen so he can go back to being deadpool and being himself again

I know the fact Calvin got to earth is tragic, but I honestly I felt more bad for Miranda as she was helplessly being sent into deep space with absolutely no hope of being saved

At least it's really easy to end it.

But she could’ve easily explained from the very start. Her mission was to make sure that thing never made it to earth. Had that been the case they wanna follow protocol to not retrieve the shuttle when it clearly was off course.

So it is "Alien" meets "The Thing" with a bit of "The Blob" and "Gravity" thrown into the mix.
The Thing? Where are the elements of "The Thing"?
Feline Fatale in was thinking the the blob and alien. I didn't get the thing from it hmmm🤔
Feline Fatale Also sort of reminds me of The Visitor-a creature that eats others in order to adapt. The Visitor changes its shape, Calvin changes its size.
Not really "Gravity"
Feline Fatale word thats the first thing that came to my mind😂😂😂
The real reason it killed everyone is because it didn't liked the name Calvin.
It went to look for the one who came up with the name 😂 Holy shit, hide your kids

Calvin: I WANTED TO BE CALLED VENOM
Or he want his name to be Valak

We just saw this movie yesterday and had two theories: -Calvin is not martian, but he's the reason Mars is a lifeless desert. -Calvin caused the malfunction that unpressurised the atmosphere in the chamber and was pretending to be dormant when they were poking him with the electric stick.

I think a highly quarantined lab in space handling biological experiments would have an isolated fire suppression system from whole space station.
At least now it will LOL
Normally Quarantine labs are isolated....and definitely detachable from the whole structure in case things go wrong ! Calvin is America..Calvin is the west !
Maybe radical Islam, but not the West, nor America.
+Edvard Johansson Do you know anything about American history and how it undoubtedly overthrew dozens of governments in order to impose a candidate (or dictator) that would follow what the US told them?
It should've had a lab that is capable of fully detaching itself to the station, or have an advanced defense system e.g. fire or ice. They had "firewalls" in place but obviously the characters in the movie screwed all that up.
I always liked the theory that Calvin is the reason mars is lifeless, like either he evolved there and slowly destroyed it or he arrived on a comet etc and after eating literally everything there he went dormant again
And shrunk? Cuz Everytime he consumes something he grows. If he had consumed all of mars wouldn't it be much bigger?

Turns out Calvin can't swim and drowned almost instantly after leaving the Soyuz
I can't believe the ending, but at the same time, I knew it would end like that. You know something's up when the movie shows the fishermens' boat slowly approach the capsule with dramatic music leading up to them looking inside.
Mr. Snoyboy I knewww it would end like that too. The plot twist is so predictable
Yet Calvin can evolve to adapt to that
@@mr.snoyboy3903 yeah they should have had it end with a happy ending because I seen it coming the second they hit pieces of the shuttle
@@williammiller496 I expected the plot twist to be that the lady doctor was infected by Calvin cells. Each cell is identical they said and one cell multiplied and grew into the creature. It touched her so I was expecting her to be infected like a bacteria infects you.
The film actually illustrates Calvin's behaviour very well. It showed that it was curious and indifferent to the humans until being shocked and it's further backed up with that scene with the rat. Calvin was curious and indifferent, touching and feeling what the rat is like then the rat bit him which made him consume it
well some of the astronauts didn't even hurt or touch Calvin yet it still consumed them
@@tamecountess That may be true however think of it this way. Calvin is the only one of his kind on the ship. The humans have shown Calvin that they will shock him or burn him or even eject him so to Calvin all of them are a threat to him even if they weren't a threat before
This Is an interesting point of view but keep in mind that Calvin Is an alpha predator.Even if no one attacked him, he would still need nourishment due to his presumed nature.
Sounds kind of like every dumb human interacting with anything new for all of time. Actually worse, they would kill even if others didn’t attack.

@@mamtozuhur Too bad we didn't get it. Buddy just summarizes what we just watched. He doesn't actually explain why Jordan's pod made it to Earth when he was steering it away. Why was it still on auto-pilot when we clearly see him take it off? He doesn't explain how and why Miranda was able to make the black box warning if she was freaking out flying off into deep-space. When did that scene take place? We see her computer course correct back to it's normal course, so how did she get thrown off? None of that makes sense, and I came here looking for answers to those questions, and didn't get them. All I got was a summary of the movie.. Which I just watched. Thanks bud.. Real big help.
@@Saimeren so apparently calvin is smart and knew the general way to use the computers. That or hes kinda like a symbiote where they absorb the information from the stuff it kills. Considering the order it kills the crew, its safe to say this is the case. The first one it kills is rory whose the stations mechanic and knows all the ins and outs of the place. How else would calvin know where to find the coolant? Then he starts absorbing hugh who would have the information regarding the bodies and how best to attack somebody to absorb them which he utilizes to kill the secondary crew. He then kills sho whose a pilot and a pilot would know how to use the autopilot system. Foundflix also pointed out how miranda went off course. The pods in the movie collide with each other. Miranda not being a pilot wouldnt know how to operate the system to readjust her course. She must have thought shed be safe and did the recording ahead of time. Theres no way theyd be able to recover her pod even if the earth survive
I love how hard a task it proved to be to stay in space. In movies getting back to earth is always the problem, and now this one time the goal is to not get back and they actually fail. Pretty hilarious in a way.

I think one important thing you left out was that Calvin grabbed Jordan’s arm while he was piloting the ship into deep space. Jordan was attempting to steer away from Earth and Calvin seemed to know Jordan’s motive and grabbed his wrist prying his hand away from the control. Now I was trying to figure out if it was on purpose or was Calvin just trying to maintain control of Jordan and just saw his hand moving. It’s a cool thought that Calvin might have been some sort of ultra intelligent being or became more intelligent as it consumed more matter.
Yeah I agree. If the implication is that Calvin had sufficient intelligence to know that it needed to prevent Jordan from manipulating the controls, that would suggest it had developed the ability to understand human technology and possibly even spoken language. I think your 2nd theory is more likely. It was just responding to his movement and that action coincidently guarantee re-entry.
I think Calvin intelligence is far beyond human. By the look of how quick it grow, the cellular level, strength, energy and quick response. It survive void in space for how long we don't know, perhaps it has already live for millions of years and has accumulated so much knowledge.
This is the first comment I saw that made sense of why I thought the video seems wrong, like Calvin isn't smart enough to know it's gotta hop back with the fishing boat and destroying it is no different from just destroying the station. Like it's beyond parasitic, to the point that it's manipulative. I imagine it now spreads and pushes an agenda of developing interstellar flight
intelligence doesnt means knowledge. noway in hell that he knows how to control a spacecraft without seeing one before.

I loved how at the end, Calvin specifically lands in the Ocean.. think about it.. after Calvin eats the few Indigenous fishermen who discover the capsule, he slinks off into the ocean.. and eats EVERYTHING under water.. by the time he emerged from the Ocean to take on humanity, he'd likely be the size of a walking land mass, an island-sized Alien or bigger. I think the landing in the ocean was intentional, for that terrifying purpose. The Ocean would be the LAST place you'd want Calvin to get to, here on Earth, unlimited food supply, and convenient discretion in the eyes of Humanity. By the time he left the Ocean and turned to land, we would've stood absolutely no chance against him.

TheHornyGorrilaz Hugh did explain that it can store oxygen for a small period of time
how convenient indeed
Evolution has not necessitated it
I just noticed that XD
yeah but it was bloody ages it survived without oxygen. it really was stupid...
What I got from the movie is that Calvin only killed people who harmed it. The first death occurred due to the scientist shocking Calvin, and Reynolds died due to panic just like everyone else. Jordan survived because throughout the movie he was the only one who did not harm Calvin.
this is acualy a good idea, but if you saw the movie Calvin did attack him but i didnt kill him. I believe he used him as a food source due to calvin needing to eat in order to grow. Calvin either A) went into some kind of hibernation & is using him as food or B) it was slowy feeding of him not knowing when he'll get more food but its really hard to say.. Like Hugh said in the movie "A cornered creature will do whatever it takes to ensure its survival"
Armoon26 yea it looked nice to the rat till it attacked it then Calvin killed it and same when they shoked him
Armoon26 and even the rat that went in there, Calvin was cool with it before the rat bit him, then he fucked the rat up.
Armoon26 these are strong and valuable points which you presented, but still remains a mystery. I guess there's got to be a sequel of this movie, it shouldnt be left unexplained for sure AF.
Armoon26 I feel the same exact way. They make a point in the movie to say how we humans don't have a good track record when coming into contact with "others" as we end up destroying everything . I really liked this movie as it can be taken as kinda of a warning o man kind. If Calvin was more evolved at the point I think he would have understood that the rat was just going on instinct but at that point Calvin just sees something attacking him and does what needs to be done to survive. I think Calvin is slightly more "evolved" and realized Jordan is not a threat but still needs to survive and go into a hibernation type sleep. I mean honestly you shock an unknown life form and you don't think anything bad will happen? Ugh , humans
I really like how it's a lot like the film Alien (1979) but still stays very different
This is definitely one of the better Sci fi movies in the past 10 years it was deftly influenced by a lot of classic ones but someway it made its own and it made it interesting the whole time You were always on suspense not knowing what's gonna happen
yes but sadly it lost $ and so there wont be a life 2. Cost 58 mil made 38 mil. I missed this in 2017 and just saw it so wanted to know if there might be a sequel. It is possible someone might make a low budget sequel.

@roman r Yeah But, OBVIOUSLY, YOU MISSED THE POINT where I said "you explained nothing at all about the ending you simply recapped the movie..." Why are you still here? Just because you're satisfied with the movie doesn't mean he isn't a clickbait POS. And obviously, you didn't DO YOUR RESEARCH ABOUT the movie, for the writer said he isn't going to have a sequel. I need to know what is going on at the end... which you obviously didn't see. But that's just me. and I'd get over it, but h this trashbag lied to me and you're defending him.
"YOU MISSED THE POINT where I said" - no, I didnt "Just because you're satisfied with the movie doesn't mean he isn't a clickbait" - I didn't say anything about the video at first and later acknowledged that was a stupid video. "DO YOUR RESEARCH ABOUT the movie" ?!?! "I need to know what is going on at the end... which you obviously didn't see" - ofc I did see the ending what are u talking. and what do you need to know about the ending? was it really so hard to understand for you? " and you're defending him." - where did I defend him? I, in fact, said it's a stupid video didn't I. all I'm saying is: that I don't see what you expected to see here. it's a pretty self-explanatory movie and also ending. it's not super complex or hard to understand, so what explanation do you need? the only thing that is even worth talking about is maybe the state the alien seems to be in after the landing and why Jack Gyllenhaal's character is still alive. but he actually talked about that in the video so yeah.
I LOVE the ending because it wasn't a happy one but a straight up realistic one, and the writer did not bail out the main female character , mistakes were made and they all took the L. Amazing fuckin movie.
DJ M.I.A. This movie was terrible
The movie wasn't realistic at all. It was a plottwist. The movie was fun but not realistic. Calvin is just one lucky bastard he made it this far.

@@jerrelhurenkamp5251 it's very realistic the black person on the spaceship was consumed by curiosity and greed he just wanted the most benefit out of Calvin The species was very evolved all muscles and really powerful he thought such an evolved species could very well heal itself but maybe even human body parts he got lost in the greed and Calvin saw them as a threat He was less cautious around a literall creature they knew nothing about

What else is it supposed to hunt? Do lions only hunt prey that hurt it?
It’s possible because a human hurt it, it, considers all humans a threat due to it’s primal outlook.
Well what else does it have to eat? Screwdrivers?
@MotherTouching-Ninjas Do you think that all animals that have to eat other animals in order to survive are mean?
They need to make a part 2 to this or make a prequel that explains the life of Calvin before we had found him Tell me you wouldn't go pay to see that movie
I am so interested to find out both. Calvin after he landed on earth and Calvin's life in Mars. I am just hoping they make another movie
A sequel would be a big mistake. Some things are best left to the imagination. They'd also do stupid things with the story like revealing that the lady in the escape pod actually survived.
this one lost money so no sequels or prequels for a movie that only made 30 mil + about 8 mil overseas.
@@Catman-ke2dx You never know sometimes things build a following and Garner attention later on,
Jordan survived because Calvin didn’t have time to feed. The capsule is hurtling through the atmosphere on fire. It’s obvious Calvin is or has evolved to exhibit high levels of durability, and adaptability. To me Jordan survived because Calvin LITERALLY KNOWS WHAT HES DOING and wanted to land on earth. He’s exhibited intelligence and awareness beyond any animal we have on earth. While still small it “used a knife”, like a tool to escape. It knew to hide quietly and feed on the leg of the one guy who was paralyzed. I believe it’s either inherently super-intelligent or it becomes smarter the bigger the life forms it consumes. It didn’t eat Jordan because 1. even mindless predators would be distracted about being in a fiery pod falling from space . Similar to Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, taking a form that cushions impact as well as serves as a sort of transition hibernation...a cocoon type metamorphosis that will wait to be exposed to whatever new environment it finds itself and will awaken after adjusting, and adapting optimally to survive AND consume new life forms like it did when they picked it up first. And... 2. 2nd reason I believe is it legitimately wanted to go to earth and it was saving Jordan as a snack in case there wasn’t going to be food where they we’re going or for awhile and it kept Jordan trapped until it woke up. Yeeesh. My ultimate theory is Calvin is a super Apex predator that is literally indestructible, can withstand virtually any extreme physical or environmental stimulus, including pressure, heat, cold, trauma, and even aging. He’s designed to not only consume apparently any life form, but integrate its prey’s organic material into it’s own DNA to grow exponentially larger and more complex. Calvin’s easily millions of years old and likely only one or last one of it’s kind and may even be responsible for the discovery of LIFE or lack thereof on Mars and potentially Earth.
Idk Calvin kinda reminds me of Adam smasher from cyberpunk. How he's designed to be an undefeatable boss when the player gets too good or too strong. Same concept here idk
Sounds like the movie sets itself up for a sequel!

The story is pretty straightforward. Not a whole lot (esp. the ending) needs to be explained.
Apparently, if you add 'Explained' in the title people are more likely to watch the video.
true, give this man a calvin
carson dellinger this channel is an example of Americans plummeting into profound ignorance.
"it doesn't look like it's feeding off him" dude he literally had a huge spot of alien on his forehead with blood around it, safe to say he was feeding off him somehow. Good job at recapping the movie instead of actually explaining the ending
Wasn't feeding on him and eveything he said makes perfect sense. I mean there's a reason it didn't kill the fisherman
Why didn’t they just change the atmosphere like they did at the start so it died?
Slav doggo or why didn’t Ika push her self away from the ISS when Calvin was crawling all over her.
Calvin is really smart, he can propell itself back to the ISS using the action-reaction law of motion, where calvin will push the astronaut opposite to the direction of the ISS so calvin can be pushed to the ISS.
If im not mistaken calvin doesn't die, they don't really know how to kill it, when its atmosphere changes it just goes into hibernation and also changes its form.
Kenneth Han she probably could have held on to him long enough to be too far away from the station for him to sense it (idk how good his vision is but it’s plausible)
The air on the ship it was breathing was different., clearly it let go of that hibernation instinct when in danger and when it got a bit bigger.
I think that the reason why Jordan wasn't killed was because he had radiation poisoning and the creature did not want to become ill and die
great observation
Wow ., really great memory and statement .. i didnt even pay attention to that while watching
Sorry but no, Kalvin didn't kill him because he latched on to the pod to brace for re-entry
North Nokris sorry but no you're wrong
North Nokris Calvin almost killed every human it encountered once it reached them yet Jordan survived the landing. The radiation situation with Jordan was mentioned for a reason, I think the writers really had that in mind when they were writing the story
Calvin was faking being dead in the beginning for them to bring something else into the container for him to escape.
Louis Stout Doubt it, why didn't he just crush Hugh's hand as soon as he put it in instead of getting shocked a few times lol.
I doubt it was playing dead. Could have done that at any moment, and despite it's intelligence, their was no way it could have predicted that either it would require tools to escape or that the humans would use tools in the first place.
Really seems like Calvin first reacted aggressively, when being attacked himself. Like with the electricity rod and the rat (actually seemed to stroke the rat at first, as if enjoying the feeling of the fur) - it first attaced the rat, when bit. But, again, if it's carbon based it would need to feed at one point. So there's no way to know if treating if only kindly and nice would've ever been able to prevent any form of attack.
Louis Stout the electric prod was always in the container
Seems strange that the life form did not go dormant once it exited it's protected chamber with a simulated atmosphere and entered the atmosphere of the rest of the space station which I assume simulates the earth's atmosphere.
The end scene looks like Calvin has gone into some kind of cocoon-like state, ready to transform into its adult form, much like a caterpillar to a butterfly. That was my take away. Excellent movie, worth a sequel of the same quality.
it lost money so no sequel
A sequel wouldn’t make much sense anyways. The ending was pretty cutthroat. Not all movies need a sequel
The major thing to note is that Calvin never kills intentionally unless acting in self defense. Makes for a very different movie.
never kills intentionally? only kills in self defense? lol Kat did nothing and he killed her. sho did nothing and he killed him. like what are you talking about
@@tyreesneed Kat drowned in fluid. And it's likely that the crew of the other spacecraft likely attacked Calvin, and then it killed indiscriminately. With Sho, Calvin doesn't even kill him on screen. They get into a struggle where it looks like they are restraining each other, and then they are pulled out of the ship.
I think it made better sense that it killed all after the lead scientist shocked it. It developed a zero tolerance policy to speak
@@SplinterInYourEyeCalvin definitely killed sho
@@SplinterInYourEyeshe drowned in fluid bc Calvin caused it 💀
I thought the ending meant that calvin was hyper-intelligent and figured out their plan... re-routed the capsules so he would land on earth. I thought he would keep jake alive knowing that humans would open it to save him. but if jake were dead, they would not open it.
Yoooo I just finished the movie and this was my exact thoughts
@@socalspirit805 they would have opened it anyways. they would have opened it even if they didnt see a human inside at all even just out of curiosity.
but how would Calvin know that there would be people to open the pod? Calvin doesn’t even know Earth exists.
@@joshtimothy3500 yes he does
@@murdamanspaulding6804 No he doesn't
for a split second on the final scene where Jordan is telling the fishermen to not open the capsule you notice Calvin has integrated with Jordan, his 'webs' are clutched around his brain so the theory being: Calvin is reading Jordan's thoughts (like the brain bug in troopers) discovering then turning their plan back on them.
I noticed this too. The fact that this guy didn't notice it when the whole point of this video was to explain the ending makes me think he's phoning it in.
@@MrJoking4fun has this dude ever actually made a good video about the endings of movies?
@@emilyroberts4128 idk I stumbled across this video. Idk if his other content is good, but this video doesn't make me eager to find out.
He had his helmet closed though in the last scene
Imagine if Calvin read his mind and just went "huh, this guy's pretty cool" and became friendly
Calvin land on Earth Americans:Where is Calvin? Chinese: It's inside my tummy 😆😆😆
That's funny 😂😂😂
*tummy blows open*
it was vietnam ppl that found it
Brilliant editing made this ending. Cutting between the two escape pods had me biting my nails until the last second…when Rebecca Ferguson started screaming, so did I…
Such a waste of Ryan Reynolds...
Wait... so Jordan survived?
Nevada Adie he was supposed to have Jake's role, but had scheduling conflicts
cry more... you are so close minded that you want a movie to be predictable.
You can never have too little Ryan Reynolds.
Nevada Adie you don't waste Ryan Reynolds
"Curiosity is your biggest enemy"
it's the death of the cat...
And that how u get fucked up by calvin, just dont poke it with a weapon
But why the coot wobot
Just be careful of what you poke with a stick. It just might bite back
They basically followed the scream formula with Ryan Reynolds Everyone thought Drew was the main character and she got killed in the 1st 15 minutes
LIFE used the "indestructible alien" trope. It can live through anything - even the vacuum of space. And it can use technology too..... [Eye Roll]
ugh this movie is so good, and the ending was such a twist that i feel so mad! i felt sorry for basically everyone. but the one i felt most was the girl who was sent up into space, instead of landing back to earth because her scream felt so painful
Yea it's a horrible fate, left to either starve or suffocate.
Nah.. I loved it, and it was perfect to me... You just have like your very own tastes.....
Yes and me too 😢😢😢 I am so sad for that poor woman (Miranda)
literally my favorite space movir and the ending got me good had my heart pounding the entire time
they crashed into the debris and it changed their trajectory/course. Like a game of pool... if a ball hits something it spins off in a different direction
don't tell me this is a Cloverfield conspiracy
marcus wilson it wasn't...
marcus wilson the next cloverfield movie is going to be set on a space station and it's coming out later this year. Called "God Particle"
Yep Oct. 27 I believe.
so it turns out cloverfield is just a series title like twilight zone,,,that lame as F
marcus wilson no it's venom prequel 100% sure
love your videos bro
I just imagine Calvin in the DC universe because of Martian Manhunter and Ms. Martian, I also wonder if it could damage other strong heroes. Because it reminds me of Starro.
Jorge Luis Fernández Durán I literally thought the same thing. This is a set up for man of steel 2 lol
Isn't the ending pretty straight forward?
Evan Waffle i can't believe they killed off maranda like that -_-
Me too. I had a feeling they might pull something like that though. Solid bait and switch.
Anything that makes the audience think even for a second seems to be too much nowadays.
Evan Waffle lmao when i went to watch it everyone was like "WHAT?" When the guy went to earth instead😂
Hot Ch33se ryan renolds is the 2nd fuck up. Why he try to kill it when they dont know what kills it? Should just exit the room once the thing escape from being burnt, And isolate the lab and vacate oxygen in that lab.
one thing I don't get is how did that creature get on to the man's leg? my analogy is that the dude intentionally let the creature in to survive. Your thoughts?
I thought the same thing. I thin it acted like a leech, and injected something to keep him from feeling the pain as he fed off him. Remember when he retrieved oxygen from his lungs post Mortem? This thing adapts quickly! But I'm also wondering why the alien grabbed onto Jordan's hand as he tried to pilot the life boats? Was it preventing Jordan from veering away from earth on purpose? Maybe I'm overthinking ?
Andy Liu he can't feel his legs because he is paralyzed from the waist down so it latches on without him realizing
yeah, the thing is intentionally preventing the pilot to stir away. I've already guessed the ending during the collision with the debris. Still, that thing grabs on to the scientist leg is a little weird. While they were sealing off the ship, the scientist heard a noise and saw that thing but did nothing and his face looked guilty. So I thought he didn't want to kill that alien.....
Cheekytita he was trying to drive the ship away from the earth, but the alien is so smart, it grabbed Jordan's hands to take over. So that's why the space headed to the earth. The alien wants more food. That is my opinion
I also thought he felt sympathy for the alien and didn't want to kill it. Just like the very begging when the lab had a malfunction, he didn't take the right precaution to lock the door or whatever the problem was. His character was fishy
Meanwhile in the fisherman's family: you sure this is squid? Tastes different Fisherman: a little more soy sauce perhaps
The ending was awesome. I rly rly want a sequel.
The "hibernation theory" can be disproved by the fact that calvin was able to live just fine in the shuttle with earth simulated atmosphere and in outer space. Calvin entering earths atmosphere would not faze him at all.
The earth simulated atmosphere on the ship was that of billions of years ago,not that of the current time
The simulated atmosphere was in the test chamber where Calvis was held and not all of the ship
Kotu gravity though.
Gravity

Let Calvin grow and have him fight Godzilla!!!
Murican Empire lol..
NOOOO! He’ll fkn eat Godzilla and become so freaking massive, then eat everyone and everything else and become the size of a planet or some crap lol
Cherisse Jones godzilla is walking cancer, since calvin is composed of cells and never had ever delt with cancer or any similar disease on mars, cancer kills braincells in tumors killing the host quickly and painfully the longer its exposed to the radiation, giving godzilla the advantage. Calvin will slowly die out
Murican Empire a better battle would be calvin vs scp 682
Mad Dog Calvin will win
I like how these videos are "Ending Explained", then walk through the entire length of the movie for viewtime like we didn't _just_ get done watching it.
They risked their lives for the ✨PLOT✨

He got lucky. He is not that good.
ArtMan lmao his only 20 yrs old calm down😂
ArtMan how is scoring *_SEVENTY_* points lucky? 😂
anyone else think they made Calvin a bit overpowered?
Wolfe Mayhem no, because we have something overpower like calvin on earth too like human and tadigrade
A LOT overpowered!! it was a fucking tini little leave and it crushed the black man hand!! NO FUCKING WAY!! i dont care if it is all muscle, the most stronger muscle on earth cant do that on that size!! it was like The Hulk of alien forms. also a cell than is brain, eye, and muscle at the same time cant have enough energy to function and be that strong if is not dedicated to one function.
Well that was in space. Due to its body, it most likely would have been a sea dweller, which would make it have a physical advantage over humans, who, for most of our lives, are built to walk on land.
They made it way too clever
Wolfe Mayhem just a bit 😂
I thought the twist would be that the alien had already divided and there was one in each escape pod.
So, if asked , ”why did you disobey orders?” They could could theoretically say, “science.”
I was lucky enough to not have the ending not spoiled for me. My jaw dropped to the floor.
Jordan survived so that other humans would consider to save him so that Calvin can escape.
Smart Calvin.
@Time Lord Because the alien knows everything and is unkillable. Poor writing can't make something threatening while also vulnerable.
@@ckotherletters wait for a week let the bacteria do their work :p
ckotherletters It’s called the more it eats the smarter it gets plus also it was probably going like “might not be food where I’m going some imma save a little snack”
They would’ve open it anyways..
The director said Calvin didn’t kill Jordan Bc Jordan found a way to communicate with calvin and Calvin didn’t see him as a threat so he could return in a sequel
Whaaaaaaatt where’s the link!! Pls
communicate how?

No one was left on the planet to make LIFE 2.
Right! Why would anyone make a sequel like that?
Give him a box of Krispy Kreme donuts served by Rita Repulsa and he'll be satisfied a while lol
Nick Mattio 😂😂 the marketing was heavy in that movie
Miranda might survive, her pod will definitely reenter the atmosphere in the near future. The ISS has thrusters primarily to keep it from falling back to earth. It has to boost its orbit roughly once a month because the very thin atmosphere at low earth orbit slows it down. The last view of the ISS we see as the two escape capsules leave shows the atmosphere is starting to become visible on the ISS. This indicates it is already at a dangerously low altitude. We can also see the trajectory of Miranda's capsule relative to Jordan's, she is A): traveling faster than him, this will raise her orbit on the opposite side of the planet but not raise it at her current location; (B): she is traveling upwards, this will raise her orbit one quarter of the way around earth, but equally lower it 3/4s of the way around the earth. Currently, the ISS uses a 3 man Soyuz escape pod, there is no one man "lifeboat". The Soyuz has 380m/s of delta-v, it uses half that getting to the ISS. You need roughly 3700 to escape the earth's gravity and 100 m/s to reenter earth's atmosphere. I also calculated that at the ISS's original orbit, she would reenter the atmosphere within 60 days from normal orbital decay. The Soyuz capsule has life support for a 3 man crew of 4 days, with just her this will last a minimum of two weeks. But like I said, based upon her trajectory, she will be striking the edge of the atmosphere every orbit at the location where the pod seperated, and this should bring her back to Earth in a period of several hours to several days.
Special EDy real scientist
True
Science yeah
If the director wanted her to die in that movie so let it be.
iAmGio Nah, she just had to poop real bad, and now she's going to have to hold it for a few hours/days. Shit's traumatic.
I remember when I watched it the first time, I said to myself when the capsule splashed in the water, "I hope that's the right capsule." But I had no idea that this was the way the movie would end up! I was shocked to see her freaking out and drifting further and further into space to die once her oxygen is out in a few hours. The part I was wondering was how the mix-up happened, and when I watched it the second time I confirmed that there was debris from all that communication tower mess smashing into one or both of them, but I couldn't really tell which one was which and whether it was going in the right direction and of course that is what was intended, so we could enjoy the surprise. But I was trying to figure out logically whether this was as a result of the stress of Calvin attacking him or if the collision somehow factored into his mistake, and I even contemplated whether he did it on purpose, and was not so selfless after all. But that last one made no sense, since he was so heroic, or tried to be, several times; plus, his yelling at the fishermen NOT to come toward him conflicts with that last speculation. So I guess it's got something to do with the collision or Calvin enabling the mistake to occur. Or maybe Calvin was making it so that he could not manoeuvre the stick by squeezing him. That webbing thing made me wonder too. But I thought maybe it had something to do with the experience of entering the atmosphere and he just took a nap and trapped him in the webbing for food later.
I assumed Jordan was alive because Calvin was forcing his hands to pilot the ship to earth or something like that.
Proof leafy is an alien...
gamer 2000 hah
gamer 2000 Who?
Linkus if I give you 20$ will you like him?
TheKalvin27
wisterw42 Lmao.
SPOILER: I really liked this movie. Humans make mistakes and that's not a bad thing. Just like when they shocked Calvin, that is what made him so "deadly" cause if not Calvin would be a calm creature/alien, but how would have they have known? And both David and the other girl planned on David going into deep space with the alien so it couldn't reach earth and the girl safely back in earth. Apparently it all ended wrong with the opposite happening. The reason I liked this ending was because it's a movie, and not every movie or plan will always end the right way. But at least they tried.
Strong hope the reason it ended this way was because it's the prequel to Venom
Jorge Legorreta-Luna But it just can't be. It showed none of the Symbiote's characteristics. Sure, it "attached" to the humans, but not at all like the Klyntars (symbiotes) would.
『Za Planet』 I agree. But then again, this is the MCU we are talking about. They have rebooted and reconstructed the characteristics of several heroes and villains. A recent example would be Spider-Man's Vulture, he is entirely different from the comic books one yet they made it fit into the storyline and made him very likeable.
Yeah you're right in that regard but they have to keep some characteristics the same right?
Jorge Legorreta-Luna this thing is completely unrelated to Venom
Who would win? 1 cell ded boi 1 well trained and well communicated crew operating a space craft

Calvin was probably threatened becuase of that taser , it pissed it off and also the rat scene it didnt seem to be agressive until the rat suprised it
