He put much force in it that it hit the glass, and guess what? It went in. I'm not diminishing his 3 point shooting ability whatsoever but you can't deny that that's a lucky shot.

  • In European leagues, Serbian players are known for these kinds of 3-pointers from afar in the last second(s). For example, Aleksandar Sasa Djordjevic did it more than once. But Dusan Kecman in 2010 (Partizan vs. Cibona in Zagreb) is something unique. Jokic in amazing here, but that was unbelievable :-)

  • This shows how the game has evolved. I remember accidently shooting near half court jump shots like this in NBA 2K while still trying to learn the controls. I used to laugh at how they wouldn't correct the shooting animation of the player from that far a distance. It didn't make sense to have the player have the same form as when he would shoot it from normal distance. Now I see Jokic do this in real life.

With the score tied, a contested 3 off the dribble wasn't the primary goal. The ideal shot would have been Murray catching it in motion towards the basket near the 3pt line and getting something closer to the rim more in the 10-16 ft range where hes pretty lethal.

    • This is his 9th year and his advanced stats are top 5 all time. He is already 4th all time in triple doubles. He is only 28 so he probably has 5-6 peak years left because he doesn't depend on athletic dominance although he is probably the best conditioned center in the history of the game. He runs after games! Luka is great but he doesn't have the defensive impact of Jokic. Trae won't break into the top 50 all time players. Giannis will push for top ten. LeBron is already there.
